Inside the center console was a Louis Vuitton small purse. (Yes I know I should have removed it, but unfortunately I didn't before we made this quick appointment.) During the service the employees did drive my car around to the service area and had to access the glove box for the cabin air filter. 10 AM: oil change is done and my husband brings my car home. The passenger side seat was laid all the way back and the glove box was all rummaged through with things left on the floor that had fallen out. Not the way we would have liked for them to have left my car but figured it was when they were changing the cabin air filter. *Wednesday 9/23/26 around 8:30 AM: I go to my car to grab this small purse to take with me on a work trip. The purse is missing. We look everywhere for it but I knew I hadn't taken it out. Later that same day, my husband calls Kwik Kar to report the missing item. He is told by the manager "we aren't allowed to open the center console" (like a rule would absolutely keep anyone from opening it). He says they do have cameras but he doesn't have access to them so he will contact the owner. My husband said okay and to please contact us ASAP. *Thursday 9/24/26: we don't hear anything *Friday 9/25/26 around 12:30 PM: I return from my work trip. My husband calls Kwik Kar. Gets the same "we aren't allowed to access the center console" response and is told the manager has not heard from the owner. I then continued to call several times to try and reach them myself before filing a police report for stolen property. No one ever answered the phone. 3:05 PM: I call again, the manager answered this time. I told him 48 hours is long enough to hear from the owner and check the footage and I'll be filing a police report immediately. 3:07 PM: I call Hays County Sheriff and file the report for stolen property. I give all of my facts to the sheriff along with the value of the purse and a photo for reference and a picture of our receipt from Kwik Kar showing the time, date, and initials for the technicians who worked on my vehicle. 3:23 PM: Sheriff calls me back to let me know he spoke to the manager, who gave him the same answer "we aren't allowed to open the center console". He speaks to the owner as well who informs him that the cameras they have are not working/functioning so there isn't footage he can look at... Sheriff tells them "this could have been solved in 15 minutes if you had working cameras." Car is parked securely in our garage every night and there was no other time it was left unlocked or unattended. We have never heard from the owner or been given the option to speak with them. No one has communicated anything with us without us calling or the sheriff stopping by and relaying to me his conversation. Absolutely no care for me (the customer) and my concerns at all. Again, these are my facts. You are welcome to your own conclusion and choice to get your car serviced there. However, I thought my story would be helpful for people to hear.

Got home and started to notice oil around my oil filter, just took it to a different shop and my oil filter wasn't torqued to spec and started spinning freely immediately when loosened, caught it semi early but could've caused engine failure if I didn't have an upgraded oil pan. I suggest you check your car if you're able to when get an oil change from this location. Also there was a dent around the oil filter housing??

How long had it been sitting in the heat? After getting my car detailed, the spots were still there. I called and the owner said there was nothing he could do. I'll pretty sure my car was outside most of the time it was there. Those spots weren't there when I had to towed to them. Now I have to spend more money to get it my car repainted!
