Good overall location. Don't let the outside throw you off - it looks small from the outside, but once you head down with either an escalator or an elevator, you can see the full size of this location. You can also access this from the side of the building down a flight of stairs. This one was busier than other locations I went to, though this was also on a weekend which might explain it. It's standard as far as what Barnes & Noble generally carries. What they don't have, they can always order for you. If you're looking for blu ray/DVDs, you won't find any here at all - which is a bit disappointing. They do have vinyl though. Only had interaction with one employee and he was friendly. Most others I saw were with customers. Located in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center mall, there is plenty of parking. It's a generally busy shopping area, so use caution in the lot. A good location, but I don't see myself coming back here unless I'm in the immediate area and need to.

Service was dutiful and conscientious but a little anemic in that she did not stop by once to check in. The selection was ok. Not the largest and most expansive menu but there should be something for just about everyone. Food was affordable meaning 20 dollars an entree. Seating was comfortable. Area was chilly.

I had the most unusual experience today at the Starbucks located inside Barnes & Noble. I went to the Starbucks counter and asked a middle-age woman if they had "Water"? After repeating my question, a couple of times, she directed me to the barista. When I spoke to the barista and asked the same question "do you have water?" I was received with the same, quizzical look, like they never heard the word "water" before in English? I was beginning to think I might have use another word: aqua, agua, eau, wasser, mizo, pH 7 to get my point across! I didn't see it on the menu so I began to wonder if they carried it? Finally, the barrister had a lightbulb go on! She asked if I wanted a glass or a bottle? I told her a bottle would be fine. $3.25 for imported water from Fiji!!! Is there something wrong with New York city water? I've heard it's one of the best in the country. But, what do I know? What's with Starbucks?! I know that corporate, will never read this review. I'm just expressing my opinion and exasperation with the lack of service and consistent incompetency, with them b

Ordered the BLT Panini with Kale Salad. So delicious and fresh! I thought it was going to be super heavy, but it was satisfyingly nutritious without the afternoon slumber effect. Price is moderate but not a huge deal for the quality!

This is a staple in the Scarsdale community. I drive about 15 mins to come here to relax and study. This Barnes and Nobles is great to study, meet with friends, grab a good book, and get a good bite to eat! I totally recommend going here if you need a space to study and even work.

It makes me happy that we have at least one bookstore in Eastchester. Who doesn't love picking out a book, getting into a comfy chair, and sipping on coffee? Or, you can get a table at their restaurant and indulge into some great entrees. On a cold day, order the grilled cheese with the tomato soup. If you want a healthier option, their salads hit different.

The little one wanted to eat here so she could buy some new books afterward. We were seated right away. The staff was clearly swamped. We had A child's burger. It came with roasted potatoes Mac 'n cheese Tomato soup and Caesar salad Avocado toast with egg Avocado toast without egg. With tomato ($1.50 up charge). Iced coffees Lemonades. The food is good here. The staff is friendly. We spotted freshly baked cookies at the to go Starbucks counter. The waitress boxed 3 for us and added it to our bill. Nice spot for a meal, snack or just some Starbucks drinks.

I am shocked at this "grilled cheese" sandwich!! Where's the cheese??, We waited over 20 minutes for this and I am very disappointed! This is definitely a 1st. I have had this plenty of times with no complaints until today. The waiter was nice and very understanding but The person making this needs to do better!!!

I decided to take a vegan friend to BN Kitchen for their birthday because the menu lists vegan friendly options. This was my first time visiting since early 2020 (Prior to this I came here all the time. See my review 3 years ago) The place was fairly empty. We arrive around 3 pm. After waiting about 7-8 minutes to be seated i had to ask the barista to call someone over. After we were seated, no one came over until i asked someone to bring us water (about 10 minutes later). As my friend was ordering they asked about a vegan bread option for the plant based burger. This burger comes with brioche bun. Why would anyone service bread made with milk and eggs on a plant based burger? The server said she didn't know if there were other options. After a blank stare, I asked her to find out. She comes back and says we can sub with sourdough but I have to charge you. (Yeap, charge for a downgrade). We agreed. The meals were ok, not as good as I remember. The sourdough toast was over toasted and the edges weren't edible. When the bill came it appears they don't actually have a way to up charge for bread. Instead we were charged for avocado... Perhaps I am being too sensitive but Ive never been charged to sub for toast for a fancy bun on an almost $20 burger

Food and ambiance is great here. Ive been here to work for a few hours and enjoy my experience every time. The service can be a little slow and it gets busy during lunch so be sure to come early!

One of my favorite Barnes & Noble bookstores. Came here with my Accountability ladies for our weekly lunchtime. Our server, John - a breadth of fresh air! The burger was delicious! A definite local spot to patronize for a meal. Great location to have meetings. Food is delicious!!!'

They specialize in 19th and 20th century English and American literature, which means you're going to see a lot of titles you're familiar with. I stopped in late in their day, so I wasn't surprised to be the only one there, but the team gave me space, answered very basic questions I had, and - gasp - LET ME TOUCH THE BOOKS. This is far from a stuffy environment, and when I finally convince my partner that I need that very expensive piece that has F. Scott Fitzgerald's music for Princeton, I know exactly where I'll go.

Well, 45 minutes later, I was still oohing and awing at the marvelous selection of first edition books they have to offer. This is the largest selection (aside from corporate-owned Bauman's) of rare books I've seen that include the dust jacket- a collectors actual dream. It's the biggest breath of fresh air to find a rare book store owned by a woman, and to be treated like a human being. I normally get side-eyed from rare bookstore owners and some of the conversations I've had sound like: "May I see the Portrait of a Lady in the case?" "All of these books are at least $100.00 and up." ".....I know." "Do you have any Wilde?" "The book about the woman hiking alone? That's too new to be in our shop, Barnes & Noble would have it." "I'm talking about the 1800s poet." "Oh." I take it personally because while I look like a millennial who doesn't know what she's talking about, I treasure my rare books like they're my children. Sunday stayed AN EXTRA HOUR at her store while I looked and answered all of my questions that I had, never making me feel rushed or unwelcome. After selecting a first edition Fitzgerald, she wrapped it in bubble wrap for my travels back home and gave me an updated book with all of the rare book sellers in the country.
