Fortunately, early in our journey to outfit our little one's room, we discovered Castle Kids, and we quickly transitioned from not finding a single option we liked elsewhere to debating which of two options to purchase from their store. DJ was honest and incredibly easy to work with, making us feel comfortable while shopping without ever feeling pressured. Their selection effortlessly caters to anyone's decor and budget, and the furniture itself is of such high quality that even a year after our purchase, it still looks as good as new. If you're in the Westchester area, do yourself a favor before settling for one of the national chains and pay Castle Kids a visit. You'll be glad you did! Our contractor referred us to come here on Central Ave in Yonkers because of their reputation, quality and variety. Lights on Design was like a crisp breath of fresh air when we stopped in here. Main floor is mostly crystal grand chandeliers, attractive contemporary style lights, some 1960s-inspired and more. And, if you're on their website, you can shop by style, fixture type and browse through some of their inspiration gallery photos. Paula was a doll, showed us the upstairs filled with mostly pendant lighting, floor lamps and some smaller chandeliers. Since so much has changed in lighting trend, getting rid of our wrought iron dining area chandelier had to happen as well- especially since it has a country-chicish look I don't like anymore in my home. There's another lighting store on Central Avenue which we could've gone to- but based on reviews, so glad this place came out on top. Owner Glenn, was helpful, patient and friendly. Even when hubs and I didn't find what we wanted on their website, Paula helped locate it in their paper catalog. I loved how she gave us expert advice on how to choose fixtures and even determined which size was best for our space. She was our lighting whisperer.

During that time, I had to make well over 100 phone calls just to get updates because no one ever followed up with me. The excuses never ended. First, they claimed my king-size bedroom set wasn't available, even though my order clearly stated king size. Then they told me a queen-size set had arrived at the warehouse. The very next day, they changed their story again and said they no longer had the queen size either, but they had "some king-size pieces" that could be shipped in two days. Then another excuse--it was a holiday weekend, so they couldn't ship anything. Every time I called, I got a completely different story. Reaching the store associate was nearly impossible. I had to call 4-5 times just to get someone to answer, and the store's main phone line was rarely picked up. Customer service was practically nonexistent. After wasting almost two months waiting, I was left with nothing but frustration and now have to spend even more time chasing them for my refund. This company wasted my time, money, and energy. They overpromise, fail to communicate, and don't seem to know what's happening with their own inventory. If you value your time or your money, avoid this store at all costs. There are plenty of furniture stores that actually care about their customers. I will never shop here again and would never recommend it to anyone

Let me begin by stating this is a review pertaining to an online order. I have never been to the…read moreshowroom in Yonkers, NY. Ironically, had I visited the store in person, I never would have purchased this item because I would have seen it and been able to judge in person whether or not I believed it to be authentic. Instead, I relied on the photo and description that was provided online: "Antique Green Glaze Garden Temple Tile. Late-19th-century Chinese green glazed ceramic garden temple tile from the Hunan province." The photo and description of the tile for sale online do not match the tile I received. I contacted Harlan Rose, the manager of the store to explain that I thought the tile was a reproduction, he responded with, "Well this is a he said-she said situation." I tried to explain that no, it was not, since I had three original antique tiles that I had owned for many years, and I was trying to replace a fourth one that had broken, so I knew what the authentic tile would look like, and the one I received from FEA did not look like the three I had. I know they are handmade, and I know the color tones vary. But it was more than that. I told him the one I received was smaller, thinner, and heavier. It also smelled like fresh paint or lacquer. I told him that in my opinion, it seemed more like a reproduction, similar to the types that are sold online as "tiki tiles." Again he said, "Well it's a he said-she said situation." The return policy of the shop is that the customer owes shipping postage, both directions. And, once the item is received back, the store will keep a 25% "restocking" fee. I paid $75 for shipping to me, and I know it would cost at least that much for me to return it. After the 25% "restocking" fee, there would be virtually nothing left to my refund. Harlan offered me some sort of a discounted amount of a store credit if I returned the item, which I declined since I do not live near Yonkers. His final offer was to refund my $75 shipping cost, allow me to keep the tile that does not match my other three, and be out $290. In my opinion, I had no choice but to accept. I did receive my $75 back, but I am in possession of a tile for which I paid $290 and cannot use. I personally would never buy online from this store again. I was not happy with the customer service treatment I received. I do not believe I received the item that was described online as being a 19th century antique--just my opinion, but I wish someone had warned me in a review prior to my purchase so that I would have saved $290.

Worst Experience Ever - Muretti Is Completely Unprofessional…read moreWe had the worst experience imaginable with Muretti. This company caused months of delays, financial loss, and extreme stress, all due to their incompetence and complete lack of responsibility. We ordered kitchen cabinets in December 2024. When the cabinets arrived in April 2025, our renovation was still in progress, so we asked Muretti to store them in their warehouse for one month. They charged us $400, which we paid. Months later, when the cabinets were finally delivered, several critical items were missing, including the island cabinet, dishwasher panel, and accessories. Muretti could not explain whether these items were lost or never manufactured. After weeks of uncertainty, they told us the missing parts had to be reordered and would arrive in July. Since our renovation was already underway, we had no choice but to agree. When installation finally began, another serious issue occurred: the sink cabinet was the wrong size and did not fit, forcing our contractor to stop work entirely. On top of that, Muretti delivered parts that did not belong to our kitchen, which our contractor discovered in August during installation. These incorrect parts remained in our apartment for months, taking up space and interfering with the workers' ability to complete the job. Another major problem is that Muretti kitchens are not built to American standard sizes. They follow European standards, meaning the cabinets are shorter and result in significant loss of storage space--something we were never informed about. Muretti then promised to reorder the correctly sized cabinet and assured us it would be delivered by mid-October. This was extremely frustrating, as we had to move into our new home in September, living for months without a functional kitchen. Despite our dissatisfaction, we agreed only because they guaranteed the delivery would not go beyond mid-October. After we moved in, the owner, Marcin, came to our apartment and told us the cabinet would now arrive at the end of November, clearly taking advantage of the fact that we were already living there. He did not apologize even once. Because our main contractor finished the renovation in September, we had to pay out of pocket, realizing that completing the kitchen would take several more months. Since these delays were entirely caused by Muretti's mistakes, we asked them to take responsibility for completing the remaining work, including cabinet installation, plumbing, electrical work, and repainting walls damaged during installation. At first, Marcin refused, claiming none of this was his fault and that it was our contractor's responsibility. Only after we became extremely upset did he finally agree. When Marcin came to our apartment, we showed him the chaotic conditions we were forced to live in--kitchen appliances and belongings scattered throughout the apartment. Instead of apologizing, he shamelessly told us that we chose to live in this mess. He then only completed part of the work, refused to finish it, refused to pay his worker, told us to hire our own contractor again, and left the apartment unfinished. Additionally, he never offered to refund the $400 storage fee, even though only half of the kitchen cabinets were stored instead of the complete set. Muretti is a terrible company, and its owner, Marcin, is unprofessional, unethical, irresponsible, and dishonest. He takes no responsibility for his actions and showed complete disregard for the impact his mistakes had on our lives. This experience caused serious financial loss, emotional stress, and months of disruption. Based on our experience, we strongly warn others to avoid Muretti. We are now preparing legal action due to the significant problems they caused.

It did take about 4 months between ordering and then delivery and install so just be prepared for that lead time. Also be aware that there's no post-installation warranty. Bottom line though, the look is unparalleled and I'm super happy with how it turned out.
