Can't say I've ever had any issues or concerns with this location. We've been bringing three cars here for the 6/7 years we've lived in Delmar. Their job is to sell additional services, but I never felt any pressure to say yes. Keep an eye on your maintenance records. Here's the secret. Go after 4:00 pm and the line is short to nonexistent and I think the guys are ready to go home so perhaps they work a little quicker? Idk. Use the coupons they send you or you can find them online. I personally find that if you talk to the techs like they're people, they're friendly. Shocker for some people I know. I also don't want to discredit reviewers who complain about poor/bad service because I'm sure it's happened. If I have one complaint. They do ask for too much for new cabin filters so learn to do that on your own. But at least they show me when I need to replace it. read more

I went for a simple oil change. My car, although more than 10 years old, has been meticulously well-maintained by an independent business. IN addition to the oil change, the Jiffy Lube folks insisted that the power -steering fluid needed replacement because it was "dirty". The bill was over $200, which seems a bit steep. I received a receipt on my cell phone, so went to pick up the car. They had NO RECORD of me in their service computer. And they couldn't find my key. Eventually the key was located and given to me and one of the technicians asked me for the key again. There was another lengthy delay, after which someone re-entered my data in the computer. I paid and was offered a 'free" car wash, which I accepted. Got to the car and didn't have the key! Back to the office where another scavenger hunt was required before the key was located in a plastic basket under the service counter. By now, as they say, I was 'rippin'. Ready to back out of the parking space and get in line for the car wash and there is a mini-van parked behind me, in what was apparently the line for NYS inspection. To add insult to injury, I was boxed in by a full-size pickup truce on one side. Although there were two or three employees taking money and lining up cars for washing, no one offered to help me back out. It was a trial-and-error experience. Don't go here. The location is convenient, but the aggravation isn't worth is. After reading other reviews, I am now worried that the work done on my car may have been poorly done. read more

I'll arrived at your Delaware ave Delmar NY location requested an oil change filter and tire rotation. Nope no filters for your car, can you do tire rotation nope we don't have proper tools for car, OK I'll bring back my daughters car for oil change tire rotation and inspection nope can't do internet will not stay connected. I sent a family member down to have my 2 year old car for an inspection. Everything on my car was in perfect condition (tires, glass...) I had literally just had service done at Honda, but had forgot to ask for an inspection. I was told I would have to reschedule so I decided to go this route. The gentleman who did my service, a friend, said everything looked fine on my van and just bring it up another day next week. A few minutes after the inspection started an employee, no name tag, came in and told her the van did not pass inspection! She immediately called me to let me know and I asked why didn't it pass. The employee proceeded to tell her my windshield wipers front and back were worn and torn and I would need to replace them before it would pass inspection. Preposteroue! I had to go into a meeting and could not speak with her anymore. This crook charged her $128 for an inspection and three wiper blades! I called back irate and spoke to the manager, Robert, and he was very understanding. The Blade refills at Honda is only $10! And the back windshield wiper blade isn't even part of an inspection! Not only that, but he did not put the caps back on the blade and the manager had to order new ones! Bottom line... I got the money back for the blades and only pay for the inspection, but how many people get ripped off by this business? They don't have to worry about me going back up there for anything from them ever again. I've also sent an email to corporate to look more closely at this location. Beware! read more

I was warned; on numerous occasions...by my husband. Husband: Do NOT take the car to JiffyLube! You will regret it. Me: But, I take my work car there and it's fine! H: Do NOT take the car to JiffyLube. Me: But, it's so easy and close. H: You're going to regret this. Me: Uh, you're not my dad! So off to JiffyLube I go. Within 2 hours of returning my dad, I mean husband, tells me there is oil leaking from my car. Sure enough I've got a puddle forming on the garage floor. Me: Are you sure that's oil? H: (head tilt) So, off to JiffyLube I go. Turns out something happened to my "seal". JiffyLube: This happens every 1 million cars or so, lucky you. We fixed it. ..............5,000 miles or 6 months later..... H: Do NOT take the car to JiffyLube! You will regret it. Me: But, I can't get an appointment at the garage! And we are going on a long drive. H: Do NOT take the car to JiffyLube. Me: (silence) Me: (in my head....I know what I'll do. I'll take it to a different JiffyLube!) Me: (in my head) I so married my dad. Took my car to the JiffyLube in Delmar hoping for better luck. Well, you can see where this is going. A few weeks later, once again, oil on the garage floor. It was weeks later bc since I didn't tell my husband I was going back to JiffyLube he didn't look. And I'm not looking bc I'm me. So, yeah, many weeks passed. Me: Are we sure it's oil? H: Looks like oil. Me: Maybe it's something else. This damn car! H: We'll maybe you have some other issue going on. Whatever it is you gotta get it looked at. Me: I took the car to a different JiffyLube. H: (contemplates filing for divorce, head tilt, sigh, eye roll, etc and so forth) I'm almost done here. I know no one is reading this but if you are thanks for getting this far. Take the car to "my guy" who is seriously the best mechanic I've ever had. Mark: Whoever did you last oil change over tightened the blah, which caused boink, we need to lalala and hope the whatsit hasn't effected the razamatazz. You're looking at $114. Hopefully this will get you right and nothing else goes wrong. Me: I took the car to JiffyLube Mark: (head tilt I assume) Ah. Ok. Then this all makes sense. Me: My husband told me not to but I didn't listen bc I always think I know better. For what it's worth I usually DO know better. I use detergent in the dishwasher. I don't feed the dogs pork rinds. I can tell when milk has gone bad. I have skills and abilities. But from now on I will never go to ANY JiffyLube ever again. And I want my $80 back! I'll cover the extra $34 as a lesson learned. read more

Inspection Abuse. I took my 2023 Jeep Wrangler for an inspection and got extorted to spend $80 on windshield wipers to pass inspection. I drive it daily and the wipers worked fine. I have never changed wipers on any vehicle I have owned annually. Complete rip off and would suggest other to avoid this scam! read more

I took my car to the Delaware Ave., Delmar location for a NYS Inspection. They failed it for "more than 50% rust on rear brake rotors." The rear rotors and pads were replaced just four weeks ago, they are essentially brand new. My car sat in my driveway for three days before I took it in to Jiffy Lube. So naturally there was surface rust on the rotors. I live about 3 minutes away, so not enough braking to clear the rotors before I got there. I brought the car back a few hours later to show them the now shiny rotors, but they insisted I needed to replace both the rotors and pads. The "Inspector" is an absolute moron. They pulled only a front wheel for the inspection, not a rear wheel at all, only peering through the rim to look. I used to get car washes there, but I will never return again. Save yourself the hassle and do not go to Jiffy Lube. I went to a different repair shop for the inspection and asked them to pull a rear wheel and tell me what the brakes look like. The mechanic said "they're brand new." read more

When going in for a routine oil change, staff bullies people into services that are not needed - even after being told no. Budgets can not be met if you use this location. After performing an unnecessary service and charging an extra $100, the check engine light came on. I am now out more $$$ than I can afford to repair a vehicle they damaged, so my son can commute to work and college. Avoid this location!!! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO JIFFY LUBE OR LET ANYONE YOU KNOW TAKE THEIR CAR THERE FOR ANY REASON AT ALL. My wife took her car to jiffy lube to get an oil change. They never torqued her oil drain plug to the right specs. This caused an oil leak and all her oil leaked out of her car. This caused the engine to blow up and they refused to take any responsibility even after them being the last ones to touch the car. We reached out to corporate and to the store managers and they made it a point to fight to the end to not make things right and fix the car. Now she has been paying a car loan for the last 2 months on a car that she can't even move out of the driveway. I seriously don't know how these people sleep at night and call themselves decent human beings when they are constantly ripping off and taking advantage of innocent hard working people. And this is far from the first case of this that I have heard of. They are NOTORIOUS for this. Point of the story, find a different place to bring your car!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I took my car in to get oil changed in late September. Recently, my car has been having issues running and I thought it was electrical issues. If there was a way to give negative star ratings I would, as yesterday I noticed that the drip pan was CRACKED, and oil has been LEAKING OUT. If you want good, reliable service, do NOT go here. I took my car for a routine inspection, while there I told my radiator fluid was low and my break fluid needed to be replaced. When ahead with the work spent over $300. A couple months later my checked engine light came on. Open my hood turned out there was no radiator fluid in ny. Car went back to jiffy lub the guy filled it up. I told him I want to talk to the manage because I don't trust any of my work was done. The manage was toooo busy to talk to me. So I took it to cooperate, they open a case and because all jiffy lube is independently owned the only thing they can do is file complaints. Eventually spoke to the store MANAGER FLOYD, who basically said the work was done it just wasn't complete. I asked for my money back because at this point I feel scammed. He told me he will only give me my money back for the radiator flush. So now am paying more money to do the same work I paid for. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO DELMAR JIFFY LUBE.
