I donated my old collection of books and graphic novels to the high school, we hit all the movies, etc. Of course this makes us supporters of the geekery here in Matawan. So much so, I follow them across social media. Well at the start of March when the pandemic was starting to get noticed, I lost my job as a private company school bus driver because of school closures and my son became very sick, not covid related. Worryingly sick. We were at the ER three times, ended up with a specialist at Children's Hospital in New Brunswick, and finally a diagnosis with an autoimmune disease, something terrifying during a pandemic. It's been hard and scary, and now we're stuck inside like my son is the boy in the bubble, and I've talked about this on Twitter over the past month. Well the geekery reached out to me on Twitter. They noticed its been a hard time for us and how sick my son has been and asked if they could bring him an Easter basket to brighten his day. Less than 5 minutes later there was a package on my back doorstep. Thank you to the geekery for offering something fun and unexpected! It's good there's still kindness being shared during this frightening time. I hope when this is all over and we can start going out to the shops again, the geekery is still around filled with heroes both fictional and very real.

Interior is not large, but they use the available space well. Paradox has a wall of new pull books and many shortboxes of back issues. Above these shortboxes are a fair selection of toys and collectables. Behind the counter are Pop Vinyl's, variant comic covers, and wall books. They also sell some sports cards and collectable card games. Employee was helpful and knowledgeable. This is a good small shop that has just about everything you would want out of a local comic shop.

At no point should bolts randomly fling off your bike while you going down the Brooklyn bridge going 24mph. I'm a high school student and I had to pay for my bike with my own money. I've been working since 10th grade to help my mom because she is a single parent so for me the loss of about 5k including repairs leave me without transportation as I can not afford to repair it at this point. I've spent 3.7k on a bike, this isn't including the repairs i had to pay over the span of a year which amount to at least 1.4k+ after random bolts detaching and motor failing, and as soon as the warranty expired my bike had a random electrical issue where the bike wouldn't accelerate. From the owner Pete: OK, where are you going? (Direct email sent from owner) 1- Last Mile NYC replaces all of the electronics on your bike. The cost of the parts and labor is $2910.54 2- Send your bike back to Super73. They will do their own diagnosis, and determine the issues and fix the problems. Unfortunately your bike is not under warranty, the cost of packing up and freighting your bike to and from Super73 will be around $1200. Plus their diagnostic fee, parts and labor. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Although Staten Island is often referred to as the "Forgotten Borough", this comic book store is certainly not one to be forgotten, especially because of their great selection, and exceptionally helpful staff. From the second I walked in the store, the staff was right there to help and assist me with any questions I had, and provided me with the proper information. One of the employee's in particular, Dani, was especially helpful. This is a great example of an employer hiring someone who has a passion for what is being sold at the store. She not only helped me find what I was looking for, but she went above and beyond to assist me with with other questions I had regarding the comic book series, and was able to give me information off the top of her head, she didn't have to go to a reference book or ask a supervisor. This is what we need more of in the city, employee's like Dani who's passion and interest for the products being sold in the store translates into better customer service and an overall excellent experience in the store. I would recommend this comic book store for anyone who is a true fan or hobbyist, and is looking for a place to interact with staff that actually know what they are talking about, and share the same interest that you do for the products being sold there. read more

I profusely apologized once I realized my mistake, and still the employee told me around five times not to open even after I stepped away and apologized many times. But still I stood there and apologized for the display (a bunch of boxes). Then he gave me what I wanted (after I already basically did it myself) and then I went to the register. I then said "sorry I've been going here for years but I never got something out of the case before so I didn't know." And then another employee (who by the way was facing the case the whole time) said "It's behind glass for a reason", as if I'm in a museum. I apologized and left. The staff has been rude and entitled before but this has been my worst experience yet. Fun to walk around in, but it's hassle actually going here.
