Hi friends. Jiffy Lube, what can I say? Well, I'm not going to tell you what you'd expect. Jiffy Lube is hit and miss because each location has a different owner. Some locations are top notch, and others not so much. At this location I have taken all my family cars, every time the staff here has went above and beyond. While patiently waiting in their lobby, I have heard nothing but commendations for their service, and in over ten years of business with this location, I have never heard or seen any customer complain. That's a true testament of doing it right the first time; great service, quick, fast, and easy. You cannot ask for more. Highly recommended. read more

Guy goes in for an oil change, is recommended an engine flush to clean out sludge and a new air filter to replace the new one he already has. This is how a $50 oil change turns into $180. Nice. I've been taking my cars to jiffy lube since they opened and to this particular location for over 20 years. I know cars - I've done all sorts of work on vehicles since I was a kid. But you couldn't pay me enough to change my own oil. It's way more efficient to pay a professional and be done in 20 mins or so. Naturally, I encouraged all three of my sons to do the same thing - whether they can do to job themselves or not. Today, one of my sons ( who does not turn wrenches) took his car to this location and was taken advantage of. There's a reason consumers hate taking auto-mechanic advice: because so many people out there get %^&*(!! out of their hard earned money. This is a great example. They told him the engine had sludge. He bought it instead of calling me. Adulting... you know. The problem with that is that the car had virtually new engine and transmission oils because I personal rebuilt the top of engine myself this past December. My son didn't even need an oil change, let alone $180 in unnecessary service. They straight out lied to him - that's what gets me. How do you do that? deliberately lie to someone to make money. It's good to know though. Now, not only will I NEVER go back to this Jiffy Lube, I'll never go to any and neither will all three of my sons. Valuable lesson for all of us. Thanks for that. Okay, so I left a review to my innitial choice, Valvoline down the street. Feel free to read that. There is a nice environment here. My first impression is that customers are happily waiting for their cars to be done in the waiting room, while Raquel explained all of the services rendered to the T. As for myself, it was a bit more expensive than anticipated because my air filter was in bad shape. They topped off ALL the fluids on the house, checked brakes, wipers, lights, cleaned my windows... etc. And I was given a nice discount. There is free WiFi. As for this coffee addict, take it from me and please skip it, lol...but I am here for motor oil not coffee, so byoc. The iconic Bob's Burgers is across the street to the west of Jiffy Lube. This Jiffy Lube location is exactly on the corner of Firestone and Pomering in Downey. Came here for a oil change June 27,2021 and never has my car had any oil leaking issue or problems and the moment i bring it here to get my oil change my car starts leaking oil from the bottom how is that please fix this issue because this is not right u would think u guys are professionals. My husband and I were having lunch at Bob big boys and my husband mentioned he needed a oil change. jiffy lube across the street so while we waited for our food my husband took the car over... Welp kinda not happy with this jiffy lube we paid 73.56 and 34.30 is labor... They didn't even vacuum the car it was just a simple oil change But this comes included... They didn't even ask us if we wanted one... like I said it comes with it. I'm looking over the sales slip due too the husband and I noticing that it wasn't vacuumed. He's came to jiffy lube for years this includes many different locations within these years so he's fimilar with there services...the sales slip says deliced well thanks for asking us thats bad service right there we would have said yess vacuum the car.. We even corrected the worker he was going too charge us 32 dollars but my husband told him that wasn't right so we paid 73.56 we will not be coming here again. Just a little advice don't mark things without going over it with the customers not cool at all. read more

I wanted to get my cabin air filter changed because there is an odor in my car and I was convinced the previous owners of my car never changed it. I drove up to this Jiffy Lube in Downey on Firestone Blvd and everyone there was happy to help me. My car is a 2008 Volkswagen Beetle, so I know they are tricky cars to work with. To access the cabin air filter requires removing several panels on the dashboard and using a few different tools. Eddie the mechanic patiently worked on my car. Come to find out once he got in there that my car doesn't even come with a cabin air filter! I knew from internet research that there was a chance my Beetle doesn't come with one. Most do though. Yet mine was an unlucky one that didn't. Which sucks. I had hoped it did. At any rate, Eddie put the car back together and now I know! Billy, another man that worked there and talked me through the process also helped me discuss possible solutions to my car's odor problem. He was very friendly and a great help to me.
