We had quotes from other plumbers that were lower but went with this contractor because he had done a previous job. We are very extremely unhappy with the shoddy work he did. The plumbing was not changed. The main job was to change the plumbing. He gave us assurances that he would change the plumbing, but he never did. He put in the cheapest tub and the thinnest plastic surround. We had asked for links to the tub and surround so we could see ahead of time what would be put but this contractor never sent the links and showed up with the cheapest materials. The plastic walls are not high enough and there is going to be mold in future with the low surround and seams that were just glued. Irene C

Granitech came to my home within a couple of days of my inquiry to assess and measure the shower. The Granitech team was very responsive to my questions and made recommendations to ensure the design of the new shower aligned with my wants and needs. They also recommended replacing the 19-year old vanities/cabinets with new 34" heigh cabinets and provided a separate price quote with two design options. The shower renovation and cabinet replacement was reasonably priced. The Granitech team showed up as scheduled and was meticulous in laying floor covers from the front door to the upstairs master bathroom to protect the areas. Granitech demolished the existing shower down to the studs, installed new insulation, relocated the drain, installed new plumbing, shower head, wet-rated shower light fixture, onyx shower wall panels, hardware (towel racks, grab bars, toilet paper holders), new luxury cabinets/vanities. Granitech also coordinated the design and installation of a customer pivot shower door with Dulles Glass. The Granitech team installed everything to perfection, patched drywall in garage ceiling once the WSSC and county inspector confirmed work was compliant with building code. Constant communication and stellar project management coupled with highly skilled home improvement staff resulted in an excellent quality bathroom renovation. I am thoroughly pleased with my new bathroom. I look forward to using Granitech for future home improvement projects. We replaced our old rotting deck with a beautiful new room addition, designed by WISA, with a…read moresliding door and a side exit that even included a small full bathroom and closet (features that other companies told us would not be possible within the same amount of existing space that we had to work with). WISA's team was wonderful. Everyone did an expert job -- from digging the foundation (lots and lots of dirt needed to be removed!) to extraordinary architectural planning of the project to painstaking attention to every small detail that accentuated the beauty of this space. We especially like that we saw the same team members on a consistent basis (no outsourcing of labor). Everyone arrived on time for the workday and put in their full effort all day long, six days a week -- the excavators, foundation builders, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, roofing and siding specialists, and, indeed, the entire highly skilled workforce. They found solutions to any and every issue that sometimes cropped up, as to be expected in a large, involved project of this magnitude. The design and project planning team, along with the architect and company heads, were so very helpful in bringing our vision to life. We even went ahead and had old popcorn ceiling removed from our existing living room, dining room, and kitchen and had all those walls and ceilings painted to match our new room addition and had recessed lighting installed in those areas, too (our older home did not have any existing ceiling lighting in our living room) -- so a lot of expert wiring was required to accomplish all this. Additionally, we had WISA install electrical power and lighting to our shed while they were working on all of the other wiring installation work. Our new extension with plenty of large windows to enjoy our treed back yard just adds so much more to the enjoyment of this beautiful extra space. Our back yard was so sloped previously that we couldn't fully use a lot of this additional area effectively before. The new flooring was hand-picked and hand-stained to very closely match our existing floor that this tied into. We now have extra room for family and guests to stay. Not only did the room design and the new large side deck exceed our expectations, instead of renovating an older bathroom as we had planned to do, we decided to go ahead with having a lovely retaining wall and matching pavers installed to fully enhance our new space. This is the first time we've ever had a level pathway across our backyard. It makes everything so much easier! This also corrected previous poor drainage problems affecting our yard, so that was an unexpected added bonus. Our addition turned out better than we could ever have imagined and at a far better price than several quotes we received from other companies. Our initial quote from WISA was easily only half the cost of the quotes from other home improvement companies we contacted. Also, the WISA showroom has just as much selection of products as other companies do; and they will go above and beyond to help you find just the right flooring, tiling, bathroom fixtures, and other options even beyond what they carry in their large onsite showroom. From initial design, to pulling permits, to their advanced experience in coordinating and carrying out plans in compliance with homeowner association (HOA) approval, to final completion of a beautifully constructed new room, deck, and backyard retention wall and paver layout, they are truly top-notch! We are beyond thrilled with our new space and would highly consider WISA for any other projects - like those bathroom renovations - that we plan to tackle in the future! In fact, we have already recommended them to others, as well. This was such a wise decision and a wonderful investment in both the beauty and value of our home! Our room addition is now like a bit of a vacation retreat!

First, WISA SOLUTIONS changed our unfinished basement into a beautiful bedroom, kitchenette, and…read moretelevision lounge. Then they remodeled our dated family room with new tiles, textures, colors, and masterful carpentry. This was followed by a complete transformation of the kitchen (flooring, appliances, unique led lighting, cabinets, personalized work island). Simultaneously, they converted a seldom-used mudroom into a popular coffee bar with a customized door. Next month, WISA will completely rebuild the master bedroom closet. Every one of these construction projects has been, and will be, completed to a finish level that exceeds our expectations and, as important, without having to vacate our home. WISA employs craft-persons, not "day laborers," so we know these talented men and women by name. That brings a level of mutual respect and confidence that seems to be frequently missing today. Having a considerable amount of experience, we can confidently say that you can find companies that are less expensive, but you will never find one better than WISA SOLUTIONS.

We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. If you want something done right the first time, then I highly recommend contacting M3!! If we stay in this house then you guys won't be done with us yet! -Cristen, Phil and now +2 (!)

Phenomenal work!…read more AVC Home Improvement fully renovated our family room full bathroom. It was a full gut -- complete renovation with new everything: lighting, heated flooring, vanity, tub with handheld shower, and more. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. To prevent the family room from getting dirty, they covered the floors and furniture in the entire family room. They always came on time and were incredibly diligent in their work. What I especially liked about AVC Home Improvement is that they are the ones who are actually do all the work. They are not a company who contract out their work. We had additional requests during the renovation of our full bathroom: adding lighting for the tub/shower area, installing grab bars and heated flooring. AVC didn't hesitate to accommodate our requests. They also installed a new utility room sink for the washing machine, and relocated the washing machine so that it is now next to the dryer. That makes it so much easier for us. Their recommendations for the electrician and countertop people were also exceptional. I would not hesitate to use ACV Home Improvement for any future renovations, and happily recommend their services to others.
