!The Boat Breaks Down You Paying for It! August 2025 The staff was friendly and attentive; however they seemed overloaded and were behind on the scheduled times. Our reservation was 45 minutes delayed. The boat broke down and left us stranded for a good hour until help came but boat wasn't fixable so had t be towed. BE AWARE that if the boat breaks down even if you are not clearly at fault you will be paying for the repair. $250 per hour labor and whatever the parts cost. Also you are not getting any money back for your rental time. The boat broke down too bad for you. Besides the staff being friendly at least there is another good thing that I was told they offer 10% discount for veterans. read more

The girls were lovely and efficient, but the guys or rather, the "boys" in charge of the boats and jet skis were completely unprofessional and extremely rude. One of them even backed his boat into me 2 times after telling me to turn off my jet ski engine then giving me attitude. They made us wait in the no wake zone for over 30 minutes while helping everyone else first even those who arrived after us, causing us to waste gas and still getting charged full price for it. Very disappointing, especially since I've rented jet skis here before with other staff over the past few summers and always had a great friendly experience. Ok so we had a really bad experience here and we won't be back. This was our first time at Lake chelan so we wanted to do a boat rental for the kids. Check in was smooth and the staff was nice. When we got to the boat it still had so much trash and crumbs and food from the group before us. I know it's a quick turn around but that was really bad. Then I rented a tube for the kids and was informed that they had no tubes left for the day. Luckily a family finished early so we had to wait until they were done to use there tubes. So now we get the tube and we head out on a the water and the damn Bluetooth on the boat doesn't work and the speakers are Broken. Then after we finished you have to pay for gas. The gas meter on the damn boat was also broken and showed full the whole time. This was an overall bad experience. Avoid this place if you can definitely will try out some of the other places they have available. read more

Had a great experience with the boat on the lake however after filling up gas we realized they charged us a 20% tip on the gas without telling us or giving us the option to tip. We tipped everyone who helped us in cash so getting this secret tip without our consent feels scammy. We called them to rectify the situation and got a lot of attitude about it. Would not recommend. I do not recommend this place. They are neglectful, rude and dishonest to their customers. Upon arriving on a rainy, gloomy day in early June, they had agreed to give us the price of $85/per person. Leaving out the fact that they charge gas on top of it. I should also mention to keep an eye on the gas pump when they are filling up as they named whatever price they felt like that day. There is a huge and narrow corner that you have to maneuver through when taking your jet skis out which no one mentioned or warned us about. 15 minutes into jet skiing, the attendant came up to us to tell us that our friend hit her jet ski at which point she had no idea how or when this even occurred. When we returned they asked her to pay a $450 fee on top of the hour of jet skiing without an invoice/quote from a mechanic or cctv video to show when and where this occurred. While we were trying to figure this out with them, the attendant made racist comments at my friend, stood behind another staff, stared at her and laughed. When I asked him to stop acting so rude, he continued by saying our "friend should learn how to jet ski first". At which point, I think all staffers felt like he crossed the line. What was meant to be a fun day despite the weather turned into such a nightmare. As a business that relies on tourists, I hope that they place better guidelines, rules and communicate better with their customers so this never has to happen to anyone again. As for me, when I checked my credit card bill the next day, I was charged $115 (which is impossible even with tips) and an additional $18 for gas. All in all, $133 for 45 minutes of jet skiing (we came back early) and was charged incorrectly than what was agreed and signed on prior. read more

My girlfriend rented jet skis for us and it was HORRIBLE! DO NOT RENT HERE! Parking Sucks to start with and it's Dangerous. You have to run across the highway. Ridiculous! We rent pontoon boats several weekends during the summer. After 10+ years of not traveling to Lake Chelan we joined friends for a day on the water. Prices and policies between our options were very similar. Reviews for Jet Skis Ahoy had increased from poor to excellent within a matter of months. We also learned through reviews that Jet Skis Ahoy is under new leadership. So happy we decided to give them a try. Additionally we learned it is those who damage watercraft that leave most of the negative reviews. Renters deny doing damage. They thoroughly inspect each watercraft, take pre- and post photos to ensure renters are not charged for damages they did not cause or hold those accountable for the damage so they can keep their fleet in excellent condition. We heard of a guy who damaged a jet ski. He returned to the dock, got in his rig and drove away. When I grew up Lake Chelan was a small town where people got out of the hustle and bustle of the week and could spend a relatively quiet day on the water. Lake Chelan has evolved to meet the demands of a destination community. Visitors are often so absorbed in themselves that they forget it is locals and small businesses making their enjoyable experiences possible. Cheers to the visionaries, local businesses, law enforcement and first responders who keep Lake Chelan pristine and thriving. It is the quality of service at Jet Skis Ahoy who helped make a life-long memory for our family and friends. We are planning on making a weekend a Lake Chelan an annual event. Do not come here. The teenage worker who gave us the jetskis were unprofessional, rude, and neglectful. He gave poor instructions when getting us on the jet skis. It was all of our first times. The throttle is VERY sensitive, and there is a large corner you have to maneuver your way around. He did not give proper instructions on how to safely maneuver our way around, and my friend accidentally grazed the corner. The worker never said anything to us at that incident, so we thought we were fine. When we got back, our friend was slapped with a $450 damage fee with NO proof of damage. The worker also accused us of switching jet skis and then said he couldn't tell because "we al looked the same" ( we were all Asian women...definitely unconscious bias here). There was NO quote to support their $450 claim, and they threatened to get the police involved if we didn't pay (again, there was no prood) The people at the front desk tried to help, but their hands were tied due to their unfair and neglectful processes. They told us that the dens are just cosmetic issue and still safe to drive. Check in was at 11:30 and by the time we got paperwork done and the dock guys instructed us, we were free to go at 12:30 with an arrival time of 3:30... so really we got the boat for 3.5 hours instead of the 4 hour rental time. We even asked if we can come back at 4 and they said no. You guys should probably have your clients check in and do paperwork prior to coming in so we don't waste 30 minutes sitting around. read more

First they take a long time to register the Jet ski and when we got it it was in some sort of crash because the mirror was broken and it would always want to tip to the left as if the previous crash messed up the jet ski. When we where about to leave we didn't have our phones but the employee told us it was safe to keep it in the front storage compartment because only a little bit of water would spill in if we flipped so we put them in there trusting the employees. Then we where going about 10MPH and it wanted to tip to the left and since it was two on board it was harder to keep stable so it flipped and the front storage where we had the phones opened and we called back making a complaint and they said "we can't really do much because it was in your hands" (summed up) and they only gave us 10% off our next rent which is really nothing compared to the price of a phone. read more

Had a great time renting a boat in August 2022. Mainly just cruised around the lake and pulled the family on the inner tube, it was a blast. Customer service was great from checkin, to getting on the water, and then checking out when we were done. If you have a boater safety card, bring it, you'll save some time. Prices were competitive. On Lake Chelan there are not really any obvious places you can pull up a boat and get food, which I consider an untapped business opportunity. Very stuck up and entitled employees. We had a great time riding, but both times (when departing and arriving back) we came in contact with employees, they barely talked to us and didn't make us feel like we were welcomed to be there at all. They were quite confusing, and when we came back to pay for gas, the employee walked away so our payment would go through and never came back to say we were set, therefore we sat there for an additional 10 minutes just for us to be able to leave the whole time. Had a great day parasailing with Pirate's Cove! Wiley and Dustin were the guys on board. The guy at the check in counter was very friendly and accommodating. Can't remember his name but he definitely made us feel welcome. We originally went there for the $29 pricing at 11am on a Monday morning. Not sure how long that excellent price will last. Overall we had a great time on the boat watching the others go first. We requested that they drive us near our resort so our family could see us from a distance. They said it depended on the wind but I was so glad that they helped make it happen. The guys were so nice, the equipment so up to date, and overall had such a good time, that we rushed to the car to grab a $20 bill for a tip. They completely earned it! read more

This place is one of the first few rental spots on your way, while you enter the lake Chelan area. The location is a big advantage for them because it helps them rent out crappy boats. We recently renter a pontoon boat which, if put in simple language, wasn't worth the price. It was an old, slow boat with a lot of engine hours and really hard steering. Word of caution- while returning the boat do keep an eye on the amount of fuel they charge you for. Apparently all the fuel gauges in the boats are broken and don't give an accurate reading. They'll go behind your back to refuel and then charge you for excessive gas usage, that to at a premium price. read more

I've been returning to this business year after year and they will be the only place I will rent from in Chelan! I've been to other boat rentals and had terrible experiences so trust me only go here! Example from a couple weeks ago. We reserved a boat on a Friday morning at at the Time we arrived, the wind started picking up I asked if it was a good idea to go out or not and they were actually honest with me and said they wouldn't recommend it and found me a reservation for the next day! Can someone tell me what is going on here?? Did they get new ownership or what?! We have been regular customers for the past 3 summers and never had an issue until this summer. I feel like each experience gets worse and worse and now we will no longer be coming at all to this business. Let me tell you about this past experience that pushed us off the edge... We go up to the counter and I'm ready to fill out my paperwork and this girl with long blonde hair greets me with an attitude already. After I fill out the paperwork I hand her my cash payment and she gives me back the wrong change, she doesn't even apologize and goes back and starts talking about me to these 2 younger guys about how annoying I am. At this point I'm just like give me my change so I can go on my boat! We get greeted by a nice man for our boat and I drive off. We realize the boat is COMPLETELY FILTHY. There are ants, spiders, mold spots, crushed up chips, and ALL the chairs at the back of the boat were broken. Like I said, we have come here the past 3 summers & about 5 times each summer and this is not normal at all. Horrible customer service. Disgusting boats. I will never be coming here again. read more
