I sure do have a soft spot in my heart for Jet Blue. The staff is (usually) helpful; however, this time around, the flight attendants were not too happy and willing to help. It might have been the fact that I looked like I could've been related to a Zombie...but c'mon! Customer service is key. I took a Red Eye flight from Salt Lake City to Orlando and was greeted, again, not by the attendants, but by complimentary ear plugs and sleep masks! They were incredible. In addition, the mini televisions on the back of each chair were wonderful. The channels they had were great, from the Food Network to Discovery; and if you wanted to watch a movie, all you had to do was swipe your card and pay $5. Holla. There were snacks and beverages, which I LOVE. Try the cookies, there is just something about a good pre-packaged chocolate chip cookie that gets me every time. At the end of our flight, the attendants handed out wet wipes to wash our hands and face. I wish I could've had another bag of cookies--but, you win some and you lose some. As I dragged my tired body off the plane and tried not to breathe on anyone with my killer morning breath, the pilot waved us goodbye. Dang, Jet Blue. You rocked it again. TIPS & TRICKS: * Check in early and have your boarding pass sent to your email. You can pull it up on your phone and scan it right then and there. Jet Blue? It pains me write a review with less than 4 stars about Jetblue however it's necessary for this location. It almost seems like they've turned into Southwest or another value airline. The check in process is an absolute nightmare as they have transitioned over to self check in machines, I'm assuming to cut back on wait times, yet you then have to join a line to drop your bag. Yes you can drop you bag outside however I have never had good luck with this process and have been without luggage for days due to this. Call us (hubs and I) old fashioned but we opted to check in with a person. So we waited in line where one man was working a counter that could accommodate 6+ people. After the 30 minute wait we were checked in and our bags sent off to the plane. Security wasn't bad however having "extra speed" through security due to our seat choice on JetBlue is useless. Do NOT purchase it if it's offered as an extra separately. Boarding for our flight was delayed for an unknown, unannounced reason. Once on the plane we noticed boarding was a little disorganized. We then sat at the gate for some time before leaving. Then more waiting happened. Something I noticed was the pilot do not announce "flight crew prepare for take out" so something was off. Sure enough, the pilot announced after about 30 minutes of waiting, that they were on the phone with maintenance because there as an issue. 30 more minutes passed and we were told we are going back to the gate because the weather radar wasn't working. Another 20 minutes or more of waiting at the gate in a hot plane was insane! We were then allowed to de-plane because the air conditioning wasn't working correctly either. Both my husband and I had pounding headaches due to the heat and fumes coming in. As soon as I got off the plane I asked the woman at the desk if we could reschedule. She said that it wouldn't be a problem and directed us to the help desk at the entry of the terminal. We then met Renee, who was AMAZING, she deserves recondition here because she got both of our bags off the plane and had me on the phone with customer service to reschedule our flight. We opted to fly out the following day which went a little smoother. However we did still experience havoc at check in. This time we used the self service kiosk and it printed out boarding passes but no luggage tags. A gentleman came over to assist us and said the computers were acting up. About 10 minutes later he asked to see our licenses and the attached luggage tags to our bags and took them to the baggage area. Looking back on this whole scenario I think of all of the times I have flown on JetBlue flights over the past 5+ years. It's very easy to see they were having an issue with the plane prior to boarding and they were stalling as long as they could. Next time be upfront with the passengers. Don't board them onto the plane when your still working on mechanical things. The plane did end up flying later that day as I knew some other passengers on the plane. They were delayed by at least 4 hours. Will I fly JetBlue again, most likely, because I like knowing where I'm sitting prior to travel day and also I enjoy the extra leg room upgrade. Am I as happy and eager to refer people to this airline? Absolutely not. If extra legroom and seat selection don't bother you, fly a different airline. read more

I have read a lot of bad reviews lately about Jetblue, but I must say I've had a VERY different experience. My husband and I were flying to Orlando. On our flight, everyone and I do mean everyone was so helpful. The flight was on time and arrived on time. On our fight back home to Boston, our flight got canceled for 2 days because of a storm that was brewing in Orlando and Boston. Very inconvenient but luckily we were staying with family so the cost of paying for 2 more days for a hotel stay was minimized. I had to stay on hold or really for an online chat for over 5 hrs, but I would guess that everyone who was on the canceled flight was calling just like I was so really not Jetblue's fault. We arrived for our flight and it got delayed by 1hr. I really want to get home, but they were waiting for 1 more employee to show up. Everyone was so nice about it, though, so oh well, life happens. JetBlue is the way to travel!! I have the JetBlue credit card so I built up points for a FREE flight which is always awesome. We had a great flight home from Los Angeles to Orlando after our wedding in Vegas. Jetblue offers spacious seating, large table trays, free entertainment (we watched 2 new movies), they offer free water and snacks. Flight attendants are professional and friendly. The pilot greeted us all and said goodbye to everyone getting off the plane. We hit some turbulence and the seat belt sign was on most of the flight but the pilot was very informative and kept us relaxed throughout the 5 hour fight. On my most recent flights, I read that JetBlue has been around for 17 years. In think we have used them almost exclusively that entire time. They seemed a step above other airlines for quite a while, though I suspect the others have caught up a bit now, as JetBlue now charges for your first checked bag like everyone else. But they don't oversell seats and unlike a couple of reviews I read, I have never encountered a rude JetBlue employee. I think sometimes rudeness is perceived by demanding people who don't get what they want. My most recent flights went fairly smoothly. Two of my four flights were delayed, but neither instance caused an issue with my connections. The pilot crews seem able to make up time in the air to try to offset late starts. I hate to complain about small things, but for three of the four flights I was unable to either listen to music or watch something on the small video screen. For two of those flights, no one on the plane could do so. And my wife said for the last flight, the JetBlue website was messed up, with the flight status map showing my plane heading off to Ohio instead of Orlando. She got a little worried. Like I said, these are small things, but if they don't sweat the little stuff, how long before the same happens with the bigger stuff? read more

Arrive at airport at 17:00. Flight delayed until 23:48 and diverted to JFK instead of LaGuardia. Leave from LaGuardia to Orlando on 28 July 2019. Flight scheduled to depart at 16:00. On our flight to Orlando last Friday the turbulence was very bad yet the attendants kept serving beverages. The beverage cart was about to tip over and the carafe of hot water fell off and the boiling water ended up spilling down to my wife's back. She has suffered burns. The worst Jet Blue experience I've ever had. Believe it or not, before yesterday I didn't think that was even possible. I hold Jet Blue to the highest standards and I hope it's just the Orlando based location because I refuse to have my thoughts of them tarnished any further. So we get there and the only task was to print out the boarding passes because I had checked in the prior night online. Lord....something that was supposed to take approximately 1-2 minutes turned into an hour ordeal. I'm standing at the kiosk trying and trying and not getting anywhere. After 5 minutes I walk up to the woman standing at the end of the line for the counters and she proceeds to tell me that the kiosks are down. Ok, but woman you saw me and my family standing there struggling and decided not to share that information with me! So we grab our bags and head to the line for the counters and after standing there for 5 minutes noticing no movement.. a man walks by and announces the trouble they're currently having with the system and how it is going to be about 20 minutes before they reboot the system. So we all are at a standstill for what turns into over 45 minutes. Everyone was not only restless but aggravated and some people even took to sitting on the floor. It was just a huge mess -- you would think a company as large would have some sort of back up system or something in place for when this happens but instead they stand there looking at each other like fools. No type of apology. No type of nothing for the major inconvenience. And now we had to rush through security and not have any time to grab some grub or anything. Super annoying and to top it off the turbulence was ridiculous for perfect weather. Idk Jet Blue.. you really disappointed me and ruined my travel back to NY. read more

Crew had zero idea what was going on- one passenger had text alerts with more information than anyone else. 2 1/2hours later they put us on the plane for another 45 minutes to do paperwork. I had to argue to be allowed to change my 8 month old baby's diaper because no one knew when we were leaving. Those stars fade away real quickly.. 1) File a report at the airport then WAIT and wait.. We were told it "somehow" missed the plane altho we both checked in at least 90 min prior..? Mine made it...but hers..not so much 2) All of a sudden the customer service is non existent..AND the lies begin.. Starts off with a "report" the rep at the airort was clueless and not very helpful.. I guess she loses bags all day long so no big deal for HER ?? ( Cara) 3) You get a phone # to call.. Try it My suggestion go to a movie and when you get back you will STILL be on hold listening to horrible music.. 4 )By some fluke on my 4th attempt they "actually" called me back but then the LIES start. Each time I call (wait about 40- 70 min OR sometimes they actually call me back...then they say.. "No problem man it will be at your hotel 1st thing tomorrow morning..guaranteed.. Thanks Alli... .but that's a lie.. 5) Waiting at hotel ...10 AM Spoke to Cura she said she "expects" it will be there 24 hours later .. 11.45 AM spoke to Joe.." It is coming in on the late afternoon 5 PM flite.." but at least he gave me a web site to follow up .. 2.48 PM spoke to Misha She thinks it is still "lost?" somewhere..maybe Newark who knows? #JetBlue I'm so disappointed in you. I had gotten an emergency phone call to get home as soon as possible. I changed my flight to the first available and rushed to the airport, through security, on the tram, to the gate, only to get there one minute late. This is NOT an exaggeration. ONE MINUTE! I looked for someone to help. The plane was still there, obviously, still attached, door not shut on the jet. One employee ran down the ramp to talk with the gate keeper. I'll also grab it for personal travel too. Newer clean planes. Great air conditioning on board. Terrific entertainment with tv screens at each seat. Friendly staff on board. Wonderful assortment of snacks and drinks that you can have as much as you want. Good travel rates and first checked bag flies free. Comfy and roomy leather seats. Easy to gain fee flights through their flyer points rewards program. Most every flight I have ever been on withJetBlue has been on time or early. Easy to navigate website for booking flights. Even quick ticketing and boarding at the airports. Their JFK Terminal rocks. The list goes on and on. Now, they will even be having wifi available on their fleet of planes starting in the Fall. In these days of horrible travel and uncaring airlines, JetBlue was a pleasant surprise. The crews were efficient and the planes comfortable (they have more room than most airlines). Whenever we have used JetBlue, the staff has been good and the flights comfortable. On this flight they were very tolerant of a ill-behaved (and abusive to the crew) child and let it roll off their backs. I wish other airlines took some of their tips. I have flown Jet blue several times. I have not had any bad experiences with any of the flights. This latest flight was amazing. I flew to DC from Orlando with my wife and handicap mother. From the curb side check in at OIA and returned I was very impressed. I was dreading the thought of pushing both my mother and 3 large suitcases through OIA. I dropped off my wife and Mother with the bags at curb side and waved for a porter. After parking the car and walking back to the terminal I found that the porter had checked in all our bags and had our boarding passes ready for us. Next over to the final check in and he put our bags on the scale and away they went. Another porter pushed my mother through a special security area and beat us to the gate. My mother called from the gate to see where we were and I said I was just getting off the tram and going to get a Starbucks. The porter asked if I wanted my mother brought over to Starbucks. I said we would meet her at the gate. The porter waited with her until we arrived. This same level of curtesy was shown to us getting on, off and picking up our luggage in DC. The same upon returning all the way to baggage pickup in Orlando. Great experience and I will be happy to fly Jet Blue again. read more

I cannot believe that I'm giving an airline four stars, but, for this trip at least, Jet Blue has been awesome. Maybe I'm just so jaded at feeling like I'm always getting screwed by the other airlines that im a bit biased...maybe Jet Blue's service was only ok, but these days OK seems to be outstanding. Both flights to and from Orlando were on-time, and in fact both landed early. The check in process at Newark was fast and painless - took about 10 minutes. Check in in Orlando scared me initially as the lines were crazy long-but I asked an employee about the kiosk check in an he told me to use the kiosk then check bag outside for $2 each if I wanted to skip the lines. $4 total to skip 40 minutes in line???? SOLD!!!!! Thanks guys! Plus no charge for the first bag...bye bye United, Delta, and American! I'll keep flying Jet Blue as long as they keep making the other airlines look like crooks. read more

JetBlue Airlines at Orlando airport is one of my favorite airlines to fly back home to New York. I normally fly from Stewart to Orlando on JetBlue. A one-way ticket that is booked 60 days in advance is usually around $124 each way. Sometimes JetBlue run specials for $100 a ticket. The best part is it's a direct flight. From Orlando back to New York it has always been at the exact same gate every time. The staff is always extremely friendly and they are very accommodating. The pilots on multiple flights have come out and said hi how are you doing etc. All of the jet blue flights have 36 channels of direct TV for free during your flight. They are the only airline that I have ever flown that has Dunkin' Donuts coffee and tea on the flight. I think that that is the coolest thing that they've partnered with Dunkin' Donuts to give you a better experience during your flight. The snacks are also very good snacks they are namebrand snacks they're not airline Brands snacks. They have Snyders pretzels Keebler cookies The Dunkin' Donuts and the snacks are all free. I tend to fly nonstop across country quite often from New York to California and New York to Las Vegas. Other airlines that I fly do not have some of the same luxuries that JetBlue has. On these other flight you have to pay for the TV or for movies. Also on these other flights I have spent round-trip tickets $700 + dollars round trip and you still have to pay for these items that JetBlue offers them for free. I know the other flights are cross country but you get my point. I feel because JetBlue is a smaller airline if any problems arise they can control their problems and issues in a quick and effective manner. Overall I will continue to fly JetBlue from New York to Orlando and from Orlando back home to New York. The tickets are priced extremely well. You get free live TV and Dunkin' Donuts on the flight. The only Time that I've had a better flight experience is flying private. For a commercial flight especially from New York to Orlando I highly recommend using jet blue. PROS: - cheap non stop flights to NY - staff is great and friendly - they have Dunkin donuts in flight - 36 channels of direct TV for free!!!!!! read more

And yes, I will be writing them a complaint. They cancelled our flight going home to HPN. They notified us late. How late, well we we're already hanging out in the terminal gate when I got an automated call from them. Yes, planes need maintenance. I understand that but don't re-book my flight for the next day, assuming that will work. Why didn't they re-book and accommodated us for later flights instead. I go to the desk and found fellow passengers complaining and trying to reschedule flights. The only flight they can fit us in was going to la guardia at 6pm. Long story short, the weather was bad here in NYC so our flight keeps getting pushed back. The 6pm flight didn't leave until 10pm which got us in at 1am-ish which made us missed work the next day because Laguardia airport is a clusterf&ck that's why I don't fly there. most of the staff were accommodating when I asked them questions except for one. her name was shakira (I kid you not). She was rude when I asked her a question about a flight. She tells me the flight left already when I see the plane still taxed in the gate because they literally just finished boarding.
