Absolutely incompetent and dishonest people. I paid $114 for an oil change on my 2018 Toyota Corolla and shortly after, my car was smoking on the side of the road. Store manager Melvin denied any accountability and told us not to call anyone while on the side of the road, and also initially refused to tow the car. We learned at the dealership that the oil leaked out and the engine had to be completely replaced. The car also needed a new starter, new spark plugs, and an AC flush. Melvin stopped answering our calls after the car was towed and we had to go to the manager above him, Dominic. Dominic promised us that the damages would be covered by jiffy lube, as well as our rental car, as it took a month for my car to be repaired. Yesterday, I received a call that despite being told it would be covered, jiffy lube is refusing to pay for the rental car and I am being asked to pay $1300 for it. I have also not been refunded for my initial oil change. (More like oil removal) Do not take your car here unless you want to pay $1400 for your oil change and to fight the employees tooth and nail for compensation. --update: they conceded that they will pay for the rental car. However despite going into the dealership themselves, they said they cannot pay the bill themselves. They said they need to send the money to my bank account and I would pay the bill myself. They claimed they sent me the money, but it still has not shown up in my account within the time frame they gave me. Very disappointed with the hassle they are putting me through, I constantly have to reach back out to get any kind of update. If you screw up a customer's car, you should make it as easy as possible for them to resolve the issued. ------update: it has been 2 weeks since I picked up the car and I still haven't received the money. I had to put the entire Toyota bill for $8k on my credit card because they were calling daily and I was at risk of being sent to collections. I contacted Dominic and basically was told "oopsies, we forgot to approve it". This company could care less about resolving problems, the only time I get updates is when I call myself. read more

I had my oil changed end of Oct. Took my car to Honda due to other issues and the oil was leaking. Honda stated the last people to change the oil did not replace the crush washer which resulted in me having to spend another $55 for an oil change on top of the $99 Jiffy Lube charged me. I went back to the location and they blamed it on my car being old!! Yes I realize that but if they had done the job properly they should have know the crush washer was bad and should have replaced it. I want a refund but they said all they could offer was a free oil change. Why would I return to them?? NEVER read more

Oil change that resulted in no oil... Went to get a routine oil change and a couple of weeks later my check engine light came on. AAA checked into it and it turns out, my oil wasn't completely emptied AND no oil was added. AAA had to add 4 quarts of new oil. Not only was this horribly mishandled but almost cost my wife and I thousands of dollars on a new car/engine that we don't have. read more

I got my state inspection in this place. They charged $30. I found out that since I am in Chatham county and it doesn't require emission testing, just inspection. I didn't see them hook anything up for the emission test so I think they knew that. I called and talked to Steven who stated that he is the manager. I asked for a refund for the emission. He is saying that I have to bring the paperwork to his place so he can see what is going on. He can easily pull up all the info on his system but he wants me to drive over there again for their mistake! Yeah, I won't be going to this place again for anything. ****** Update ***** Called Citi credit card and disputed the charge and they gave me credit on the spot! Yeah, I guess even Citi knows that this Jiffy Lube tries to scam people and try to make your work to get your money back. I say scam because Steven could have done little work and I would have walked away happy but the way he sounded on the phone, he was trying to make it hard so that I would just give up. VERY POOR service by Steven who supposed to be a manager.......Please note that the technician who did the inspection did it quickly and efficiently but the person who came and checked me out was a different person. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I went in for a oil change before my road trip and came out with my under the hood shield completely destroyed. Within a day, the shield partly came off on my drive and started dragging across the road on a highway. I had to pull over to a body shop and they said it needed to be completely replaced. Jiffy lube already made me pay for an overpriced oil change and on top of that, I now I had to pay 100 dollars to replace a shield that was in perfectly good condition before Jiffy decided to mess it up. read more

Not worth the convenience! This place is shady. First off, they offered me "premium oil" if I was paying cash, which likely means they would pocket the money and put regular oil in my car, so I didn't accept. Then about a week after I got my oil changed I took my car to my mechanic for an unrelated issue, but they checked my oil and said it was 3.5 quarts low. Three and a half quarts! I asked if there was a leak and they said there was no sign of a leak. He then asked me if I had gone to Jiffy Lube, and I was embarrassed to admit I had. I'll never go back. I stopped here while on vacation to see what was causing a oil leak. They checked and found that where I had the oil changed at a dealer that they forgot to put the gasket back on. Be very careful when having your car inspected at this Jiffy Lube. They tried to tell me that I needed a new PCV valve before I could pass inspection. Instead, I called my mechanics at Tao Auto and they asked to speak with the inspector. I ended up taking my car over to Tao for them to check it and the PCV valve was perfectly fine. Tao Auto has been my trustworthy auto mechanic for 10 years now. So, Jiffy Lube really tried to have me over a barrel here. Either pay them for the unnecessary part to finish my inspection, or go somewhere else to have it done and pay the full $30 there, costing me twice. When I returned to this Jiffy Lube with my Tao Auto mechanics inspection of the PCV valve as "passing," the Jiffy Lube Manager decided to pass the inspection for my car without a new valve, as they should have the first time. Just beware. I learned that these valves should last the life of the car, and that is a good $10-12 dollar money maker for them as the part costs them only around $2. I went in with the Groupon. It was a good value, but the costumer service was very poor. The Groupon deal was good, the business was not. The deal was an oil change, outside windows washed, Rainex on the front window, floors vacuumed, and the basic inspection. The carpets were pathetically vacuumed and only the front window was washed. It did get the Rainex- I think. If you can get just an oil change for cheaper- do it! The extras were not worth it and I was so sick of being there that I didn't even want to argue. They were quick- but that's not impressive if your aren't doing the work. Maybe I will try a different Jiffy Lube next time. read more

Guys working were great! I drive a ton and was in desperate need of an oil change. I showed up about an hour before closing with a few cars in front of me. He estimated a 45 minute wait, but made time to get me in and out in 23 minutes! That's excellent! He checked the fluids in my car, and gave me information about it that I didn't get at the terrible Jiffy Lube (at 6713A Market St Wilmington, NC 28405) and topped my oil - free of charge, before I made my 5 hour trip back home to Maryland.
