Lunch specials: general Tso with pork fried rice and egg roll, and chicken lo mein with pork fried rice and spring roll
Stavros A.

Loved this meal, came for a Saturday lunch and ordered two lunch specials which were the perfect portion. Everything we ate was delicious; the food came out very quick and very hot. The staff is really friendly and inviting. Service was great, overall. Really nice ambiance inside, the restaurant for a sit down lunch.

White rice

Me and my grandma have been wanting to come here for so long so we did I got the edamame which was nicely salted and general. Sal was chicken with broccoli and rice. General that was chicken had the perfect amount of sauce big flavor. Rice was very good. It was a nice little area will be coming back again.

Crab Rangoon, so delicious, big chunks of crab.

My daughter and I were out this way, so decided to stop in and, we're so glad that we did. The place is very clean and nice. All of the food we got was excellent. We got the crab ragoon, chicken lo mein, pork fried rice, and beef and broccoli. Pictures are posted as well. Our waitress was amazing and very helpful. Can't wait to go back

The restaurant was dingy for many years but now it's a little brighter and cleaner feeling inside, and the staff are more friendly. The prices are below average. 10 won tons are $3.50, an egg roll is $1.30, and all the lo mein, chop suey and fried rice are under $5/pint. The combo meals like General Tso's chicken, beef and snow peas, sweet and sour chicken, and chow mei fun are all around $7. Very large dishes, platters, seafood dishes (can't vouch for the seafood) and specialities run about $7 to $15. One of my favorite big dishes is the barbecue spare ribs, which costs about $10 and consists of approximately three hungry college student dinners. Here are my favorite things to get at Great Wall: - Chow mei fun - Lo mein - Egg rolls and won tons - Chicken/pork/beef and broccoli - Sweet and sour dishes Tonight I had won tons, and chop suey for the first time. Flavor was a little anemic. Could have used some hot sauce. The won tons were the bomb. Conclusion: Once you find some staple dishes you , Great Wall is a reliable and inexpensive Chinese place. We then had the thousand year old eggs, we are not Asian, and the staff were surprised we ordered them, they were FABULOUS, we have not had them since our previous favorite Chinese restaurant on Orange St. was sold a number of years ago. For the main course I ordered ants crawling on trees, which was phenomenal, noodles were cooked perfectly with a good amount of pork, and spices were perfect for the dish. The wait staff were attentive, and friendly, and the restaurant had several tables of customers who appeared to be enjoying their meals as well. We no longer live in CT, but when visiting this restaurant is always on our list.

I've been luxuriating in these leftovers since Sunday. We ordered a ton because it all sounded good in the reviews, and it lived up to them. Two kinds of tofu -- one with pork, one with peanuts. The spicy tofu with pork? Bottle that as a condiment. I might stop by every week just to keep it in my fridge. I liked the peanuts and the flavor in the cold tofu dish, though cold tofu itself might not be for me. The sautéed baby bok choy with shiitakes was perfection. And a pepper shrimp dish that should be ordered in person -- but it disappeared, and I found myself lingering over the delicious salad it nested in long after. Also got the beef noodles. Only the beef noodles had even a hint of soy sauce in them -- everything else was pure spice-driven flavor. We will be back - for delivery again and in person!!!!
