I went to the Jiffy Lube on 12621 Research, Austin 78759. Lewis and his team treat me with respect and kindness. I needed my oil changed and they talked to me about my different options. They also showed me my dirty filters and the reason that my inside filter was making noise. All of the options were discussed with me and I made the decision to go forward. All along they told me the prices and when given the final total, there was no sticker shock. They also reset my warnings. Went on a Saturday around 9 am and there was no wait for a state inspection! Finished in less than 15 minutes and the service was friendly!

Everybody here was so nice and the service was quick! They added coolant to my engine and put air in my tires. Skip was amazing and made sure I was in and out. Will definitely come back to these guys if I have any other issues. read more

kind young guy serviced my car but as he was checking me out, the older gentleman jeff i believe (joe?) was caught peeking at my belongings, making judgements stares. don't know if he was looking for cash or was just being a jerk. gave his coworker a look after viewing my car. no work was being done - the oil change service was already complete. guess he thought i was distracted paying. spent a few minutes standing in my car doorway just looking inside, doing nothing, not looking at my car info, just looking at my console, belongings and cup holders etc asked his coworker what he was doing. he tried covering for him before going outside to tell him i was watching. sketchy. don't come here as a young woman alone. they will assume you're naive. I pulled in for an oil change after my oil change light went off. I had tried to go to a place that was highly rated other shop who 1) wouldn't have been able to turn off the warning and 2) didn't build confidence in saying "we might be able to change your oil on your A4". So back to jiffy lube which serviced the car in another state. They got it done in 20 minutes and all the gentlemen working there were so polite! I'll be back for my next oil change. read more

A previous location in West lake said they didn't have my filter in stock but they actually couldn't remove the screw to access the filter because it was on so tight. This Lamar location saved me and spent so much time trying to access it and finally got it off... I'm sure other locations would have just told me they can't help me and sent me along as well. This was my first time going to Jiffy Lube for a simple oil change, but they didn't put the engine cover correctly back on my car. The cover fell off while I was driving on the highway. When I called them about it, they were willing to help, but their solution was to put zip ties on it. When I went in again to ask them to properly fix or replace the part on my car, the manager Adam tried to blame me for it. I've since tried to reach out to district manager Luis Martinez to work out a solution, but have been ignored for over a week. Please be cautious when making a decision to come here so this doesn't happen to you! Update: they commented and responded quickly. Quick service, no wait, friendly staff. Had the option to wait in the car during the whole service so I took it. Maximum time spent was 40 minutes, got an oil change and tire rotation. I was told the price of the oil change but not the tire rotation but I also didn't ask. I had a 15% off coupon but he honored $15 off instead, the 15% was the better deal and he really didn't explain why he couldn't honor it. read more

Joe is BEYOND unhelpful and EXTREMELY incompetent. I pleaded several times for nearly 5 minutes that I did not feel comfortable driving through the garage. Joe responded, "alright, bye!" As I badly needed an oil change before leaving town, I attempted to maneuver the car in but the 3 jiffy lube attendants kept telling me to turn the wheel the wrong way. Being in an anxious state due to my Aspergers condition I once more pleaded for someone to drive the car through instead of doing it myself, considering they had done it for others. In fact, every jiffy lube I've been to has driven the car through. Finally, someone agreed to drive the car. Unfortunately, Instead of telling me to put my car in park and do something he is used to doing everyday, what you see in the photos happened. After this happened, Ray, the guy who told me to get out of the car so he could drive it told me that he had called a tow truck, it would be there in an hour, and Joey 'the manager' would pay for it. WELL, after an hour+, Joey showed up instead (no tow truck) and he called the police on me as well (although I did nothing except express my frustration). Joey entered the Jiffy lube waiting area as he was a detective and said, "Chris! How can I help you today? What's the problem? Seriously?" (Meaning) This was all your fault and jiffy lube is taking no responsibility. Long story short, he threatened to close the garage with my car in it if I didn't call a tow truck and pay for it myself. The police said it was a civil matter and out of there hands (Meaning) We can't, won't, and don't care to help you. I ended up waiting another hour and a half for a tow truck since jiffy lube lied and said one was already on the way. It's one thing to have this happen to you. But then wait an hour+ for no reason, then have the police called on you for no reason, then have to wait another 1.5 hours for a tow truck, then have to pay out of pocket!!! So yeah, I explained I wasn't comfortable moving the car into a garage with a large opening underneath several times (I am not used to that), what you see in the photos is what happened to my car, then I have to pay for a tow truck out of pocket. And did I forget to mention I have damage to my car now? All of this and I still didn't get an oil change. Laughable. Stay away from this jiffy lube and the jiffy lube name. Dirty, poison, rotten, filthy, rats and any other negative name/description you can think of. read more

Amazing service! I went on a Monday morning at 9 AM and I was out within 30 minutes that's even including the time it took to wait for another car to finish up before me. As a person who knows nothing about cars they were very helpful, but did not push any extra services or high dollar oil on me, they even taught me how to reset the oil sensor in my car. Ripoff! After years of going here and getting good service, they've clearly changed. They have jacked up their prices dramatically, charging $120 for a synthetic oil change. They used to have personnel who would come out to your car and greet you upon arrival, and inquire about what service you need. They still have the air hose "ringer" on the asphalt, but it's a ruse. You run over it, assuming it summons someone, but no. You wait, wait, wait .... and then have to go inside and stir them off their lounge chairs. And their prices have gone through the roof. This place is great. They are always very kind and have me out in a jiffy quite literally. It is a little on the expensive side, but the Convenience is worth the extra cost to me. My only issue is that they try to hit you with all the extra stuff you can do to your vehicle every chance they get. You just have to know to say no.
