I've been here a few times, and I've loved every bit of it! The food I created myself came out quick and there was a large variety. My whole family's tummies were satisfied at the end. 5/5. read more

Great food for a fair price. Over the last 3-4 years of coming here regularly, I have always had a positive experience. Parking is never a problem, there's always a table open (or a brief wait) and the foods always good. I recommend coming here and getting the lunch bowl. You don't have to dine in, it's also possible to take food to go! read more

I can't believe this was my first time here. I've passed this place a thousand times and never considered it as a dinner option. I was missing out. This place is awesome. Build your own stir fry. They pretty much give you control of your portion size. They have lots to choose from. Dinner portion also comes with unlimited soup and salad bar. Great local place read more

Hubby, kids and I showed up for an early-ish dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived around 4:55 and were seated right away. The whole process was a little confusing and it wasn't really explained to us well. However, we have been to Flattops and a few other places like this so we understood the process. The meats and veggies looked fresh... I was a little skeeved that they have you put your raw meats in the same bowl as the veggies. I would have preferred to have the meats in a separate bowl. The food was decent. Hubby enjoyed it as did our 8 year old son. Our 5 year old wasn't so impressed and wanted us to finish our meal so we could hop over to the "earring store". I thought it was okay. I am not sure I would hurry back. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 3, like I was planning, was because we had the sweetest waitress. She was pleasant without being overbearing. Definately worth the extra star! read more

Is NYE most restaurants surrounding us were closed, we drove to this area & found Jiang still open for business so we walk in at 8.40pm. Waitress great us in well manners &, said we can stay till 9.15pm (business hour till 9pm) and we are thankful for the additional 15 mins :) As this is our first experience here, foods we ordered are commonly have at home. Service, price & taste is good, environment is quiet (closing hour). The only thing I'll say not satisfied is their salad & soup.... I prefer to have thousandisland dressing but u can't find here. read more

Very disappointed in my visit today. Meat was very unusual color, and poor selection of spices: old bay, taco powder, chili flakes, and lemon seasoning. The salad bar was very plain as well, but kind of what you would expect. So I do the best I can with what I have, and it comes to my table not only burnt, but dry and had several wrong ingredients. I get sometimes you find a stray veggie here or there but this was an egg and mushrooms. I have a dislike for both, so it made it hard to enjoy. My server failed to check on me at all, so I got the check and made my way out sans box. Would not recommend if you're looking for a more advanced culinary experience with the Mongolian grills. read more

Very disappointing. We were under the impression it was an all you could eat Mongolian grill. The noodles were so greasy. And it wasn't worth the money. read more

Love Mongolian grills. This place has a great selection of meats and sauces. Staff is very helpful and will answer any and all questions

I love coming here for lunch during work days. For 9.99 you get a decent sized bowl where you can choose your different types of uncooked meats and veggies. Then you get a seperate plate where you can put your noodles. Also, you get to choose from their different sauces which I must say are all great. Once you have your bowl and plate ready, you take it to the cooks and they will cook it for you with all your sauces, meats, veggies and noodles. They do a damn good job with your mix and on top of that, you get to get a bowl of soup and get access to their salad bar. You definitely can't beat their prices. The service is always great too. The servers are always on top of our drinks or anything else we need. I highly recommend this place. Try the black peppercorn beef. That one is real good. You won't he disappointed coming here. read more

Food was good, service was good. Our waiter explained and walked us through getting our food prepared. You pick your protein, then your veggies, then you pick a sauce from the many available. Last step is to get another plate and add pasta noodle, rice noodles or rice. Drop your food off to be cooked then go to the salad bar and fix yourself a nice salad and get a bowl of soup. Nice meal for $9.99, if you are not full, after you finish your first round, you can then pay an additional $3.00 for the bottomless option. For those not familiar with the process of picking your protein, sauce etc... the staff is more than willing to help out. read more

Kids love stir fried noodles so we thought we would give this place a try. Food was not good and overpriced. I won't be back.

Horrible place!! TERRIBLE customer service. Do not come here. Drive an extra hour and go to BD Mongolian in Naperville. The food is much better and so is the customer service. If I could give it 0 stars I would. read more

ZERO INSTRUCTION FROM THE STAFF. It's not an all you can eat like it appears the moment you walk in. Not only that but it's near $12 a bowl and there's an extra $4 charge for vegetables making their way onto the noodle plate. A complete pass for me, glad I like the bowl I made. Would've loaded up on more noodles and meat and vegetables. Here I was trying to pace myself and I ultimately got screwed. read more

Came here for lunch and I was surprised on how empty it was. Decided to go with the make your own bowl. The selection for what you can put in it was great. I got the spicy chicken and shrimp which was delicious. I was excited to hear that the soup and salad bar were included in the price. The sweet and sour soup was really good. They only had one waitress so service was pretty slow. But all in all it was a good experience and will definitely come back again. read more

We have been coming here for a couple of years now. It is by far my most favorite restaurant in our area. The food is always fresh and the restaurant is always clean. It is always a good nutritious hot meal. My wife really loves the tea as well. And they always put a couple sticks of gum in with your bill. read more

This is essentially a buffet style restaurant where you grab the ingredients YOU would like cooked and have someone do so for you. They have a pretty good selection and the service is good. The trick is to grab as much meat and veggies as you can in the bowl they provide. FYI That is all the meat and veggies you can get before being charged more. I suggest using pea pods or something that's sturdy to make the bowl "larger". You then pick out rice or noodles to have with your dish along with a variety of sauces to be cooked in. I've been here multiple times and I do enjoy it. So long as you have a strategy in getting your meat and veggies it is worth far more than what they advertise. read more

Admittedly, I'm nostalgic for my intimate Mongolian from my old neighborhood, so this mass production feels cold. Oh, and dont you dare think about another bowl, we charge you, and if u have leftovers to take home (we didn't, we aren't new to this). Annoying! Pricing is competitive overall. Server was attentive. They have eggs, so that was a plus. Enjoyed being a mixologist for my sauce. There is much volume and bodies, both patrons and servers, so understand where the perception about cleanliness could become an issue. You don't watch them make your meal, they bring it to you. I swear they added noodles, and where did my rice go? And you can't really mess up your own creation, 5 stars for my meal. read more

I used to hit up the location in Vernon Hills, but I believe that location is no longer there and I am so happy there is one within 30 minutes of my house. Ok, the breakdown: 8.99 for lunch -- that includes all you can eat soup and salad bar and a bowl of stir fry 1.99 for Iced Green Tea -- how can you beat that? Most places are charging around $3 for fountain drinks. The soup and salad bar was just ok in my opinion. I was really looking forward to the typical Japanese Ginger Dressing, but alas they only had the standard, Italian, ranch, thousand island, and bleu cheese. They had two soups, hot and sour, and broccoli cheese. I got a little salad and some hot and sour soup. The soup was pretty good and yes, it definitely had a kick. Now for the grill. Our waitress explained the whole system to us and it was very easy to understand. We all opted for just one bowl of stir fry. You start off by picking your protein and veggies -- load them up! Then they have multiple sauces that you can try and that was a great option. To finish your stir fry you use the plates provided and to have noodles, rice, etc. Place your tray down with your number and they bring it to you. Our food was really, really good and we were all impressed that it was only $8.99. My friend was able to take home her leftovers for free because she did not get the all-you-can-eat option. I will be back, for sure. read more

Create your own meal and they cook it for you (on a giant hot surface)! First load up on meat and vegetables; second choose your sauce(s); and third choose if you want rice, thin noodles or thick noodles. Hand it all to the grill masters and they do they rest for you. Now visit the soup & salad bar. Dinner is done. Delicious and if it isn't spicy enough there is a giant bottle of sriracha chili sauce on each table! read more

This place has a great concept. Came here for dinner with a friend who had dined here several times before. Pick up your tray then you start loading up. You get a small bowl that you load up with your choices of protein; beef, chicken, imitation crab, shrimp, scallops, fish. Then move on to put your veggie choices on top of the meat. You will have to smash it down in the bowl ( Remember, I said the bowl was small ) in order to get as much of your choices in there. Then chose a wide variety of sauces. They have mini spoons so you can dip and taste test the sauce before you commit. Then they provide what looks like 4oz cups to put your sauce in, choose as many as you like. Then you get a small glass plate for your pan noodles, thin rice noodles or white rice. Load up the plate with all three if you choose. Then turn over your tray of goods to one of the master chefs who will stir fry your concoction while you wait. The server brings it to your table and voila! Now, if you want a second trip it will cost you another $3. AND if you are simply planning to take that second trip home, they hit you with another $4.99!! Really? I am already paying the extra $3 for the second trip and since I wanted it to-go they charge more, bummer! So next time I will make sure to load up on my one-trip! They also have 2 soup choices daily with a salad bar. Now, the salad bar was NOT very impressive by any means, but you shouldn't be there for that part anyways. Dinner obviously cost more than lunch, so next time I will return at lunch with the family. read more

Delicious food!!!How can you go wrong when you make your own creation. First you pick your protein ..I chose steak , scallops and shrimp. I then added veggies of mushrooms ,bamboo shoots , green onions , few onions for added flavor , an egg , waterchestnuts , bean sprouts , then you choose your sauce , I chose the teriyaki and a Lil Mongolian BBQ sauce. Last you chose rice , and two different types of noodles or all three if you like . Hand it to the grill chef and he cooks it . It's 11.99 for dinner and if you want unlimited it's $3 more . Salad and soup is an additional charge check their website. Very good service as well. This was our second time here and not our last. read more

WOOOOO!!! 1st time here! let me break it down for you.... .We were greeted by a super nice girl. I wish I knew her name. She was short and had brown hair and she was probably in her early 20's. great girl! .Where we were seated was right in the sun. I would really suggest they get better blinds to use on that side of the building. Every person seated over there complained about the sun being in their faces. .Our waitress was an older white haired woman who didn't bother to smile or even try to be friendly. She did however explain to us how to work the food bar.....I'm really hoping she was just having a bad day, because she seemed like she could be a nice person. I only tip well when someone works for it. .The food area was very clean but I was slightly concerned about cross contamination. I figured though, since everything was going to be cooked at high heat, that it should be fine, or why would they have it set up that way? The food area is quite small. I really don't think the salad bar needs to be there. they should re organize the area so it's not so small and crowded. .The men that cooked were very fast, and the food was brought out quickly. I noticed they have separate servers who bring out your food when its finished. I think that's a great idea so no ones food sits out long at the counter. . My meal was very good. I find that mixing peanut sauce with a soy or ginger sauce makes a really yummy combo. I used Chicken, lots of cilantro, been sprouts, green onion, cabbage, and I also added rice noodles at the end. I have one complaint about the food. I added eggs to my meal and the way they were cooked with my food was not appetizing. all they did was fry it and chop it in a few pieces. I thought they would fry it up with the food like they do in fried rice. So unless you like dry fried eggs....I would nix that from your meal. Oh, I also had the Hot and Sour soup and it was super yummy. The people that complain that its too spicy....why are you eating hot and SPICY soup if you cant take spice??? hahaha. ~~~~~All in all, yes I liked the food!!! I will for sure come back solely because of that. Aside from the sun in our eyes, the cranky waitress, small food area, and dry eggs its still a decent place that will eventually blossom into something even better.~~~~~ read more

I visited this place about a month ago with my family. We were seated right away, and while we were briefly explained the concept, we were still a little confused about the process because we never had been to a place like that. We just watched what others around us were doing. Food was great! Taste testing spoons at the sauce station, no extra charge for seafood, cooking quality was well done, etc. The hot & sour soup was amazing, and I was actually filling up before I started my entree! Why am I not rating this 4 or 5 stars? There was a blonde lady walking around with a clipboard yelling at employees around a corner adjacent to our table (I'm assuming she was a training manager or something.) So distracting, unprofessional, and uncomfortable! I felt embarrassed for the employees getting ripped a new one for the whole restaurant to hear. There's a time and place to train and discipline staff members, and it's not during business hours where customers can hear. I will happily return with family and/or friends again, but if I see that lady walking around with a clipboard and yelling at employees again, I'm going to have to yell at her! read more

As one can tell by my rating, I really enjoy Jiang's. I've now been there several times and feel confident in leaving a positive review. The soup and salad bar make for a nice start with my personal favorite being their hot and sour soup. The selection of meats, vegetables and then sauces are great. The option to have unlimited amounts of food is nice but not necessary. While I've never taken this option, I've also never left without a dogie bag. I'd have given them a five star review except for the rice, it's included in the dinner but I've had to ask about it every time I've been there. Not a big deal but I do feel that if it is supposed to be included I shouldn't have to remind them. read more

Food was good, service was very slow they were busier standing behind the counter talking and giggling then coming around and selling peoples drinks! Then to top it all off they made my sister pay for her 10-year-old daughter because she sat there and watched us eat! She did not want this kind of food but she was already fed and so we thought maybe she could eat something from the salad bar, but she did not want anything so she grabbed three peaches I kid you not when I say three canned peaches they were dry shriveled so she took a bite and she left them they made us pay a full price for that not acceptable and for that reason I will never come back! read more

Absolutely fantastic! When you eat here, you get food portioned out for days. Don't even bother with the bottomless bowl, you're getting an exceptional amount of food with the regular deal. As any other buffet place, sometimes the food is a lower quality, but that's dependent on how long it sits out, and I've only experienced that once in the several times I've eaten here. Excellent! read more

I hate to compare places and things but in this case I feel like it's needed to express just how this experience was. We came here for a birthday dinner. After a 40 min drive we arrived got a table and an explanation of how this place "worked". She explained that is was $15 a person cool great! We were given little cards that had numbers so they could bring it right to the table. Now here's the comparison there is a place called HuHot it's also about $15 a person and it's bottomless meaning that you can go up multiple times and try out different things. HuHot also has a little list of recipes for the sauces so you don't have to randomly guess if you don't want to. This place doesn't have that. We assumed it was kinda the same thing as the explanation we had at the beginning didn't say otherwise. Normally at HuHot we make smaller bowls to try a few things. At this place we were no different and made small bowls. When it got back to the table our cards were taken away and it was then explained that it's only 1 bowl. We were now stuck with little portions and we didn't even know if it was going to be something we liked. The person apologized AND THEN explained bottomless was an extra $5. This wouldn't have been a big deal if we knew this going into it so we could have prepared properly. My daughter didn't really even like hers but she was stuck with the small portion of something she didn't like because they didn't explain anything properly at the beginning. The price of this meal definitely wasn't worth it and all we got was a lousy sorry. I don't mind paying for meals and I'm not looking for a discount or refund for the dinner. I just don't think that this experience was very good and definitely wasn't worth it. read more

The food is fresh, the tastiness really depends on how well you select your food items. It can be really good or mediocre. The draw of this place is to allow you to select what you like. I visited Jiang's Mongolian Grill for the first time and had a good experience. I like the style in which they offer the food. You can either choose from a set menu or make your own stirfry. The ingredients appeared fresh and there was a decent selection of ingredients to add to make your own stirfry. The food came quickly and was still hot right off the grill. The staff was very nice and our server was great. Eris was very attentive and did a great job explaining everything and ensuring that we had everything we needed. The prices were great for the value that you get. Lots of food for about $10 if you choose to make your own stirfry. I would visit again in the future. And if you are getting your directions from Yelp, I wouldn't follow them. We had a hard time finding the place based off the the directions from Yelp. If you are craving for some nice stir fry and want it just the way you like then I think it doesn't get better than this. You pick the ingredients and they make it. Good fresh choices of meats, sea food, veggies and sauces. You also get salad and soup. I really enjoyed the quality of meats and the sauces. Don't go crazy picking everything up and make something you like - sweet or hot or tangy etc. Mix too much of everything and it won't taste as good. Decent price and a worthy option. I will be coming back. I recommend the Korean Garlic sauce, it was great. Gum sticks with the check was a nice touch after this. read more
