Sharing the facts from my story. Come to your own conclusion and decision if you'd like to use this…read morebusiness... *Tuesday 9/22/26 at 9:30 AM: My husband took my car to Kwik Kar for an oil change. Inside the center console was a Louis Vuitton small purse. (Yes I know I should have removed it, but unfortunately I didn't before we made this quick appointment.) During the service the employees did drive my car around to the service area and had to access the glove box for the cabin air filter. 10 AM: oil change is done and my husband brings my car home. The passenger side seat was laid all the way back and the glove box was all rummaged through with things left on the floor that had fallen out. Not the way we would have liked for them to have left my car but figured it was when they were changing the cabin air filter. *Wednesday 9/23/26 around 8:30 AM: I go to my car to grab this small purse to take with me on a work trip. The purse is missing. We look everywhere for it but I knew I hadn't taken it out. Later that same day, my husband calls Kwik Kar to report the missing item. He is told by the manager "we aren't allowed to open the center console" (like a rule would absolutely keep anyone from opening it). He says they do have cameras but he doesn't have access to them so he will contact the owner. My husband said okay and to please contact us ASAP. *Thursday 9/24/26: we don't hear anything *Friday 9/25/26 around 12:30 PM: I return from my work trip. My husband calls Kwik Kar. Gets the same "we aren't allowed to access the center console" response and is told the manager has not heard from the owner. I then continued to call several times to try and reach them myself before filing a police report for stolen property. No one ever answered the phone. 3:05 PM: I call again, the manager answered this time. I told him 48 hours is long enough to hear from the owner and check the footage and I'll be filing a police report immediately. 3:07 PM: I call Hays County Sheriff and file the report for stolen property. I give all of my facts to the sheriff along with the value of the purse and a photo for reference and a picture of our receipt from Kwik Kar showing the time, date, and initials for the technicians who worked on my vehicle. 3:23 PM: Sheriff calls me back to let me know he spoke to the manager, who gave him the same answer "we aren't allowed to open the center console". He speaks to the owner as well who informs him that the cameras they have are not working/functioning so there isn't footage he can look at... Sheriff tells them "this could have been solved in 15 minutes if you had working cameras." Car is parked securely in our garage every night and there was no other time it was left unlocked or unattended. We have never heard from the owner or been given the option to speak with them. No one has communicated anything with us without us calling or the sheriff stopping by and relaying to me his conversation. Absolutely no care for me (the customer) and my concerns at all. Again, these are my facts. You are welcome to your own conclusion and choice to get your car serviced there. However, I thought my story would be helpful for people to hear.

I don't know anything about it; I trust them and let them do the most they could in the past, until yesterday. I had a flat tire, and it was not on the side. They told me that I need to get a new tire. The price was higher than in other shops. I negotiated the price down and replaced it. When I was ready to pay, they told me I stripped the wheel stud when I changed the flat tire for a spare. They asked me to replace the wheel stub. The parts are $40, but the service will be $285. I was shocked and told them no. I booked the service at the Cover Jeep Bee Cave, and they put the stub back on with a $0 charge. Austin Auto Repair, with a 5 star rating, seemed like the place to go. I called them and made an appointment and dropped my vehicle off the next morning around 9am. By noon the shop called me and told me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle, an estimated time it would be ready, and exactly how much it would be down to the penny. They did the repair and by 5pm I had my car back all fixed and ready to go. Communication with the repair shop was excellent, and the price was fair as well. I'm so thankful I found a great mechanic shop my very first week in Austin. I'll be taking both of my vehicles here for everything from the big to the little stuff. I highly recommend going if you're having car trouble, or even for an oil change.
