I brought my wife 2019 Escape Titanium in because I didn't have time to go to the dealer. I told the service advisor I wanted Synthetic blend oil. I was informed that my only option was full synthetic. They insisted that only full synthetic oil is mandatory for turbo charged engines. Maybe I was wrong. I went to the Ford website and the recommendation is synthetic blend. I showed my service advisor, and he took a photo of the Ford recommendation. He still would not accommodate the OEM oil recommendation. In the end, the oil change cost an extra approximate $45.00. They still would not accommodate the manufacturers recommendation. Beware and know what the OEM recommends for you model and engine. I am sure the OEM know better about the type of oil needed than Jiffy Lube. The service advisor said he would be fired if he didn't change the oil with anything other than the highest price oil. Enjoy the gain this time, as it will be my family's last time. read more

So normally these guys do a great job. Unfortunately when I got home, I opened the hood to add some window washer fluid. I found the oil cap sitting on top of the fan housing over my radiator. I live about 5 miles away. Had some oil splash around the engine compartment. Luckily it was not too bad. I am sure it could have been worse. POOR QUALITY OF WORK. Used to come here all the time for convenience as I live close. Brought in my car for an oil change only to find my low engine oil light on the next day on the freeway. I had to make an emergency stop at Valvoline where they took these pictures of my car. The oil filter installed was completely broken off and the whole underside of my car had oil on it. I did not hit anything. I'm so lucky it wasn't too late and valvoline was still open or I would've been stranded. Really poor quality of work for a place that specializes in oil changes. My partner took my car for an oil change and when he came back I noticed a scratch on my car on the front quarter panel. My partner called them and they told us to come in. By the time we arrived everything was cleaned and moved out the way and the manager told us there was nothing he could see that would have scratched my car. It was also suspicious that as soon as we arrived, all the workers went inside their office except the manager. The manager said they don't have cameras and that there was no proof that they caused the scratch so they refused to help or make things right. I know it happened while they had it. The guy there first said they didn't have the filter, which is weird bc this car is super common. Then he said they have the filter but they only have synthetic oil in stock, no conventional oil. Say WHAT? How is possible that a car shop who does oil changes all the time NOT have regular conventional engine oil? Sounds scammy and dishonest. I got fed up and went to a jiffylube on Riverside in Chino and instantly got the oil change. I took my other vehicle a 2021 Hyundai and they refused service then as well stating that they didn't have the filter needed. Usually they'll order the filter and ask if a 10 minute delay is okay, which is exactly what the Jiffylube in Riverside in chino did. This jiffylube is a lazy chain who doesn't want to work. At approximately 11:00 AM today, I pulled into the usual Jiffy Lube here in Chino Hills as I always have about every 5-6 weeks for the past 3 years for a usual oil change with other services, when needed. However, this time was met with absolutely unacceptable, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior by an individual named Julian. I arrived with my usual Ford Fusion and my Toyota Camry (whom my wife was driving, along with my 1 year old daughter). Same familiar faces I've seen over the years, same great service that I usually expect, (which is the only reason why I am wiling to pay more for your services). I asked Julian if I could have the usual oil services for both, along with my usual veterans discount for the service. Julian was hesitant and told me that he would have to ask another employee if that was possible. I said okay, because I always got a veterans discount for all my vehicles I brought in because they were under my name and therefore, my account. After a few minutes Julian comes in and says he would need a Veterans card from my wife. My wife then tried to answer back with the reasons why that made no sense; to which Julian cut my wife off before she could get two sentences out. I ignored Julian's disrespect towards my wife in that moment because I didn't want to provoke anything further, as I was still optimistic that Julian was going to be respectful and professional in solving this issue. It was after the second time that Julian cut my wife off so he could talk over, that I respectfully cut in to make the point that I have gotten veterans discounts for all my vehicles that I've brought before and that it shouldn't matter if there's two vehicles in need of service, if all I had to do was come by myself with each vehicle to solve the issue that Julian was so intent of enforcing. It was at this time that I was trying to explain to him, that Julian felt he could start cutting me off mid sentence to make his point that he would not provide a veterans discount to both vehicles because the white Camry was under another persons name, even though I had gotten a veterans discount for that Camry in the past when I drove it in. At this point, I was feeling very disrespected and felt Julian had disrespected my wife in the process, so I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor-- to which Julian stated he was the supervisor, to my amazement. As I looked at him shocked that he claimed to be the supervisor (even though he initially told me he had to ask someone else if he could apply the veterans discount to both vehicles), I proceeded to tell him that I have been a loyal customer to Jiffy Lube for the past decade and that the veterans discount should be applied to both vehicles, in this instance, because I've gotten the discount for every vehicle I've brought in for years, without any problems until now. He still wanted to prove some point that he was not going to apply the discount to both vehicles and that all the discounts in the past were a mistake. At this point, I was extremely upset and I told Julian to stop the service and pull my vehicles out. He then said he would and that he would put back the original oil that we showed up with as well. After about five minutes both vehicles were returned to us and we left. This was an absolute outrage and embarrassment to both my wife and myself. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years with Jiffy Lube and its services, and I will never do business with a Jiffy Lube account ever again. DO NOT COME HERE! I changed my oil back in March, mind you I only drive 10 miles both ways. I drove less than 800 miles and my warning light came on! And my oil was nearly empty! I took it to a different place because my oil was nearly at zero! It turns out the guy said "Jiffy lub did not change your oil, but just reset the censor so it shows 100% oil!" There's not much really to say other than these guys provide quality, transparent, fast service. Every time I've gone it's only been about 15-20 minutes and I'm back on the road. The employees have good attitudes and are a great help also in reminding you of perhaps getting your tires rotated and your cabin air filter changed. I had been coming here for years because of convenience, but I was turned away TWICE this past week because of "inconvenience." Their prices have also gone up just for synthetic oil change. I'd suggest going elsewhere. My most recent interaction was today, I called at 6pm asking if they were open since hours can vary because of the pandemic. They said they were. They would take the last car at 6:40pm. I get in my car and rush there before 6:10. Some guy tells me I'm too late. Took my car to Jiffy Lube and informed them during my last oil change they failed to properly secure the skid plate on the vehicle after the service. On the drive home the plate was dragging on the ground after a couple blocks of driving. I had to order special 1/4 turn screws to properly secure it. During the next visit several months later, I told them I did not want any compensation, just to double check the skid plate after the oil change this time. The worker wanted to argue about how the driver must have hit something, I reiterated I wanted nothing in the way of compensation, but expected the plate to be properly secured. Yet the worker insisted in raising his voice and arguing. I cancelled the service even though they had already drained the oil. They put the bare minimum oil back in the returned the car. I've been a Jiffy Lube customer for years and I've always received great customer service and it didn't matter which service station I chose to have my oil changed at until about 2-3 weeks ago!!! I was running errands and stopped by the Jiffy Lube on Peyton in Chino, California... the staff was just sitting around as they had no customers!!! The supervisor approached and I told him I wanted a full synthetic oil change and I asked if they could check my transmission fluid as well... I told the supervisor that my truck has a small transmission leak and I have to check the fluid level often and when I checked it today, it appeared to be low so I needed his staff to check it and add fluid if necessary... I wasn't at Jiffy Lube for ten (10) minutes and the supervisor said my truck was ready and I can pay the bill... I asked if the transmission needed more fluid and he said "no, my transmission fluid level was good"... I paid my bill and said I couldn't believe they finished so fast... the supervisor commented that his staff is very good at what they do... soon after I left and went on my way... Now fast forward to today and my truck broke down!!! My transmission crapped out on me and I had it towed to my mechanic who told me i barely had any transmission fluid!!! My mechanic said I need a rebuilt transmission and they can't work on my truck until mid-next week, so I'm out of a truck for at least ten (10) days and to make things worse, my mechanic said it's going to cost me around $3,000 to $3,500!!!! Thanks, Jiffy Lube for not doing what I asked for and correct me if I'm wrong, but your policy states you check all engine fluids and top off any fluid that is low!!!! So what happened to topping off my transmission fluid?!?!?! This experience makes me wonder if they even did an actual oil change I was charged for... or did they just top off my engine oil?!?!?! Jiffy Lube just lost a faithful customer and I hope the supervisor and the employees who worked on my truck all have transmission failures in all of their vehicles too so they too can spend $3,000 to $3,500!!!!! My oil change is typically complete within 15 minutes... The synthetic oil change with a $20 coupon is $139.48. They top off all your fluids and add air to your tires. My girlfriend took her car to this jiffy lube and she had the service was completely unprofessional! She said she heard the "mechanics" revving her car up which has an older engine almost up to 300k miles. She has dash cam footage of them telling each other to rev her car. She had asked for a manager and the guy told her that they have to rev the car for the oil change. Which makes zero sense, they just hire anyone to work on your personal vehicle here. Then he said "I will tell them not to rev the car next time" ,which on my case I won't be here next time, they shouldn't be damaging my cars engine in the first place. Having owned my 2005 Tundra since new my vehicle has never been worked on by anyone other than the Toyota dealership. This morning I decided I wanted to try a non-Toyota dealership to do my oil changed as I did not feel like sitting around the dealer for 3 to 4 hours. So, I called my local Jiffy Lube to get a price and check on the wait. After two failed attempts to answer the phone I drove down thinking they were just busy and inquired how much to change the oil. I will be honest the price from Jiffy Lube was not that much cheaper than going to Toyota and getting genuine parts if using a coupon. The plus to choosing a facility like this is that you will be in and out a lot faster than the dealer and you may not need to drive so far to get the work done.   Anyhow, I decided I was there, they could do it right then and there as there were NO customers when I pulled up. The staff was very friendly and had me out in roughly 25 minutes. Before leaving I was told that they looked at my other fluids and cleaned up all the oil from the top of my skid plate from removing the filter and draining the oil. This got me to thinking when driving home as to why they did not remove the skid plate like the dealer does, that way no oil would get on my vehicle. This truck has no oil leaks and had no oil splatter anywhere until now.   When I got home, I popped my hood and there was quite a bit of oil pooled up on the top of my skid plate. Needless to say, I was not pleased. I am very anal and would have looked anyways when I got home even if they did not say anything to me. I ended up and took my power washer to the top of the skid plate as best as I could without removing it otherwise oil may drip on my driveway.   With this being said I think my next oil change will be back at the Toyota dealership where they take the necessary parts off to do the job the correct way.
