Produce is plentiful and very fresh. They are well stocked with necessities--milk, bread, eggs, snacks--as well as less-common small market fare such as quinoa and herbal teas. They have a coffee station and a deli counter with cold cuts or where you can grab breakfast or a sandwich to go. In short, all of your standards and more, with a slight emphasis on Eastern Europe/Mediterranean fare--different for this neighborhood that tends to skew Irish, but not unwelcome. More than just a supplemental place to pick up a few things, you could almost use this as a primary supermarket. What a welcome addition to this neighborhood.

I've been to this market several times and I remember they started out nicely...or nice enough. But…read moreI've been back there recently and the store has changed and not for the better! You can say the fruit and vegetables (what they have) look okay or fresh enough...but unfortunately when you get home and are ready to eat and prepare the produce, it's on the old side and not fresh at all. I've had to throw away certain produce because they weren't in good shape. The apples seem to look okay...but when ya get home and you bite into them, they're brown and mushy. Just a waste of money. I/We have purchased dairy products in the past such as eggs, milk and yogurt and have had to return the items because they were either old and/or spoiled. Perhaps they have a refrigeration problem or the thermostat is kept way too low?? Just no good. We've noticed that many items on the shelves are on the older side and are outdated. Ketchup, mustard, honey and cookies to name a few. The store did not seem to be very clean the last time I stopped in. The floors were sticky and the merchandise on the shelves were very dusty. I came in to return a gallon of milk which was spoiled and the cashier was very nasty and rude to me because I did not have a receipt...meanwhile she was the one who rang me up the day before. She gave me my money back...but gave me a very hard time for no reason. This is no way to treat customers and to run a business. No way!! Normally a person could just let this go...but this is not the first time. It's happened several times. The little one (cashier) in particular has a rotten attitude. I/We won't be going back to this store anymore. There are better markets and stores one can go to without these types of problems. Not worth it. Sorry......

Guys here also carry a variety of veggies and have several aisles of fully stocked shelves. One side of their large glass counter has the deli meat+ cheeses, followed by pre-packaged mixed greens, Salad toppings and prepared meals- which they can heat up. On days I don't bring lunch to work, I get an eggplant sandwich with lettuce/tomatoes or go for the eggplant on mixed greens with other veggies- that are both winners for me. The Spanish-speaking guys working on the kitchen side are always helpful and know my picky ways and the owners are friendly. Budget-friendly is not. But know this- S&W comes handy on this end in E. And the bonus? Most of the time they are still warm on the bottom. Just the apple. The other flavors must be made elsewhere because the crust is not the same.
