In the mood for Chinese takeout tonight. Got a few new things we had never tried. One was the sweet and sour shrimp. Shrimp was big but it's misleading as most of it was made up of batter. I prefer the sweet and sour pork. read more

Solid Chinese. Take mostly. It's just a classic spot. Doesnt take too long to be ready. Staff is always nice and place always seems clean.

I recently moved to Connecticut from Virginia and was craving some Chinese food, I was told this place was good. I called in the order and picked it up, when we got home and started eating it was NOT Edible!!!!!! The general tso's spicy chicken was overcooked (I'm being nice!) The honey chicken was dripping grease and the oil they cooked it in was NOT fresh. They are under staffed and the quality of food is terrible! I feel really bad giving such a review but I truly believe that honesty is best when spending money and time especially with prices so high you want to be happy! I paid $30 for 2 meals that said that it came with fried rice and an egg roll????? Mine didn't???? Will not be going back read more

I ordered several items and nearly all of them were inedible. The crab rangoons, were dry and had the consistency of cardboard. The beef stick, sesame noodles, and barbecued pork ribs were extremely sweet...barely any salt to counterbalance the flavor. The pork eggroll was ok. The batter on the fried shrimp was way too thick. The chicken wings were ok, but leaning towards overcooked. Never ordering from here again. read more

I used to order Great Wall regularly but since Ownership changed hands they are just mediocre. And their white rice in unbeatable. The few times I've ordered it has been undercooked and crunchy. read more

The food is good for the price. Nothing special the prices have increased. wonton soup just OK and the ribs were very good.

Some pretty good Chinese takeout. I got the hunan beef lunch special and it came with fried rice and a soup. Good portions and taste for the price. This tasted as your typical Chinese place, slightly above average. You can't beat a $9 meal. Because of that price it's a no brainer to come here. 6.4/10 read more

12/13/25 order was completely wrong! : I ordered (C 10)combo roast pork egg foo young, egg roll, pork fried rice=$11.45 and a (54)Seafood lo mein=$12.25 Ended up with (13)Sesame noodle, (02a)2x spring roll (49)Shrimp lo mein, and (94)Pork Bro Garlic?!? @ $42.24! and didn't find out the mistake until at the Niantic parade! Bf had no idea what it SHOULD've cost, so didn't say anything until I pulled stuff out of the bag Wondering WTHeck!? OH! And a COLD brown gravy, yuck! (he didn't mind idea of shrimp lo mein but commented it was bland) I believe they were overwhelmed by the amount of ppl ordering?! Plus the gal on phone didn't seem to understand and hung up before my giving my name or her confirming order accuracy. read more

We ordered the following to go ... * Chicken Chow Mein * Beef w/ black bean sauce ... but we received something else: * Received some other chicken dish instead of Chicken Chow Mein. Also, the chicken didn't taste fresh. * Beef w/ black bean sauce was nothing but veggies with little beef. Not satisfied. read more

We always enjoyed the food, but recently it's kind of gone downhill. Not as good. I hope they turn things back around.

Delicious combo dinner and wonton soup. My dinner was ready when I arrived to pick it up. They are friendly and responsive whenever I order from them. read more

Terrible! They only had 5 stars in the past. They used canned shrimp size of my pinky finger nail. Egg rolls are so skinny that they almost empty. Beef noodles are almost nonexistent. First time in my life couldn't finish. Picture of left overs attached. read more

Great Wall Restaurant - Lo main. General tsaos. Egg roll. Don't judge. - Chinese Near Me - Niantic, Connecticut

Great spot for authentic Chinese. Sticky white rice and fresh crispy entrees. Portion are large, you definitely get value for what you pay! (Not expensive, typical Chinese entree pricing). I had the General Tso's chicken, it was great but had no spice to it at all other wise i would have gone with 4 stars. read more

Awesome food and it was delivered super quick to our beach house. Veggies are chopped a little larger but I like them like that. I believe they are partnered with grub hub and it was lightning fast. Would highly recommend read more

Ever since this place changed hands, it's been going downhill. Now, there is NOT a decent Chinese food place in the area. The food is not only mushy and bland, but also expensive. What a treat! I have been coming here for years, but after 5 back to back disappointments and tossed in the garbage dinners, I've given up. You've been warned read more

Food is always good. Service is prompt and friendly. We recently made this our "go to" for takeout Chinese food.

This was my first time ordering from here based on the Yelp reviews. I decided to order the combination moo goo gai pan which comes with pork friend rice & an egg roll. I also ordered a small chicken Lo Mein. I loved the chicken Lo Mein. They did a fantastic job preparing it. It had great flavor & contained fresh veggies & white meat chicken. It was cooked perfectly. It wasn't greasy either. The pork fried rice was fine but a bit dry & not overly flavorful although it was freshly prepared & had bits of bbq pork in it. It really could've used a bit of spice to make it more flavorful. The moo goo gai pan was very good. It had fresh veggies & white meat chicken but it really needed more garlic. Next time I will request extra garlic. All the dishes were piping hot. The portions were extremely generous. The staff was very nice, friendly, efficient & helpful. I will definitely be ordering from here again. There are plenty of other dishes that looked great on the menu. read more

Our go-to Chinese in town. The Singapore chow mei fun is a family favorite! I always order extra egg rolls, too!

Great place for Chinese take out in the Entire area always fresh and you don't need to worry a being overcharged like "Kings Garden" does down the road read more

Very solid place for takeout chiense standards. Lunch specials are around 8 bucks, very villing and come with soup or egg roll. The lady at the counter was friendly, thr food was ready on time. The general tso was crispy, fried rice was standard. The boneless spare ribs were pretty cook, I asked for well done, could of been done a tad more but overall very good. read more

Good reliable Chinese take out. This is no place to eat in. They do not have tables and seating. They do a very good takeout business they are always busy when I go to pick up my food. Last time I was there I got the chicken lo mein combination plate with fried rice and egg roll. And I thought there's no way I'm going to eat all this it's too much food. The chicken lo mein was delicious. Great strips of chicken nice sauce very tastyMuch better than the Chinese carry out over where I live so I'll drive to pick this up. Everyone needs a little Chinese takeout now and then and great wall is a great choice. read more

I highly recommend this restaurant or takeout restaurant. The food was very fresh. It's my new go to

Checked out this place because it had great reviews. There was no chicken or noddles in my chicken chow mein (how is that even possible?). My husband's pork was rock hard and they didn't put any silverware or napkins in our carry out order. Overall, an absolute terrible experience! Update: Both of us feel sick to our stomachs now read more

I may be spoiled but we ordered General Tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, teriyaki beef on stick, boneless spareribs, and hot and sour soup. When I say barely edible I mean it, the soup smelled and tasted like a wet boot. The egg rolls were the highlight. We had bones in the boneless spareribs, which like everything else lacked any flavor , the beef in stick was a whiter shade of pale, and hardly edible. Th sweet and sour chicken was like a wet sponge, soggy can't even describe it. I'm surprised at the amount of positive reviews on here. Won't be back ever. The people were nice though. read more

I am driving past another Chinese Takeout to give my business to this one. Not because they are that good, but because the other one treats their customers rudely. This place is not bad, just run of the mill. Always an effort to get combination plates to look like their menu. General Chao and sesame chicken are interchangeable. Asking for broccoli like on the menu seems to be a big deal. The egg roles are probably from frozen. The suck. I only come here in a pinch. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Food is pretty good. The counter service is extremely rude.

Best ribs and moo goo gai pan in the area by far. Very clean and friendly. Take out only.

Not really a sit-down restaurant but Great Wall has the best take-out Chinese food in the area and the staff is super-friendly.

I go to Great Wall every time I come home. The General Tso's chicken is great. Any of the lunch specials are a great value with fried rice and soup or egg roll. The Dragon meets Phoenix is a delicious house specialty. Definitely the best Chinese place in town. And everything is always ready quickly. read more
