My friend wanted a Blogilates Women's Marshmallow Mockneck Sweatshirt in Light Pink and the only option was pickup inside the store. The only store that had it for pickup near me was the Target located in Mount Vernon, NY. After I submitted my order, I received an e-mail confirming that my order was processing. An hour later, I received an e-mail that my order is ready for in-store pickup at Mt Vernon and I had 3 days to go to the store to pick it up. It was a bit of a trek to get there from Queens, but not too bad since I left earlier in the day. Target is located on East Sandford Blvd and there is no problem finding parking as there are plenty of spots. Usually all Target locations have a very similar setup so it's not too unfamiliar. I went to Guest Services and showed the staff member my pickup barcode in order details and they brought my item to me. Since I was there, I of course had to look around. The aisles were very organized and stocked. The Target App is an easy way to shop and save. If there is a specific item you are looking for, the app will tell you the exact aisle and how many are in stock. It is also very helpful to let you know which items are available and the quantity at each store. read more

I already know this will not help either right away. Or in a timely fashion. But it will give warning to anyone choosing to use Door dash's service. So, I ordered groceries from Target on Door dash, I spent $201 that's including the tip. I never received my order. I did tip after checkout. I spoke with someone on the phone. The phone number is a 929 area code, it said door dash was recording and monitoring the call. They asked me about my substitutions to two items that were out of stock. I made my substitutions and the order completed. I then did my tip after checkout and it never arrived. But the money came out of my bank account. Then the order restarted without the money going back to my card or in door dash credits. Door dash then proceeded to cancel my order and decided to send me my refund to my payment method without me deciding to. Now I have to wait five to seven business days to receive my refund. While having $3 and some change in my bank account. No food in my fridge. So they then decided to give me $23 in door dash credits. You can't find anything worth $23 on door dash and now if I do find something now I still have to pay fees and tip which now leaves me negative in my bank account. So no, Door Dash did not help resolve my issue. But that's ok. I already know this. I just wanna make this public post so ppl know what Door dash does. Oh and the lady whom I spoke to on the phone just made herself a liability for door dash. And admitted on the phone that someone from door dash forged the decision to send money back to my original payment method instead of credits. The conversation was recorded from door dash themselves. I will also be putting this on YELP, which they love cases like this. It's about to be a field day over there!!! Oh and I will now be ordering from either Uber eats or grub hub from now on!! They never have any action figures but when collectors are advertising what they buy. From other target retailers that are out of state action figures are always available. And none of the local targets near me ever have any. I always have to pay scalpers prices. Which is three times more than what it's worth.. no customer should have to do that. read more

I purchased an Xbox series s from the electronics isle at the mount Vernon store. I went back 2 days later to return it & they are saying that the return cannot go through because it's saying "item not in sale." & either get original receipt even though I had the in app digital one, take store credit or call corporate which I did & got told I had to ship the system back to Microsoft & when speaking with a supervisor in corporate she said only the store can process the return even if it's a system issue. Now I'm stuck with something I purchased 2 days ago when the issue is on targets end & corporate cannot help. BE VERY CAREFUL when purchasing anything from this store. Ok, so this review is specifically for Lisa in the Customer Service department. My husband didn't realize that I was gone, and accidentally, remotely locked my toddler and me out of the car (with the keys in it). Lisa called and texted my husband, and was super patient with a frazzled, exhausted, confused cuckoo lady that chaotically flailed into her day. This lady is a class act and deserves a raise! Otherwise, we live close by and use this location all the time. It's pretty well-stocked, especially early in the day. The staff is always friendly and pleasant, which hasn't always been my experience at big box stores. The only thing that I can really complain about is the way that a lot of shoppers drive/park at this location - just watch your back :) read more

Store is always messy employees are always on phones and if you ask an associate for help they just say they don't have it without looking so I use the app and it shows in stock and I show them and I'm told The app is not accurate. My wife and I go here frequently to get grocery's that are not as fresh in our local supermarket. Prices are decent and they have a good inventory of things they sell. Only thing bad I would say would be the associates can be a bit standoffish if you ask a question. Almost as if they are being pressured more to put out inventory than to help customers. read more

There are good Targets and there are bad Targets......this is one of the bad ones. Geographically to me, this is the closest Target to me - but I often find myself driving to other locations or just getting select items online, rather than dealing with this store. Firstly, all Targets are generally the same, stocked the same, have the same items...etc. You can usually find what you want at this location as long as it's not certain toys. Like it's competitors' Walmart and K-Mart, Target offers decently priced items and if I shop here, it's because of price alone. This is where the niceties end. The staff is horrid. If they're not socializing with themselves, they're milking the job.....either way, the majority are unfriendly in a customer service store. As I've said in previous reviews, you get what you pay for I guess - but work ethic has gone way down since I last worked retail. The toy section looks like half the items are missing and dirty. I've taken my son here a few times, and what limited selection they do have, we always leave here empty-handed. The registers are those short ones, lined up 2 by 2 one in front of the other, which adds to confusion a lot of the times. Whoever thought of this cuing format needs to be terminated. The register belts are way too short to get your entire cart on to, so you need to keep putting your items on the belt almost the entire ringing process if you have a full cart. The employees are usually friendly......with each other and NOT the customer. I've been there plenty of times (unfortunately) without the cashier saying one word to me. Not even the empty 'thank you'. Again, it's poor work ethic and poor management to hire these sorry excuse for "employees". One of the worst things about this location is the parking lot (though it's not the store's fault). It's indoor and was a poor parking lot design. Between carts, people, idiot drivers and parkers, it's always a hassle coming in here......and Target is only located on the ground level (there's a TJMaxx, Petco, and Bed Bath & Beyond also located here). Again, not the store's fault, but definitely worsens the whole experience. If you want something for the Target price, by all means. Just expect the worst, because chances are, you're going to get it. read more

Im very disappointed with my experience at target. I went there to look for skin therapy oil. I know they sell it but I wasn't sure what isle it was in. I looked all through the skin care isles and couldn't find it. I saw a target representative and said "excuse me, i have a question...". Before i could even finish the word, she cut me off and rudely interrupting me saying she isnt on the clock yet. I was stunned and blacked out. I couldnt believe she refused to help me. Luckily she didn't have a name badge on. Here is my thing... 1. No need to be rude 2. You have on full target para so obviously you work there 3. If you not on the clock And refuse to help people who have a simple question, stay in the back 4. She was searching through a bin so it sure looked like she was on the clock 5. It was poor customer service. I dont know her name but she is african american with thick glasses and medium brown complexion no taller than 5'4. Though i doubt i will ever go in there again, if i see her again, ill make sure i get her name. Train your employees better. Stank attitudes get you nowhere. read more

Corporate really needs to pay more attention to how they staff this store, especially as new competitors pop up and consumers have options as to how/where they want to buy. Customer service is everything, and this store has none. When associates aren't playing music loudly on their phones during store hours, they're yapping with one another at unreasonable volumes. The customer service in checkout or pickup lines? Pitiful. Rolling their eyes or using their phones while they "help" you, shrugging when asked a question. You'd think they were doing this job for free - and yet, even then I'd expect better behavior. Wow - what a great Target so close to the city. They have free parking. They were pretty well-stocked, had everything we needed with respect to food and supplies. Their electronics section had the iPhone 5 charger we needed and they had lots of great sales and Christmas items. The complex that houses this Target also has a Bed, Bath and Beyond and a PetCo. I'll give them 3, only because the staff at the Riverdale location sucks worse and at least some of the staff here try to be helpful in a way. We've come here many times, usually just to pop in and make a quick purchase. Aside from the long lines, we never really had a bad experience. They started the express lanes which actually work well if you only have a few items. Since we were getting my son ready to head off to school, I had to make a few visits. I first made my orders online with in-store pickup. My first order fell through after I received an email stating that the Target closest to me (Riverdale), didn't have any of the items I needed. So, I changed all the pick-up locations to the Mt. Vernon loc. I used a $5 gift card for part of the purchase which came up to over $200. While we waited for the order to be ready for pick up, we shopped at a couple of other stores in my area for some more items. I finally got the text (actually, 4 consecutive texts and an email), confirming my items were ready to pick up. Subsequently, I received a phone call from one of the employees, telling me that they did not have all the items I was to pick up and that I would have to resubmit my order but she would hold the items they did have and I would have to go there to pick them up the next day. I was thoroughly irritated. When we returned home to resubmit the order, it would not take the gift card because well, obviously the system already used the card for the second order that told me they had all the items. I put through the order and brought the card with me to pick up the items so that they could just apply it to my purchase, in person. Ok....so I get to the store the next day and go straight to customer service to pick up and complete the purchase of my items. The girl at the counter is super nice and has someone bring the items and starts to ring me up. I told her what happened with the gift card and she said she would just take the physical card and apply the $5. Well, her coworker was not having ANY of that. OMG....the display this tall, lanky dude with a bird of paradise hairstyle on his head put on to flex in front of customers. He was speaking to her in such an unnecessarily nasty way. It was totally uncalled for. The funny thing is almost every time hubbs or I have gone to this particular Target, the same guy is always there, complaining about one of his coworkers, ALWAYS within ear shot of customers. Someone should tell him that if he has an issue with everyone, the problem might be him. Anyway, the exchange continued and he apparently called a supervisor over to handle the situation. You would think it would have gotten better...nope. The supervisor came and was equally nasty to the employee who was helping when she was trying to explain what happened. After a while the supervisor nastily said that she didn't want to hear anything form the girl but wouldn't let her leave the area, almost as a punishment. The supervisor kept bickering with her and was basically going to do exactly what the girl was going to do from jump, to rectify my situation...remember, this was for $5 The maturity level of these kids...smh. I finally had to chime in and let them both know that the employee was being helpful and the male coworker could have minded his business because he was completely unprofessional as was the exchange she was allowing to play out in front of me. I told the supervisor, I'm not sure why she is being so hard on the girl when all she did was try to help me and that I had no time for whatever nonsense they're trying to pull with such a display. I grabbed my bags and ran out of there. Bad move...with all the foolishness, they failed to bag up some of my items that I purchased. Do you think I was pissed? Yup. I had to come back to hell and deal with these unprofessional fools once again. This time, brought my receipt with all the items that were missing, checked off. The customer service employee call security who okayed me to go and grab the items I was missing. Why they still didn't have them in the bags is beyond me but, whatever. We basically shopped for the same stuff all over again. By the time we got back to customer service there had been a 'changing of the guard' whereas no one let the next employee know what was to be expected. Here I am, once again, explaining my situation to an entirely new person who has quite an attitude (surprise, surprise) and when they are looking for the security personnel, well, she left for the day. Great. I was done. I told them they better get a supervisor ASAP because I was having NONE of it. Finally some good came out of it and I was gifted a cpl gift cards which only means that I have to come back here to shop. Never ordering online to pick up, again. It's best to go in person and physically pick out your items and just wait on line like everyone else. read more

I don't come here often, but when I do, the item that I'm looking for is 3 out of 5 times in stock. This is based on the stock according to their website compared to what they actually have on the shelves. Self-checkout is my go-to because it's quicker. I've utilized their buy online and pick-up in store feature and was not thrilled. I had to wait almost ten minutes for them to get my order after receiving an email about 15 minutes prior that it was ready for pick up. Customer service of some of the front-end workers could be better since I feel they have more direct contact with consumers. read more

I visited the Pizza Hut in Target, Mt Vernon on 11/18 because I was starving. Thought I'd grab a quick snack, eat there, then shop. I had to walk through the tables to get to the counter & every single table was dirty, chairs were all over the place, the floor strewn with napkins. My idea of eating there is over & so was shopping then since the pizza was now to go! I was disgusted that any manager would allow an eating space to get that bad. Because I only saw cheese pizza's, I asked the pizza maker who was in full view, could he tell me how long for a pepperoni? He snapped back, 'that's all we have today'. When I got to the counter I asked the overwhelmed server/cashier to see the manager while I bought 2 pizzas. He nodded toward a women right in front of me opening boxes! I politely asked if there was anyone available to clean a few of the tables since all of them were dirty. She snapped to me, "you don't need a manager for that"! He'll do it nodding at the only cashier who nodded at her! I asked, "do you not see the line? He is too busy"! Ms manager raised her voice at me, repeating, "he'll get to it & you did not need a manager for that"! If you need assistance, or even just checking out, expect to get ignored or begrudgingly helped. There will be a lot of sighs and eye rolling. But hey, if your in the mood to shake your head and chuckle, security stops someone pretty frequently and said person makes a huge scene that's usually good for a laugh. Still, you get normal Target selection of items and location is good (right off of the Hutch), so it earns some points there. read more

This place is ok ehhh. A lot of their online prices do not reflect store prices. What annoyed me the most was leaving the store security was checking receipts. Fine. I don't have an issue with that. People were showing him theirs and they were walking out, no problem. Then we gave him our reciept and he diligently looked at it then kept looking into our cart then the reciept then under the cart, and the sides. Wtf?? A Target in Manhattan!? Yes, please. Walking in this place and you will think that you have been transported to American suburbia. This is a full Target, no smaller version for the city. Everyone knows what they offer--cheap deals, large selection, decent quality. I especially like their dorm/ small apartment products, very handy for NYC. That being said, it is a dirty cluster you-know-what. Perhaps it is connected to so many people wanting to get some good deals, which is obviously a rarity in the city. Doesn't matter though, still a giant pain just to look around this place. Yes, you can get some nice deals. But it almost isn't worth the madness. It is also a pain in the butt getting there, tucked in the back of a random neighborhood, with little access to subway and buses are still a few blocks away. Plus, if you buy a lot of things, transporting them back home is challenging. Here is a little tip, go to the top of the parking garage for a great view of the city. Seriously, a great place to watch the sunset. read more
