However, once they got my signature and deposit it was like pulling teeth to the get the actual project scheduled. I'm also a long distance owner, coordinating the project. So it's especially hard not being in the state. I even flew to VA to chat with them but they ghosted me. Apparently only the owner of the company, Rafael, can only schedule projects on Fridays but he's not available most Fridays to chat. Not the person you start the project with. She can't schedule projects. I really regret going with FKBD for the project. I especially regret it because I paid a premium for the labor, and decided to go with this company vs another younger, cheaper company (VA Creative Renovations - Chris is great - check them out) because I thought they would be on top of the project and get it done quickly and get it done well. Apparently not. There was a lack of follow through and communication. When I did ask for timing and submitted my tile choices with Susan, who was my project manager, she had to call over to Rafael, then he'd call me all grumpy for interrupting his day. Seems like there's a control issue. Then when the project was supposed to start there was an issue with the tile I originally chose, even though I had submitted my design choices weeks prior. They said there was a delay with the tile and they had to change the project start date. Meanwhile I'm trying to coordinate with my tenants. Luckily they are the nicest tenants anyone can ask for. All in all they did a great job on my bathroom - eventually. You just need to be really on top of them.

As you are aware, I have 2 dear friends that highly recommended W Builders; there is nothing like having people you know and respect give you the courage to move ahead with work I've been wanting to have done for some time now. Embarking on any home project is often very daunting; between the cost, your house turned upside down and of course having workers in your home while you still have to live there. I am so happy to say, you somehow made all of this quite seamless! I've owned my home for over 30 years and have done countless projects so when I tell you that your company has been my favorite and an easy one to recommend, it's saying a lot! The quality of your work is excellent and your staff does not cut corners! One day in passing, your workers specifically mentioned to me how much they enjoyed working for you as you allow them to perform their designated trade in the way they would like things to be done, even if it may take a bit longer. The gentlemen that you had on this job always respected my home which means a lot. The other compliment I would like to pass along is timeless; something that rarely happens in this line of work. Upon requesting a consult for the scope of work, you were quick to set up an appointment and equally quick on providing me with a written estimate. The estimate was detailed and accurate and if I added any additional work you were good at following up on a written statement with the additional cost. The fact that you started the project early and the crew showed up every day, on time and worked more than a full day is impressive and sadly a rarity in this business. Lastly it was easier to make choices on flooring, bathroom fixtures and the like by having you go with me to the store, being honest on your thoughts and guiding me based on my budget. Even when I purchased too much flooring you graciously took it all back and had a credit put back on my card. Thank you for renewing my faith in contractors and for exceeding my expectations with this project, something I had wanted to do for such a long time but had no idea where to start or who to use. Be prepared for my next project in 2024, I look forward to working with you again.

Andres regularly comes by to check the work and ensure everything meets the highest quality standards, which I truly appreciate. When KraftMaid kept sending cabinetry parts that didn't fit my sink, Cisco, Andres, and the team didn't give up. They came up with the best solution, made the necessary adjustments, and made everything work seamlessly. Their professionalism, problem-solving, and dedication really stand out. They'll also be working on my backsplash and finishing the cabinets next week, and I'll be adding more photos then. For now, I just want to thank Cisco, Andres, and the entire Home-X team for their hard work, integrity, and commitment to getting the job done right. I'm looking forward to the final result, and I'm confident it will be amazing.

Mr. Stuardo said we have to wait for countertop installation which takes 3-4 weeks so they can come and finish the remaining 3 wall cabinets, he did not let me finish and hung up on me. Am I to deal with the mess around my condo since everything is in boxes all around the place for 3-4 weeks just to get the 3 remaining wall cabinets to be installed? I do not understand why wall cabinets have to do anything with countertop for floor cabinets. I know countertop takes 3-4 weeks to be measured and fabricated but Mr. Stuardo said we have to wait till the countertop to be installed meaning I have to wait another 4 weeks then he did not let me talk and hung up on me. Again, I told him and his boss Mr. Franciso the countertop installation has nothing to do with wall cabinet. I am very upset Mr. Franciso said talk to Lowe's since we are contracted with them. The Home X Remodeling crew are very disrespectful and rude. DO NOT work with these people as they are not on time, they do not care for customers. They created very bad experience and frustration for us. If you are thinking about working with Home X Remodeling, think twice before you hire them. Also I will let Lowe's know what company they are contracting with since Lowe's reputation is on line and important as well. Never recommend Home X remodeling anybody.
