I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mario the mechanic at Jiffy Lube in Bellflower, CA. I was visiting Bellflower from out of town yesterday and found myself in a stressful situation with my vehicle. As a senior citizen from a rural community, far from home, I was worried about whether my car could make the three-hour drive back home through heavy traffic. I was tired, concerned, and unsure what to do. I decided to take my car to the nearby Bellflower Jiffly Lube. The Jiffy Lube greeter lady told me that she would ask their top mechanic, Mario, to give me 10 minutes of time to look at my car problem. Mario offered to take a quick courtesy look at my car, near the end of a long, hot work day. He took the time to look at my engine, helped me with my oil issue, topped off my oil with a half quart of oil (two weeks removed from my Jiffy Lube full oil change service back at home) and worked diligently to coach me on how to get my car back in good working condition. What impressed me most was Mario's attitude. He was patient, empathetic, and genuinely kind and helpful throughout the entire experience. My family has been loyal Jiffy Lube customers in our small rural hometown for decades, and Mario reminded me why. He simply said he wanted to help, if he could. That kind of compassion and service is rare these days. Congratulations, Jiffy Lube, for hiring such intelligent and helpful employees! Thank You, Mario! I understood Mario's diagnosis of my engine problem, and was easily able to take Mario's advice, purchase a maintenenace product he recommemded from the near-by auto parts store (Mario gave me perfect directions to find the auto parts store) and using the product as Mario had recommended, my engine alert light went out, the car began running perfectly again, and I was able to make the 3-hour trip back home safely, smoothly, and with full peace of mind. He did an excellent job accurately diagnosing my problem, and coaching me on how to fix my car. More importantly, however, he demonstrated automotive expertise (and true kindness) when I needed it most, far from home. He reminded me that there are still good people (and good companies) in the world! Jiffy Lube is fortunate to have an employee like Mario. Took my car to get work done in April and they took about 2 days to get it done. A few days later my car started making noises and my steering wheel shifted to the right and was no longer straight. I was lied to about having my car aligned, they said I declined it then they said they checked and it was done yet it's not on my original paperwork. I reached out to corporate and still have not gotten a response. Very unprofessional and irresponsible on their behalf, now I have to spend more money to fix issues that turned up as a result of whatever they did which they still couldn't diagnose. They change oil, but I'm not sure if the employees were new on the day I came, but the lady that tried to give me an explanation clearly did not know how to explain what was going on. It just seemed like they were just trying to throw on services that I knew I had already recently had done, but they didn't know I had already taken care of those things. One of the gentlemen broke the panel on my driver's seat and neither of the men that were involved in my transaction would take responsibility for it. I am the only driver of my car my legs are so short my seat is pulled up all the way, I was told my seat was never moved but neither of them would have fit without moving the seat when they drove it in to work bay. This place is ridiculous. They charge my son for a radiator replacement and a oil pan replacement. The oil pan is leak leaking. The radiator is leaking and they don't want to take responsibility for it. They also don't want to work with us on a rental or fix. He has no car for work. Pretty good maintenance. Reasonable prices. I would say the person that works on Monday in the morning is rude asf. I went for an oil change and one of the technicians informed me that I need additional maintenance done. There was another technician making comments relating to my car, inconsiderate comments like "no mames" and it kept getting louder by the second. Instead of professional informing me on the severity of the additional maintenance, he kept getting louder and louder saying "no mames". The Bellflower location did not feel professional at all. For at least 45-1hr The Young guy is very nice and honest ..he's koolbeanz Didn't take long for him to start my paperwork and get my car in. However ,I'm sure there's other people waiting. I have a Coupon for $10 off, But received a -$20 off as a Thank you Synthetic Oil Guy advised my car takes synthetic oil but I've never used that oil in my car before Ever! Advised just put air in the ties,oil change,etc and let me get going I don't want o but anything extra. If you value your vehicle go elsewhere! These kids are crooks constantly trying to upsell you for services you don't need, even lying about the condition of your breaks to get a sale. I found an empty bottle of some product which they simply left inside the hood of my car. Again it's a bunch of college age kids who look super hungover and uninterested, the location is not very clean and a bit dirty. There are better options for simple oil changes this place is not worthy of your time or money and just might cost you more when they screw up your ride. You have been warned! read more

Wish I could give them zero stars. Went for a Lyft inspection. They failed me for my brakes being in the red and the manager told me it was under 3mm. I asked him to specify why my car failed he said Lyft has three ratings green yellow and red for brake pads and mine were in the red under three mm. I inspected them when I got home definitely over 3mm. I took it to Lexus and it was over 5mm. I felt something was off when I was going. Wouldn't be surprised if they unscrewed a light bulb. Lyft also only does pass/fail on their inspection forms I asked around other inspections places and they said my brakes are definitely fine. Upon reading other reviews it seems like lying about brake conditions is par for the course at this location read more

I was having issues with a coolant hose last week and called to ask if they might be able to change it because my dealership was charging 600 for just labor! They told me bring the car in and they'll give me and estimate, I brought it in an a mechanic by the name of Gabriel told me it would be NO PROBLEM and he could have it done in about 5-10 min and no kidding he did, the dealership would have probably kept my car there for atleast 3 days and OVER CHARGED ME. I called this location and someone by the name of jimmy answered it was around 5 pm November 15. I called to speak with the manger and he asked what my first name was and after I told him he asked my last name. I asked him why does he need that and he got rude and kept asking again and again. I told him I don't feel comfortable asking that question. He said okay and hang up in my face. I called back 5 times and nobody answered. I've been coming to this location for a few years now for a basic full synthetic oil change. I've been told many times not to trust a jiffy lube (any in general not this location specifically) but I think for basic services they do a good job. The employees are always very informative and helpful with answering all my questions which I appreciate because I don't know much about cars except for what I can quickly Google. I don't know what their other services are like but I would say they do a good job for all the basics. Although I will say I go about every 6 months and the employees are always different (lol I understand different schedules) so I don't have a "go to" person I just put trust in whoever gets assigned my car. read more

Went in for an oil change and left needing a new battery... I showed up for an oil change and waited a few mins before a tech came to check out my car. I followed him out the back door and he let the door slam in my face instead of holding it for me :-) I was told $80 which is what I paid last time, no big deal. Waited in the lobby on my phone. One of the techs came in to tell me I needed a new car battery and I was in disbelief. I was confused and he told me, "look at it right there" as if I know what I was looking at. The tech threw all this information at me without simplifying it and just made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. I decided to get a second opinion before leaving my car with them for any longer. My car had already been driven out of the bay at this point anyways. I told the tech I was going to go elsewhere to get it checked out and he responded, "ok, if that's what you want to do." I really did not appreciate the attitude and poor customer service I received today. Fortunately I had a coupon and the service was fast, but the techs should definitely learn to simplify terms for non car savvy customers. I took my car last week, I stood there for a while before someone acknowledge I was there. They saw me but it was a couple on younger guys just goofing around. This is the second time that I tried getting my oil change there but , same thing the worker are always goofing around. Stay clear away if you have cars with specific oil requirements. Out IN WARRANTY VW GTI **requires** oil on the VW 502 00 approved list. Instead, the company used Mobile 1 Formula M, which is not VW approved. My better half took it back three times for issues that occurred after the change, only to be sent away. I saw the receipt and immediately noticed that they used a non-approved oil. We're a family, but she takes this car in for service so that she doesn't have to keep all of this straight. On return this morning, we were told that 'we used the right viscosity, that's all that matters. We aren't liable because this is what our system recommends. We haven't heard of warranty issues because of this.' A call to the warranty provider says that engine problems that are due to lubrication will likely no longer be covered due to use of non-approved oils. Is this how a warranty claim will turn out? Who knows? One thing that we are sure of is that a service center looking to replace dealership maintenance should use in spec products. Or at the very least, make sure the customer knows and understands that they are not using an oil that is specifically listed as required in the manual. DO NOT COME HERE!! We came here for oil changes and thought it was trustworthy but we were wrong. Techs failed to tell us I needed a new oil plug gasket resulting in my car loosing over half its oil! It could have been so much worse if I didn't catch it in time! And then they also stripped the threading of my fiancés oil plug on his car! And tried covering it up with silicone!! Do not come here!
