I recently moved to Connecticut from Virginia and was craving some Chinese food, I was told this place was good. I called in the order and picked it up, when we got home and started eating it was NOT Edible!!!!!! The general tso's spicy chicken was overcooked (I'm being nice!) The honey chicken was dripping grease and the oil they cooked it in was NOT fresh. They are under staffed and the quality of food is terrible! I feel really bad giving such a review but I truly believe that honesty is best when spending money and time especially with prices so high you want to be happy! I ordered several items and nearly all of them were inedible. The crab rangoons, were dry and had the consistency of cardboard. The beef stick, sesame noodles, and barbecued pork ribs were extremely sweet...barely any salt to counterbalance the flavor. The pork eggroll was ok. The batter on the fried shrimp was way too thick. Some pretty good Chinese takeout. I got the hunan beef lunch special and it came with fried rice and a soup. Good portions and taste for the price. Terrible! They only had 5 stars in the past. They used canned shrimp size of my pinky finger nail. Egg rolls are so skinny that they almost empty. Beef noodles are almost nonexistent. First time in my life couldn't finish. Picture of left overs attached. read more

This was my first time ordering from here based on the Yelp reviews. I decided to order the combination moo goo gai pan which comes with pork friend rice & an egg roll. I also ordered a small chicken Lo Mein. I loved the chicken Lo Mein. They did a fantastic job preparing it. It had great flavor & contained fresh veggies & white meat chicken. It was cooked perfectly. It wasn't greasy either. The pork fried rice was fine but a bit dry & not overly flavorful although it was freshly prepared & had bits of bbq pork in it. It really could've used a bit of spice to make it more flavorful. The moo goo gai pan was very good. It had fresh veggies & white meat chicken but it really needed more garlic. Next time I will request extra garlic. All the dishes were piping hot. The portions were extremely generous. The staff was very nice, friendly, efficient & helpful. When I say barely edible I mean it, the soup smelled and tasted like a wet boot. The egg rolls were the highlight. We had bones in the boneless spareribs, which like everything else lacked any flavor , the beef in stick was a whiter shade of pale, and hardly edible. This place is not bad, just run of the mill. Always an effort to get combination plates to look like their menu. General Chao and sesame chicken are interchangeable.
