I ordered several furniture pieces via a subscription. After contacting customer service, I was told I would get a confirmation email with timing details for my delivery two days before the scheduled date. I never received an email, but the team did show up as scheduled. 4 or 5 guys arrived to set up four pieces of furniture. They were fairly speedy and everything was done in an hour or less. Unfortunately, one piece was assembled incorrectly and I had to contact customer service for a replacement. They have no customer service phone number and everything is handled via email, but they were very speedy with their responses, which was appreciated. I also requested to switch out my mattress and they accommodated my request for free within the three day grace period. Overall, it's been a good experience. read more

Seems like such a great idea -- and it is -- but customer service all but doesn't exist (3 weeks and counting to figure out how to fill out a Certificate of Insurance). They hide their phone number so you're stuck with whatever incompetent, indifferent person is on the other end of endless emails threads. And maybe it's be worth it -- you only have to deal with them on move in and move out, right? Erm...not so much. While their inventory looks pretty, anything that's made in-house is garbage. It's hit or miss, I gather from other reviews but the basic bed I rented practically disintegrates because the wood is like saw dust. Feather is a really good idea that seems like it'd making moving and furnishing your place easier when, in fact, it does the opposite. I would have been able to vacate my apartment were it not for Feather's repeated screw ups. 2 furniture cancellations later, I have nothing good to say about this disorganized, lost cause of a company. I get the temptation to rent from them -- the idea is good but this Feather's inventory management, customer service and logistical operation are so abysmal that I'm actually taking the time to write this and caution those temped by false appearances to look elsewhere. I rarely give reviews but I have a really bad feeling about this company since a recent change of ownership. I have been a customer renting furniture since 2021, and now that I have chosen to end my plan, their communication has become cagey, unresponsive, and unhelpful. Here are the TOP 10 issues you should be aware of as a potential customer: 1. Even after requesting a buy-out and having the unwanted furniture picked up, they continue to charge me a monthly fee. 2. The phone number listed on their communication is an answering machine. You cannot get through to a live person. 3. If you email the billing department you get an auto-generated response that states the following: "This email has been deactivated due to a recent change in ownership." 4. They disabled their website chat feature. 5. Company reviews have disappeared from their website. 6. Facebook and Instagram page activity has dwindled. You also see customers airing similar grievances in the comments section because they cannot get a hold of anyone. 7. After getting "some" communication from a general inbox inquiry response, they have not provided steps or instructions for me to take care of the buy-out balance and close this account. 8. My account still shows as "active" through Jan. 2024 with furniture that has been returned even though I requested a buy-out and furniture pick-up in Dec. 19, 2022. 9. If you email customer support you get an auto-generated response that someone will "get back to you in 5 to 7 business days." REALLY??? 10. I've left several voicemails and emails. No solution to my questions and/or issues as of yet. Please notice the cadence that these yelp reviews have gotten very negative since July of last year. Usually related to billing, furniture pick-up, and closing a membership. They were very positive up until that date. I assume it's related to internal issues and a change in ownership. Feather was great for the first two years when I decided to try them out in 2021. They were responsive, you had an account manager and you could get someone on the phone. Fast forward to 2023, and it's really gone downhill because their customer service is nonexistent. YOU LITERALLY CANNOT GET AHOLD OF ANYONE. My hunch is this company won't exist in the next year, something shady is going on... Protect yourself and your financial well-being. Don't do business with this company. Had a great experience with Feather my only complaints are that things are always going in and out of stock which can be frustrating and if you are in a walk up in NYC like we are they will not deliver anything with 6 drawers since there is no elevator. That said, they were prompt and super quick delivering our things, and we love our new furniture! Very cute and trendy items - now Feather you just need notifications when you get new things! In addition, they have been billing me for over a year for a furniture item that wasn't in stock and that I am not renting; I have been trying to resolve this since I realized I was being charged for it last October(!!!) and nothing. I'm happy with the furniture and this would be a great model except you can't return it nor can you stop them from charging you even when it's time to end your contract. I think overall the service was good! My first order was delayed due to a storm and although quoted a later delivery time for the 2nd/ rescheduled delivery, the folks arrived about 3 hours earlier. I was away from the apartment and did have to rush back to the apartment in order to honor the 20 minute wait window Feather has in place. I was a bit frustrated and wish it was something that was communicated in advance earlier that morning. I was a bit shocked since the communication up until that point was great!
