    Pulpo and Camerones jibaritos (gigantic)
    Connie H.

I've never had a jibaritos before. Never even heard of it. But I was introduced to this place by a friend and I. AM. HOOKED. I'll be back and I plan to bring friends here too. Apparently, according to help, Jibaritos are sandwiches originating from Chicago's puerto rico community. We ordered a jibaritos (pulpo y camarones - octopus and shrimp). The bread is a deep fried plantain, which at first didn't sound that appetizing to me, but it was perfect. Inside is mayo, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and lots of garlic. The garlic was very strong in this, which I loved. But beware (or maybe ask for less if you're not a garlic fan). The octopus was good, but it wasn't really necessary for me. But the shrimp was really good (way beyond what I expected it to be). Fresh, great texture, really tasty. I'm definitely going to be coming back to get another shrimp jibaritos next time (and try more). The sandwiches are HUGE by the way. We only ate this as a snack, so I can't say how much I'd normally be able to eat. But it was so good, that next time, I am going to order one for myself. Thank you Jibaritos y Mas. See you again soon!

It's been a long time since I've been to this location I used to go here in the 1990s it used to look like a hole in the wall now it looks more modern not necessarily bougie. Anyways I had a craving for bistek with arroz con grandules. I've been going to the one by Harlem and Belmont and I went yesterday but I was disappointed because despite that they close at 8:00 p.m. they couldn't have service at 7:30 to dining in I guess I was too late. Well today I went to this location cuz it was closer to after I left work and had a craving for bistek. It seems that the portions here are larger than the one in Harlem and Belmont. Ambience was more modern now and doesn't look like a hole in the wall service was decently friendly. My only thing despite that I like potato balls or rellenos de Papa. I was a little disappointed because it looked like it was too deep fried. It was black like it was burnt. It's still tasted good with the filling of beef it's just it was a little burnt thus the four out of five stars I will be coming back for the beef stew

As usual my favorite Puerto Rican place ever in the world! They never disappoint. Even my Puerto Rican friends can vouch for the great food here. My goal is to move closer to this place so I can eat here everyday :-)

Came here with a friend from out of town and wanted something different. This place was busy but we got seated almost immediately. They moved around some chairs and tables for us. We sat right near the door next to two other pairs of people, which felt cramped but I was glad we got seated right away. Our server didn't speak much English, but luckily I know Spanish which helped! I got the steak sandwich. I asked for no mayo, but there was still mayo on it. That said, the food was delicious and a large portion, especially for the price! Great, authentic food!

Wanted to try a jibarito while I'm here in Chicago and wow I'm very impressed! This surpassed my expectations. The plantains were cooked so well, had a nice crisp and flavor. The garlic on top was soooo good--I just wish that they put the garlic inside the sandwich so your hands wouldn't get so dirty. The beef and vegetables were great. No complaints at all and will for sure come back if I visit again!

my first ever jibarito!!!!! i did a ton of research to find the best place to go for this iconic puerto rican sandwich that originated in Chicago, and pretty much everyone recommended Jibaritos y Más, and it did NOT disappoint. i am now a jibarito convert and i fear i cannot go to any other place to try one now because the jibarito con lechon here was soo delicious. my friends got the jibarito con bistec and that was also delicious!! doubt you could go wrong with any of the options here. our servers were rlly nice & service was quick! i think it's great they have a separate building solely for take-out orders (and speaks to the demand!) because I assume it allows them to focus more diligently on the in-person experience. i would recommend jibaritos y mas to anyone who wants to try a jibarito for the first time because I had a wonderful experience here!

If you ever go to Chicago make sure you stop at Jibaritos Y Mas. This place is great! The Jibarito lived up to all the hype I saw online. It was so good. The steak was seasoned beautifully, the garlic seasoning added a nice touch to it. Plantains instead of bread, sign me up! Definitely check this place out. It is super casual and the staff was very friendly.

I was very excited to try Puerto Rican food for the first time. My boyfriend and I came for a late lunch and there was plenty of seating. The staff here is extremely friendly and welcoming! I ordered the Cubano Jibarito's and my boyfriend got the Lechón Jibarito's. You definitely get your bang for your buck as the portion sizes are big. If you didn't know a jibarito is a sandwich, but with fried plantains instead of bread. They were both really good and you can't go wrong with either. It just depends on what type of meat you want. Highly recommend you try this place out. Next door they also have a to go option!

Super unique and local place that serves a Chicago classic. Food was fantastic and staff seemed like experts. Really a celebration of Chicago culture.

Dare I say...better than the other popular Puerto Rican restaurant on Division...? Just maybe! Was feenin' for a jibarito and wanted to try a new place, so found this place on Yelp. Excellent wait service, authentic flavors, timely food preparation, an extensive (but comprehensive) menu, and it's BYOB! The steak jibarito was so big and filling, I could only eat half of it. I tried mofongo for the first time, and the beef stew with it was so seasoned, you could eat it by itself. Can't wait to visit again!

For the love of the almighty jibarito, I can't believe it took me so long to discover this jibarito wonderland. I also can't believe it took me so long to write this review, seeing as I visited Jibaritos y Mas late last summer. For years, I was a Papas Cache y Sabroso devotee and still love it. I later discovered Jibarito Stop in Pilsen, which I adore. And then, this place popped up on my jibarito search on a Sunday, when my other two places were closed. My daughter and I decided to hit up this place on an early Sunday evening to grab to-go dinners, but quickly found out there was a sit-down restaurant next door. Although the place was jam-packed and jumpin with a lot of families having Sunday dinner, we were quickly seated at the first available table. The runners immediately delivered water and table settings and shortly thereafter, our friendly server came over and took our orders. Typically I would get a jibarito, but this day I went with the Mofongo while my daughter ordered the steak jibarito and we both had the refreshing parchas (passionfruit punch). Our food was delivered promptly and we dug in. Yes, yes and more yes. Everything was so delicious and perfectly seasoned and the portions were healthy. We had food to take home and enjoy later. The best part of family-style restaurants is the amazing food, the large portions, affordable price tags and amazing service. These type of restaurants value their customers and go out of their way to provide great customer service. Who wouldn't want to return? This is how they stay in business for so long. Although Jibaritos y Más is far from home, I cherish the day we can go back!

We stumbled on Caribella since it was near spots we wanted to do our errands at. We were delighted by their customer service and delicious food. Items we got: Caribella Skillet: 8.5/10, the plantains were a great addition to the skillet and it was the first time we had it like that. The seasonings that were adding were flavorful. Caribella 2 eggs any style: 7/10 my eggs I requested over easy. It was a lot rarer than I wanted the whites at the bottom were still raw and runny. The house potatoes were amazing, perfect texture and crunch. I love that they had sour dough toast as an option. The sausage links were good pairings as well. Matcha latte (hot): 8/10 great once I asked for additional simple syrup (I personally like it sweeter) They offered us some salsa to pair with the food and their salsa is a great delight for both the skillet and the eggs. Their salsa packed good flavors without being overly spicy for us. We ended up getting their 8oz bottle for $6. The ambiance is good as well for a date spot if you're in town. They open at 8am and we got in around 8:05 so it was not too busy yet for a Sunday morning. I would for sure recommend trying their skillet since the plantains were really good!!
