Recently, my car was stolen, and the adjuster asked me to determine my most recent auto services, and I determined that it was this establishment. I simply needed to establish car mileage. A Spanish-speaking gentleman who stated he was the manager said no records were kept, which I thought strange, given that his business was a state inspection facility. I asked to speak to someone else, and he said no. Acted paranoid and wanted to get off the phone quickly. I had always liked the service given before that phone exchange. I had my car inspected here in 12/2024 and had an EXCELLENT experience. Definitely going back there for ALL my state inspections.

2nd year getting an inspection here. It takes less than 20 minutes. There wasn't a wait time for my inspection. They got my car in immediately after I gave them my key. What time I spent in the waiting area I felt it was clean, comfortable, and presentable. As far as value, for a typical inspection, the time spent here was better than most bigger establishments I've visited such as the dealership or other service stations. On February 29 I got an Oil Change and Inspection done on my car. Apparently my car has been leaking oil since then, and it did not trigger the oil sensor to go off for whatever reason. My car stopped running on Monday. On Tuesday I had another mechanic come to my home and look at my car, and they stated that whoever did my last oil change was negligent, and the Oil Canister had been over torqued and damaged, which created the oil leak. Metal had gotten into the oil due to this. This has resulted in my car no longer working, and I will now be needing to purchase a new car. I have never had an issue with an oil leak until taking it to this shop, which compromised the car. I notice a review below that stated an old white man also worked on his car and made errors. read more

I called ahead of time to see about an N.C. state inspection. Person that answered the phone said there was no wait but that could change by the time I arrive. I arrived within 5 minutes of my initial call. Talked to the front desk person and asked if there was a wait. He stated no wait you are the first person in line. All we need is your registration and keys should take about 10 minutes. I told him, I have my registration in the car I'll be right back. There was a person behind me asking for the same thing. I quickly got my registration and started walking back to the building when the inspector pulled in the person behind me and started their inspection first. After he exited the other persons vehicle and started keying in their info for the state inspection I walked up to him and said, I guess I'm not next in line anymore. His response was, I'm trying to be efficient. I told him since you can't honor your word, I don't feel like I can get my inspection done here. read more

"Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." This proves true once again. So even after they forgot the dipstick in 2011... In 2013 I went by to have my Jeep inspected due to convenient location & drop by service. While getting the inspection I went ahead & got an oil change. Well, I did check the dipstick, but not the oil filter :( The oil filter was not put on right due to misalignment when tightening. As a result, oil leaked out until no oil & oil light came on. Thank God we stopped immediately & was able to save the engine. This could have been disastrous. If you go here, please do yourself a favor & check behind them. I did go by & spoke with Turk, the store manager. He offered me a free oil change after some discussion & also said he would be happy to fix the mistake(s). He mentioned that they service 20-30 cars a day & at that rate will have some mistakes. I agree no one is perfect. Hopefully they will double check connections a bit better. read more

I came in for an inspection on a weekend, wanted fast, easy service and fast, easy service is what I got. It was located in a convenient location, the gentlemen who greeted me were kind and courteous, and ladies let me tell you they actually had GOOD magazines! I was shocked at the selection actually. They had a clean small waiting area and a bench or two outside for seating. Make this your go to place for those pesky annually mandated NC State pocket-picking Inspections. Can't say enough good things about this place. The main person is Turk. Wonderful guy and great mechanic. Always gives fair pricing, repeatdly for various auto repairs I have needed over the years. He will always try to save you money and offer suggestions, like getting the part and he will install it to cut down on cost. He is very knowledge, great sense of humor and wont steer you wrong or try to charge you more. I highly recommend him and have so to my friends and family who also go there for auto repairs and various things. :o) read more

If the old white man is working, go somewhere else. He has a nasty attitude and he's a liar. I've been going to this place for years but after enough incidents I'll never go back. I always get my oil changed and tires rotated together. I licked my finger and put a line on the driver side front tire. After I got my truck back the line was still on the front driver tire. He didn't rotate them but charged me for it. Next time I go I tell him I want oil change and tire rotation. He tells me the machine is broken. I go back a few months later and a guy who I believe owns the place tells me the lift was never broken or else they wouldn't have been able to change my oil. I go back a final time and the old man is there again and he tells me they are too big. This guy is lazy and he's a liar. I'll never bring my truck back to this place. This company refused to service me when I arrived for a state inspection. The guy tried to tell me that they were done for the day and "closed". Their business hours stated that they were open until 5:00pm. I arrived at 4:20pm for a state inspection only. Please note that I am a black female, so I can only assume that this was due to racism. I will be pursuing legal action. Please stay away from this establishment. read more

I went to get my car inspected today, and I failed because apparently, my tint was too dark. However, I got my car inspected last year with no problems. I was very frustrated because the owner was very nasty to me and treated me like I purposefully didn't tell him about my tint. So, I went down the road to another inspection station and passed. I came back to Express Inspection & Lube with a tint tester the 2nd inspection place let me borrow just to prove my point to Express Inspection & Lube, but again, they told me I was wrong. The old, bald guy I talked to kept telling me that "even police have to get their cars inspected" and other totally irrelevant things like he has some type of mental disability. DO NOT go to this place to get your car inspected. The old guy told me they make $20 off of each inspection, regardless of if you pass or not, so don't waste your money. read more
