    The major carriers are trying their best to lower their standards to be more like discount carriers. The whole industry sucked all the enjoyment out of air travel. So, Allegiant really isn't that different any more except it is still much cheaper if you are traveling between the towns they serve. My flight out of Appleton to Sanford Orlando and my flight back were both packed, on time, with my luggage arriving on the baggage claim carousel shortly after I arrived. So, that's better than my last couple of flights on Delta and United. It was a short flight so I paid for no upgrades, I was boarded last, punished with a center seat, and had to buy clothes at my destination as well as do laundry in the hotel but traveling between small airports and saving hundreds of dollars, it was worth it. They are very strict about luggage, you just get one personal and it has to fit in the smallest space I've ever seen in front of my seat, though they don't count CPAP and other necessary medical equipment so I guess I had two little carryons. You can only put a bag in overhead if you pay for it, but if you pay for checked luggage ahead of time online (use their app), it's not any more than Delta or United and less than Spirit. Like Spirit, there will be sick contagious passengers and crying babies all around you. Bring hearing protection, reading material, snacks and an empty water bottle to fill past security as they charge a lot for drinks and snacks in flight.

    I flew from Belleville, IL to Sanford/Orlando on 8/24/25 with my dog in a carrier that matched the dimensions of your requirements. No problem. When we departed from Sanford/Orlando on 8/31/25, the check in people decided my dog was too big for the carrier. She was able to stand up, turn around, and lay down. In fact, she was asleep when we checked in. They were going to deny us boarding. I told them there was no problem boarding in Belville, same dog, same carrier. They called four different people to look at my dog sleeping in the carrier. It still had the airline tag on the carrier from Belleville. Finally, they decided to let us board since we were headed home on a round trip ticket. They told us we would not be able to fly with the dog in that carrier on Allegiant ever again. No worries. We won't be after that hassle. We will also be canceling our Allegiant credit card with you. Train your people all the same and have them know the specs of the carrier. I do.

    Truly garbage. Yes, direct flights are nice and convenient, but what's more convenient are flights that leave on time. We had an 8am flight heading home to McAllen. Checked the night before and it said everything was on time. We got through check in fine. When we got to our terminal, it's literally a giant holding area with 4 gates leaving out of the same door. It's so confusing and so easy to get on the wrong flight. Once we got into the "gate" we stood in line to board. Once we scanned our ticket in, we still had to wait on the loading tunnel. There we were stuck for 30min until they told us all to turn around and go back to the holding area to wait and be updated. Apparently there was a "safety issue" with the plane so they had to get another plane. My last flight was delayed because the crew before didn't do a maintenance on it. We were the first flight so I'm thinking another maintenance wasn't done. We ended up being delayed an hour. What's up with these planes? Then they have the widest aisles with the thinnest seats. No leg space! I prefer aisle and looking at the design of the chairs, it has the smallest stow area under the seat. I am so done with Allegiant.

    Affordable tickets AND not having to deal with getting on the interstate or toll road? YES PLEASE! We have all heard of nightmarish stories of Allegiant and their delayed flights and failing airplane parts...but I can't say enough good things about my last experience. I flew out of Sanford into Memphis last Friday. My family of four went on a short weekend trip to Missouri and we didn't need THAT many things to take along. We each had a personal (free item) which needed to fit under the seat in front of us. We paid for one carry on which took care of the rest of the items we needed (additional clothes, shoes, toiletries we didn't place in our personal bag). Our seats were decent and roomy (I'm short, what can I say?). The flight attendants were all pleasant. Unfortunately, unless you have an Allegiant credit card, food/drinks are not free. My kids begged for a snack, so I ordered a kids snack pack which was around $7. It included one gummy snack, Goldfish, Oreos and an Allegiant pin :). I ordered a bottled water as well. The take off and landing was smooth as can be. No complaints! Our trip home was awesome as well. The flight attendant that shared the emergency and safety briefing prior to takeoff was straight up hilarious. She had quite a few (tasteful) jokes... and amazing comedic timing. I loved it! I highly recommend flying Allegiant. I'm a fan.

    After some bad experiences on Frontier I was a bit skeptical, but Allegiant went above and beyond my expectations. No delays, courteous staff, short TSA lines and an overall great experience. I will no longer fly Frontier with there long delays (waited 15hrs in the Nashville airport because we were told not to leave). Every flight I've flown with them has been a nightmare. I kid you not on a flight to Nashville the pilot came on the intercom and informed us an engine was not working, but that we didn't need it and the flight crew was beyond rude. We will be flying Allegiant from now on. They offer military honors. It depends on your current status, but as a military vet I got three checked bags and one carry on for free. When you book just select 0 bags for everything and let them assign your seats. When you arrive show your military ID and ask to change seats which they do for free if it's available. Also you can go through the priority line when checking in and board with priority.

    It's bad enough when 50% of the flights are delayed on this airline, but then the rude flight attendants add to the negative experience

    I was very worried upon reading the reviews on here, though decided to take the risk and renting…read morefrom here. I used a credit card for the deposit, booked the car via the Budget website, and took videos and pictures of the car before and after the return. My car was a 2025 Kia K4, a vehicle I had never heard of before, but loved it enough to consider buying one later on if I ever need a vehicle. The staff was to the point, very efficient, vehicle was clean, I drove almost 1000 miles on it, and was glad to not have any surprise charges on it upon returning it (via Key drop off as they weren't open when I was returning the vehicle). I also brought my own EZpass so I didn't have to use theirs, though I used Google Maps with the avoid tolls setting so I didn't have to pay any tolls. I don't know if I just got lucky but Im thankful if I did. Either way, take pictures, keep receipts, and preplanning may help minimize any heartburn mentioned in the other reviews on here.

    Terrible Experience at Budget Car Rental - Sanford Airport…read more I had a reservation for a specific car, complete with paperwork that listed the exact plate number, make, and model. Anna at the counter printed everything, handed me the documents--then gave the car to the people who checked in behind me. I watched her hand them the keys to the car I was supposed to get. When I questioned it, she tried to convince me a completely different gas-powered car (when my reservation wasn't) was somehow better, and refused to offer any upgrade, discount, or solution. She acted like it never happened--even though I had proof in my hand. It was unprofessional, shady, and a clear example of poor customer service. I won't be renting from Budget at Sanford again.
