We quickly got seated and placed our order soon after. About 5 minutes til 8pm they locked started locking the doors and turned the "open" sign off. He stated they closed at 8. I included this in my review because, never once did we feel pressured to order quick because they were closing, or pressured to eat quick, and never once did they look annoyed. Gotta respect them for that. My wife ordered their Ropa vieja sandwich and she enjoyed it. I took a bite it wasn't my cup of tea. I ordered their media noche sandwich, and a side of arroz congri which rice with black beans and the rice turns black when cooked with the black beans. I'm a sucker for rice and the arroz congri was very delicious. I've had better in Miami, but these will do without having to travel 1400 miles! The Media Noche was on point. Very tasty and tasted similar to others I've tried. Media noche is the same as a Cuban sandwich except for the bread. It's a softer much sweeter bread that is used. Other than that, it's identical. The roast pork, Swiss cheese, ham and mustard. A simple sandwich executed perfectly. Overall a very satisfying meal and will be returning.

Really cute and excellent little place. I was working in…read morethe neighborhood, trying to find a lunch that be somewhat heart healthy. And on their menu, I saw something called the Rica bowl. Grilled strips of chicken and steak, an actual salad with what I think was Romain lettuce several slices of tomato and avocado and red onion, and some chunks of a light homemade cheese that kind of looks like feta, but was less salty and very creamy. It was a really really nice lunch. I also had a craving for some black beans had a side of that and was excellent. They have a house made creamy garlic sauce that I put on everything and some house made hot sauce that I used a little of. It was very good too. Ate all of the salad and avocado, but taking half of the meat home and half of the beans that I'll have with dinner. I'm glad I chose it. And I would go here again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Best of all, we get to try so many new delicious local bites! We now look forward to our Thursday dinners! A few weeks ago we had already ordered our dinner at a couple other booths, but while waiting for our meals to be prepared, we took another lap around to plan for our next week's meal haha. I was excited to see a Puerto Rican food truck! It had been so long since we've had Puerto Rican; I was counting the days until we came back lol. I placed my order for the Tripleta sandwich and we took our stroll while waiting for our meal. I asked for no potato stix on my sandwich; personal preference, but I definitely know a lot of people who would've enjoyed the added crunch! It was ready just as we returned about 8 minutes later. Each bite was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. The bread was divine and soft, the best pair to the symphony of meats and veggies. I will definitely be trying the plantains next time! Along with more of their menu; everything sounds so yummers! For the meat sandwich lovers; the tripleta does not disappoint!!
