The store has been in town for over a year now and I've frequented often. The fact that a store…read morewith this kind of character and charm has decided to stick it out speaks to the commitment Corinne (owner) and John (GM) have to offering this unique blend of vintage movies, sports, and collectibles to the community. And like any brick and mortar store, profit margins are tight. That said, in numerous business encounters, I've found pricing to be beyond fair and reasonable. But this is not eBay, Amazon or Walmart. They simply can't "meet or beat" any price when their inventory might be limited in a certain category and/or procured at a price point they can't simply ignore. I would hope a community that wants to see stores like this thrive would appreciate that it must be supported, not by blindly overpaying for product, but understanding that much of the store's stock of merchandise has come to it through many channels and being ok with modest premiums on some (by no means all) items over what you'll find on the internet (where there is no tangible relationship between the parties and the transactions are cold and detached--where the provenance of more esoteric items is questionable at best). Unfortunately, I've seen the store have to put up signs discouraging haggling and rummaging through product. This isn't an ancient Arabian bazaar where you have to haggle for every dollar and deal or you'll lose credibility. It's a business with dedicated individuals trying to offer a welcoming and unique space while pricing the best they can within their modest profit margin targets. And this is not a clubhouse or an extension of your den. Please try to treat the store, merchandise, and humans working here with respect and graciousness. I promise you'll get it in return. And because this is not your play room, but a store catering to the public (many of which come equipped with video security), do not have some misguided expectation that you can berate or criticize the store, its pricing or product and maintain your "privacy". Others in the community who shop here can see and hear you, you're not in your house. And everyone has cell phone cameras that capture any number of public interactions every second of the day. If common decency has no sway over how you carry yourself in public, at least understand that you can't simply carry on with impunity and expect to be cloaked in anonymity. In short, I encourage my fellow patrons to please not let scrounging for the next deal or the impulse to try and nickel and dime the store, because it is unique and accessible, create an atmosphere like so many other impersonal chain stores. Where the desperation to get a better deal, and not (ever) to feel like we've overpaid, turns us into the epitome of lowbrow consumer who doesn't even seem to enjoy the experience. If we think we deserve better, let's try to act our best when shopping at Perfectly Centered and elsewhere in town, and we might just end up being right.

We bought 5 packs of Pokémon Astral Radiance in late May 2022. There were zero good cards. With a 50% hit rate, going 0 for 5 is exceedingly rare. Ok fine. We got unlucky. But then we have a friend who bought 7 packs and nothing. And another friend who bought 10 packs (5 packs twice). Nothing nothing nothing. Now that is mathematically impossible. We go online and see that if you have a gram scale, you can weigh each Pokémon pack. The packs with good cards are 22.5-22.8 grams. The ones without are 22.1-22.4 grams. Impossible to tell the difference without a gram scale. I went to the store and explained. The owner, a 60-something Korean man - just says "no no. No no". I explain again and he says "sometimes Pokémon cards are fake". I asked if he was selling fake cards? "No no. No no". I know I am not the only one to complain about this. I gave the owner a chance to respond before posting this bad review. He denied everything and was dismissive. Check my prior reviews. I have never given such a bad review to anyone. Never. I will not be patronizing this store for anything anymore.

Within 5 minutes of walking into this store I was a raving fan for life…read more I needed a gift for my 6 year old nephew and came here because of the reviews. Even walking in with high expectations, I was blown away by the level of service. George, Kemesha's husband, was working the store on his own today. When I walked in and I asked for his help to select a gift, he apologized that his wife wasn't there. Then he called her. He put her on speaker phone and she guided me to an amazing gift. I could have looked at the shelf all day and not "seen" it. She wanted to give me another option too -- and I appreciated her integrity in that, but this first one was perfect! Next was gifts for my nieces and she directed me to a selection where literally everything was so perfect. And there were things there that I would buy for myself! When I mentioned I also needed a gift for another nephew, whose birthday is in a couple of weeks, she encouraged me to come back. She said that she could have recommended something in stock, but that she was getting more merchandise next week and didn't want to just sell me anything. This store isn't exactly around the corner from me; it was a detour to come here. Shopping online would be more convenient, in theory. But some things are more important than convenience. There is a level of care in how Kemesha and George run their store that cannot be replaced. Within 5 minutes Kemesha and George won me over as a raving fan client for life. This is a business run on integrity and caring, and I'm thrilled to give them my business. PS - I rarely take the time to write online reviews, so consider that for what it's worth to you.
