Pretty incredible tacos! I got two chicken and one pork with all the fixins and it was amazing. A bit messy due to the sauce, but great nonetheless. Additionally, the service was incredible. Everyone was incredibly friendly and dry helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and a friendly vibe!

This seems like one of those stands where you have to order right to enjoy it. I definitely ordered right with the rajas filled tamale with the works (salsa verde, crema, & avocado on top). I think the toppings should come included at least with the vegetarian tamales, it was delicious but undeniably overpriced so it loses a star.

I hadn't heard of this place until I was visiting Urbanspace Garment District, but their vibrant colors and drink menu was too good to pass up. Pictured is the peachy keen margarita which has a strong kick of alcohol (so it's not meant for a casual happy hour) but the fresh peaches were a great touch. I was also able to try the lychee/dragonfruit margarita and that was a truly unique drink that I had only ever experienced in the caribbean islands. They're a little bit on the pricier side but the flavors and presentation of the drinks are worth it.

So let me tell you how to pronounce it if this is new to you "hia - ka - ma"...it was quite embarrassing as I got up to place an order of their jicama tacos saying "gia-ca-ma"...lol It comes in three - either beef, chicken, or veggies. We ordered pork with added avocado for $1 extra. Very colorful stand and nice friendly service. Touts gluten free as they use this type of radish-like vegetable in lieu of tortillas. Their beef was a little bit dry but spritzing some lime on it and having the avocado made it better. Loved the slice of mango as it gave it a touch of sweetness and summer feel. Yummy! We came back again to try their chicken - and OMG, so good! They actually use chicken sausage so it gives the right amount of juiciness and flavor. Hit spot on! Total of $10.75...a bit pricey but actually tastes better than other tacos we tried at Broadway Bites, so I'd say it was worth it. Messy Scale - 1/5 (5 being really messy) for spritzing lime on it but otherwise, easy to eat and doesn't fall apart Chicken Jicama Taco 5/5 Beef Jicama Taco 3/5

Donuts aren't just for breakfast anymore! Check out this salty & sweet pork doughnut slider from Jicama. Jicama "California Street Food" is part of Urbanspace NYC, a pop-up vendor collection located in the Garment District. The slider consists of pulled pork, arugula, roasted beets, and red cabbage sauerkraut sandwiched between two maple doughnuts. Such a great take on sweet and savory...yummy also!

This is one of the food stands at Urbanspace Broadway, and I was attracted purely by the smell of taco and hence decided to give a try. Unfortunately they were running out of veggie taco so had to settle down with chicken one. They provided deals when purchasing multiple, so very good for share among friends. Also can add the avocado topping with extra half a dollar. Everything was perfect except for the bread, which was dry and flavorless. Probably these days I have been eating around so really got the opportunity to compare bread from different places. At least it was a good try.

I went the stand at Madison Square Garden Mad Eats. The taco and the tamale were both awesome - very tasty. My friend had the pork donut thing which she was disappointed by and didn't finish - nice idea but just didn't quite work. Stick with the other stuff though and you'll be happy!

    Yes, this was it....

The food overall may be good. I ordered the pepper and cheese tamale. Very little filling and somewhat bland. The big issue was the tiny portion for the price--almost $10. Was really shocked when I opened the bag.

Went to the Penn Plates Jicama. Best chicken tacos I've ever had! Perfect summer dish. Perfect size. I ordered three and was so full.

Hainan Jones - Classic Chicken Rice Set (~$17): half poached & half roasted chicken

The chicken was very tender, well prepared, and so were the veggies. I think it has stiff competition by way of Lou Yau Kee but is definitely up there as top 5 southeast chicken rices in the city! I would def come back here and what's great is that you can feel healthy bc it's steamed/poached chicken, rice and veggies :) It's inside Urban Hawker, so you can get a variety of other things to go with your meal - might I recommend Kopi (malaysian coffee) at the nearby stand? The flavors were bold, authentic, and the chicken skin was silky smooth. The cucumbers had a nice crunch and the veggies as well. They give you two sauces, one of them is spicy and might be hotter than you expect so try it first.

The vendors represent essential cuisines like Malay, Peranakan, Chinese, Indian, Southeast Asian, and Asian-style Western favorites. The first time I went to Urban Hawker was in December 2022, so I was very happy to be back again. I went to Hainan Jones for the Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice. The menu offers two chicken rice sets: poached or roasted Hainanese Chicken Rice, Chicken Porridge, or a salad. Hainanese Chicken Rice is considered one of Singapore's most celebrated local dishes and is the star at Hainan Jones. I ordered the Signature Poached Chicken Rice Set ($19). The rice set is served with very fragrant chicken rice and broth accompanied by oyster vegetables with fried shallots, cucumbers, a chili sauce, and dark soy sauce. It didn't take very long for the order to be ready. The poached chicken was very smooth, tender, and tasty. I enjoyed the flavor of the chicken by itself and dipping it in the dark soy sauce. It was a good portion and very filling. My husband got the roasted chicken and he enjoyed it. There are plenty of tables for seating at Urban Hawker. After eating, I bought the tray to the trash area and there were staff taking the tray and cleaning tables. I'm looking forward to the next time I can visit Urban Hawker.

You're at a food court. With some luck you can snag a seat and chow down but office lunchers will probably just head back to their desk. Was told that the fish was super crispy so I got that with fried rice. Purposely asked questions in Canto to let them know I'm with the home team. Fried rice is made to order and it's actually decent. Food comes out piping hot. The fish is covered with a thick breading that reminds me of the frozen breaded tilapia from Trader Joe. It's a big serving (ended up with enough left over for a second meal) but you'll have to work thru that breading. On its own it has pretty much no flavor but it comes with a black pepper sauce that you'll need. The sauce is weirdly thick but along with the thick breading the fish will stay crispy.
