In my last visit to a bigger chain nearly 3 months earlier, and they quoted me with a bunch of work that "all" needed to be done that would cost me well over $3k. Decided to give this place a shot, as it's down the street from my place and heard great reviews on Yelp. Jay was great and did a great job breaking everything down and reviewing next steps of what I could expect. After reviewing everything and taking my needs into account, he saves us over $1500 compared to what the big mechanic shop would charge us. I first reached out to them through Yelp, then hopped on a phone call with them, and they were able to take my car in the very next day. After diagnosing it, we were all pretty shocked to find out that what the Toyota dealership said needed to be repaired had actually been misdiagnosed. Jay was able to figure out what was really going on simply by plugging into the car and properly reading the diagnostics. We were honestly appalled that the Toyota dealership hadn't caught it in the first place. So instead of spending $7,500 at the dealership and most likely STILL not fixing the actual problem, Auto Technik was able to properly diagnose and fix my Sequoia for around $1,500. Aside from saving me a ton of money, everyone here was just so nice and communicative with me throughout the entire process. I felt like they were honest with me, explained what was going on, and genuinely wanted to make sure the actual problem was fixed. I'm seriously so appreciative of Jay and everyone at Auto Technik. Based on that, I brought my Suburban in before a 6,000-mile road trip for my daughter's college move-in. Josiah and Kenni walked me through everything it needed, and the truck runs just like new. My family and I use to come here all the time since we moved here to get our cars repaired. Just…read morerecently, I took my car in January to repair the clutch actuator in my hybrid and they took 4 months to complete the repair after trial and error. They took on a bigger project than they were qualified for, damaging a part after another, eventually replacing the hybrid battery and transmission. They always had an excuse pushing the deadline on every single inbound call. After applying daily pressure on them on a continuous basis , I finally received my car in April, however, the shop still owes me $583 for one of the car rentals they told me to purchase. I kept calling to retrieve the money but they didn't keep their word and denied paying me back. I could have easily placed a lien on the business for $583 with all the proof to retrieve my money but you know my good heart didn't follow through. Instead, writing this review will sting bigger and is the least I can do for the people. Im an easy going guy but after going through this extensive car repair, we decided to pull away from doing any future business for the wrong doing and unprofessionalism of their actions. I believe it's only right for everyone to hear about this and avoid what I went through, therefore, save yourself a headache. The owner is not a man of his word. This will bake in slowly. P.S. Like any mechanic shop it's busy and there is a bit of organized chaos but I can say for J's they keep it all pretty clean and organized. I took my 2011 Honda civic sedan in and I needed a few things covered. An oil leak, my air conditioning, and my speedometer was still on but not showing how fast I've been going. J had it for about 45 min (they were busy) and he was able to run diagnostics, find the oil leak and figure out the pump was out in my car. I don't particularly like sharing number but in my research and at a Honda dealership I would have been in the hole 3k easily and 1k of that would have just been for the diagnostics. Jay was more than fair with his price and Was straight forward with the price, but it did not break the bank and when you know you have a good mechanic you don't have to question your trust in them. Needless to say my car is running perfectly, everything is fixed and not only has J's have my trust and respect they have e a loyal customer. The quality of work matches the integrity of its owner and leader J. He has his family come in and help and honestly just meeting his kids and having passive conversations with them I could say if I knew nothing about J, his kids reflect integrity, hard work, and perspective. I usually talk to Robert when I am in and frankly trust what he says. They do get busy so if you just need service I would suggest giving a call and seeing when the best time would be to come in. Called on a Friday at noon and spoke with Jeff and told him my Jeep didn't pass smog, and what the fees were to diagnose the problem. He let me know the fees and said we could bring it down today and he would probably have it over the weekend to see what was going on. Dropped it off right away, it's only a couple miles from my house, and Jeff called with an update on Monday and said what the problem was and how much it would be to fix it. I approved the charges and he also said they could do the smog test and certification too. Great! I don't have to take it to another place to see if it passes, Crescent Auto will do it all! Got the Jeep back, Jeff explained everything and gave us the detailed invoice with the smog certificate and off we went.
