If I could give a zero I would, ordered from here and had take out....they showed up late and food was very cold. Called and was told they would comp the order which was fine. Then called today to order and was told no comp was available, owner was argumentative and was happy to reject my business. Ordered food for the family and my daughter and wife both got diarrhea from the orange chicken dinner. Daughter was so sick she missed work the next day. Went back to Great Wall in Clinton and asked for a refund on the orange chicken dinner. Was told their chicken was good and would not refund me any money. I told him that is bad customer service but he did not care. Stay away from this place and if I could give a zero I would. Going to call the CC company to remove this transaction let him fight for money. read more

My favorite take out place for Chinese. I order almost once a week. Always great food. Happy Family is a great dish with lots of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. They also good egg foo young. Egg rolls are on the small size but everything I've had here is great. read more

Absolutely disgusting.... Surprised this place is allowed to serve the public... Sesame chicken was inedible, small tough dark meat in a large piece of disgusting dough!! The BBQ pork was so tough and inedible and fatty it was not suitable for human consumption!! Extremely disturbing to me this place is still in business and people actually go here!! How badly can you screw up take-out Chinese food? Try this dive to find out. What an insult to Chinese cuisine. Gen Tsao's was little round balls of whatever they coat chicken with but without the chicken. Egg Foo Yung extremely salty. Cold sesame noodles tasted like they had been cooked days beforehand with a thickened, flourly peanut sauce. Unfresh, sad food for a clientele that the owner and chef obviously have no respect for. We ordered General Tso's Chicken tonight - what a disappointment! Most nuggets were very small and nothing more than the coating. I called the restaurant to let them know that the dish was not acceptable but, honestly, I don't think they cared one way or the other. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area. I am a native New Yorker who grew up a few blocks from Chinatown who may have been away too long but this is pretty decent dim sum. Could have more variety, but everything we've gotten has been delicious. Their steamed pork buns are amazing. I wish the har kow were the smaller ones, and I wish they'd crank the heat up in winter. read more

I would have driven by here if my friend who grew up in Clinton hadn't told me it was good. Great Wall offers decent Chinese food at reasonable prices. I always get the large chicken and broccoli with carrots and brown rice - which is very good and costs less than $10. It is big enough to share :) CAVEAT - there are about 5 Chinese restaurants around here named Great Wall so make sure the address is correct - it is in the Ocean State Job Lot Plaza. Also, watch where you're going as this lot has pot hole and drainage issues (in the winter it is dangerously icy). read more

Best Chinese restaurant in the area. Wonderful prices. I'm very picky when it comes to my food I tell them to hold certain things like onions & bean sprouts and lots of places don't listen & put it in but they listen. I like them to add fried egg to my fried rice if it's not already added & they do that which I'm not sure if it's normally in there or not. I always order chicken and shrimp lo mein combined together it's fabulous. Their food is not greasy & does reheat very well. I've watched them make the food while I waited & also ordered over the phone & picked it up & it's always been ready never had a mistake or anything errors. it. Of course like many fast food Chinese restaurants it's nothing to write home about as you're waiting there it's just a little hole in the wall but everyone is friendly & accommodating. Great portion size dare dinner combination dinner combination will last me 3 meals. The shrimp and broccoli is also phenomenal as well as their steamed & fried dumplings. Delicious egg rolls which are not greasy either I have a very sensitive stomach when it comes to Greece and did not have stomach pains from their food period I literally eat their food once a week if I can. My family And I have been patrons of this restaurant for a very long time about a decade and most recently have been extremely disappointed with not only the quality of their food but the constant tardiness of deliveries being over 45 minutes late and even going inside to pick up our food we have also had to wait a half an hour past when they said it would be ready. Most recently we had food delivered to her home after handing the delivery person money and taking my food inside my house they came back up to my front door from their car saying that I did not give them all the money he just kept saying that I didn't clearly not speaking very good English and myself having a hungry two-year-old waiting on food I wanted to resolve the situation as quickly as possible even though I was 100% positive I gave him the money and it wouldn't make sense for him to hand me the food and walk away and make it all the way to his car without counting the money first I assumed it must've been my mistake and dug into my wallet for another $10!! After thoroughly searching the inside of my house and my driveway all the way out to where his car is parked I did not find $10 so I am 100% positive that the driver scammed me because I was not going to tip him because they were over 45 minutes late and when I called the restaurant I got nothing but belligerent English that was barely able to understand and very rude attitude!! On top of them purposely over spicing my food after I told them that I didn't have a problem with it being spicy I like spicy I've had problem with them putting a TON of the inedible red pepper that they use for garnish that is supposed to be taken out of the dish before it served read more

Good take out fast service. We tried 4 different take out places in the area and I thought the food at the other places was really greasy. The wonton soup was the star. Just went here for the first time. The Hunan chicken I got was excellent. The portion was large and it had such a variety of vegetables with the chicken. I love that you can request brown rice. This is the best Chinese food I've had in the area. read more

Great Wall makes great take out chinese. I've taken out their food for years now and am always very happy with the taste (except for one time their hot and sour soup was not as excellent as usual). I use hot and sour soup to judge a chinese restaurant and I love their version. Consistently everything I order is tasty and enjoyable. For take out chinese at a very reasonable price I don't think you can do any better. read more

EXCELLENT, fast, reasonable little Chinese place off route one in Clinton. The atmosphere isn't anything pretty inside, but the food is great! No MSG used! The owners/employees are very pleasant. Take-out is ready in 10-15 mins tops! It's our favorite " go-to " place for take-out on nights that I am not up to cooking for the hubs and 2 teenage boys. The egg rolls are absolutely delicious... I've never had a bad meal here. Highly recommended!!! ENJOY!! Reasonably priced as well. Order off of the "combinations" part of the menu: a decent-sized portion of whatever you choose, plus an egg roll and white or fried rice. Add soup for only 75 cents more; And I must say their Hot & Sour soup is some of the best around. Only one place has better in Branford, but I'm writing this for Great Wall, not them. Anyway, try it. I think this place is now under new management. The food quality has taken a nosedive--the spareribs are chewy, the lo mein has no taste, and anything beef is half fat. Too bad! The new staff is friendly, though the food quality hardly makes up for it. Time to find a new Chinese place! read more
