A great little place that's perfect to duck into for a quick meal. The beef sandwhich is so flavorful, and sometimes they have hotsauce out that is so good with it. Great side options, the plantains were so good, both as maduros and the tostones. The cashier was a really friendly guy, and we chatted for a bit. Inspired by a NYTImes review of a Bronx restaurant that serves incredible pork, I did a Yelp search on "lechon" and came up with this 2-1/2-month-old restaurant. Thank you Yelp reviewers! A bit past noon, we walked into a nearly empty dining room. It was immediately filled by the warm hospitality of two women who greeted us like long-lost relatives. They sat us down, took us through the menu, made a couple of recommendations, then got to cooking. The food: piping hot, huge portions, very flavorful. My wife loved the Puerto Rican chicken stew; I had the same reaction to my roast pork sandwich. The only thing we finished were the empanadas--they were simply too good to leave any behind. Our gracious hosts treated us to a dessert of powdered chips and a homemade guava dipping sauce--fabulous! Service: attentive. Value: we took home as much food as we ate! read more

Absolute treat to dine here. The seasonings, portions, presentation and overall quality is excellent. We live far south but manage to come up as much as we can. The restaurant has a family feel which makes you feel very welcomed. Went there for dinner. Had lechon w:congri. It came with potato salad and two pieces of garlic bread. It was amazing! Lechon was super tender, flavorful, and not greasy. I also had an empanada de pollo which was also quite tasty. The restaurant is set up more for take out than it is for dine-in. Alberto and his wife are kind owners and good people: Oh yeah... My mom and I were in the neighborhood walking the dog and searching on google for a place to drink a coffee we found Deborincuba. We were not hungry since we ate before but were craving some coffee so we stopped here and decided to also add some empanadas as snacks. The restaurant wasn't busy so it didn't take long although they do have a sign saying to please be patient because everything its make at the moment so it might takes a little longer. My mom order a beef empanada and I ordered a Chicken one. When the snacks and coffee arrived I was actually in shock of how AMAZING this empanadas tasted. It had meat from the beginning to the end, no gap in between. Since they made this empanadas fresh, they were warm and it also comes with a mayoketchup sauce. Coffee was also very good, it was truly a real Cuban cafe con leche. We decided to placed an order of some pastry that reminds me a puerto rico desert call pastelillos de guayaba (Guava puff ) but this one were different, they were like a tortillas shapes, it call besitos tropical with a side of guava. When I am telling those things were AMAZING it was because they were amazing. We couldn't stop eating them, so addicting. The owner also came to talk with us for a bit, a very lovely lady, she is half cuban and half puertorican so she has the best of both world. In overall I give this place 10/10. Only subjection I would give its to maybe change the glass tint on front, you can't barely see inside so you are not sure if they were open or close until you actually push the door. Other than that highly recommended, next time we need to go back to order food since we didn't this time. read more

Had this place over the weekend. What a cute addition to Logan Square. I got the lechon weekend special that came with lechon, potato salad, and Puerto Rican rice. I also got maduros on the side. The lechon was delicious. Tender,'juicy, all the things you'd want in a pig you're about to devour. They even have a few peices of chicharrones which was a delicious suprise. I love the potato salad! Delicious and it seems to be more mayo based which is my favorite. The rice was seasoned well and had peices of pork in it (seemed to be more smoked or chorizo) The only eh part of my meal were the plantains. For some reason they were dry. Not sure if that was my fault for taking it home, but I was so disappointed to have a wonderful meal and then expecting something sweet and golden to be dry and flavorless. Given that everything else was wonderful, I'd guess it was just a off day. Can't wait to try them again! Everyone is super nice and the vibe inside is Lowkey but the feeling you get sitting down at your family table after your Mom (Or Dad) spent all day cooking. Def recommend! read more

We had the Lechón Plate, sándwich de lechón, sándwich de bistec, arroz blanco c/habichuelas rojas, maduros, yuca c/ajo, tostones and flan de coco. The stars were definitely the tostones, the lechón , the arroz blanco c/habichuelas rojas! Everything was seasoned to perfection! The music was an upbeat mix of salsa and merengue, old and new! The sweet man from the back came and greeted us as he took a seat to rest after helping in the kitchen. As he sat down a little girl curled up in his arms and it made the whole experience feel like home! Negatives were everything on the table including the menus the young person gave us to look at were sticky. We even checked the salt shaker from another table because ours was really yucky with hot sauce dripped all over it but it was the same.
