Woof. At one point I was asleep in the grass. Played 18 holes in 90 degrees before we went. This place is exhausting. We went on a Wednesday and there were more people there than a 7/11 on 7/11. However, it was awesome. Kids had so much fun. Hit the taco shack and we tried the fish and chicken tacos. Fish tacos flavor was killer, but not much fish. Chicken tacos had some kick, great flavor. I would highly suggest doing some research before you go. Cabanas can be reserved and are not guaranteed. Because of this, it's find some shade under a tree. Our family took a small vacation to Chelan this summer and coming to Slidewaters was on our bucket list. They did not disappoint! We got a cabana last minute because we weren't sure how long we would be there or how busy it would get and I'm so glad we did because we stayed until closing. Although there was a fair amount of seating open around the park, the cabana made the trip more fun. It was nice and convenient to be able to get away from the crowd when we wanted to take a break. The lines to the slides moved along pretty quick. The lazy river was the best! We could have spent all day there. Plenty of food options and the service was fairly quick and all the areas were clean. There's lockers you can rent if you're worried about leaving your things in the cabana or seating area. The staff are all incredible and always there to help if you have any questions. Next time we're planning on spending more than one day at Slidewaters. read more

We visited Thursday morning around 10 and the place was pretty busy. I saw that people had tents and beach domes set up all around the park. They don't provide life jackets for kids but there does seem to be a good amount of lifeguards on duty. The food they offer is your basic hot dog, burger, fries and corn dogs. The park does feel kinda cramped tho, almost like ppl are walking over eachother for space. I can't imagine what it would've been like during the busiest time of the day. I'm rating 3 stars because they don't offer life vests or other floaties but the grounds look really nice and the view from the surf location is gorgeous! So many great memories of Slidewaters, most of them before Yelp even existed. Spent countless Summers here while staying at our Lakehouse. From the ice cream, to the speed slides and rafts, this location has never disappointed. While I don't yet have children, when I do I'll continue the multi-generational family tradition of bring them here to lay down a blanket on the hill and soak up some rays in-between slide runs. read more

On a hot summer day, lazy rivers and water slides are amazing. Our family came here while on vacation to Lake Chelan and did not regret it.

It was okay and the price was $35 each for everyone over 48 inches. So technically if your child is tall you will pay adult prices. My family and I went there so total 2 families and we had kids ranging from ages 1-12. It was fun for all and they do have slides for babies and if the parents want to slide with them they can. For the first hour I didn't realize they provided life jackets and I was holding my baby but finally saw someone with one and asked and they are literally right next to the entrance. The food smelled good but we didn't eat there. You can bring in your own food, the lockers are about $8-11 and are a decent size. Also there is alot of grassy areas where you can place your things as well. My husband did hit his elbow at the bottom of the slide when dropped off. Also I hurt my elbow going down the slide because i had my arms at my sides instead of in my chest. There are slides for all ages sans I didn't get to go on all of them but it was still fun. It was SUPER crowded even though it was a weekday. read more

It's easy to spend all day here but you can also come after 3pm to get a discounted ticket and 3/4 hours is still plenty of time. I mean .... I'm a childless woman in my mid-40s. So my review won't be spot on for everyone. Came with my family and nieces and nephews. My sister didn't even think I would go with -- but I DID THIS. I floated on the lazy River. I did some slides. I ate a few chicken strips. This is the life when you're visiting Chelan with kids, yes? I don't really know and I wouldn't come back voluntarily but it wasn't so bad. I can see it being a great place to turn your kids loose and that they would have fun. They have a few levels of slides so that is nice. They don't have a big wave pool so that seems like a fail to me. Laying out here wasn't peaceful but that's what you would expect at a water park. I say come if you have kids or are with kids. Or skip it otherwise. Also seems prudent to buy tickets in advance and go whej they open. read more

A super family friendly water theme park. If youre in chelan this is a nice stop to make. My family visited on a Saturday in July. We got there at 11am & lets just say it was packed. There is the main parking lot but also have an upper parking lot. The down side to the upper parking lot is that you enter through the surfing area & unfortunately, they dont have ramps. If youre handicap & or have strollers or wagons you will be out of luck. You could either walk the long way to get to the main entrance of slide waters or carry the wagon (in my case) down a handful of stairs. The downside to visiting on a weekend much like any other place is that the crowds are quite much. Every single spot was pretty much taken. We had to squeeze ourselves into a tiny spot to have a place to leave our belongings. I guess arriving an hour after opening isnt a good idea. Dont be like me & maybe get there 1hr before opening to get in line. They do have a shaded area with tables for those who are buying meals inside. A pro is that you can bring a cooler bag (cant remember the size allowed) with your own food options. No glass containers or bottles at all. They have lockers that get snatched quickly, so instead of waiting in line to be out of luck.. dont bring valuables to the park if possible. But if you must just hope no one gets into your belongings. The kiddy area is super cute & safe for younger children. Most parents can sit out & watch their kids since the water isnt deep at all. The slides are super fun for teens & adults. The lines to wait for the tube were long plus add the wait time to actually get on the slide. Despite the amount of wait we got to go on every slide at least once. The lazy river is 3ft deep. Fairly small but you can just grab a float & chill. They have a jacuzzi at 100 degrees which was surprisingly full. If you love excessive heat you will enjoy. There are big lines for the bathroom & showers. But were actually fairly clean. I highly recommend you bring water shoes! The concrete was fire. I would also say to go 3hrs before closing as it is cheaper. My family should have done that since we were only there for 3hrs before we were pretty much ready to leave. This is our 2nd time to Slidewater this summer. The waterpark itself is great. Weekends can get quite busy. If you want a spot for your tent, better come when they open or come on a weekday. We started the day at the lazy river and it was very peaceful. We loved it. After a bit on the slides, we decided to go back since we enjoyed it the first time and holy moly. It was chaos. Kids were plowing into other people, swimming under people that were floating, fighting, acting wild. We decided to get out because it felt so unsafe. Lines were pretty long waiting for the big slides. My kids got bored of waiting so they just went on the intermediate level slides over and over. My daughter really enjoyed those and was so excited that there was a shorter wait. The food definitely was overpriced and very limited. The photo someone posted previously that included things like nachos and hot dogs is no more. Basically there's burgers or chicken strips. My kids thought the chicken strips were gross. By far one of the best water parks I've been to. We wanted to take a drive to a different area. We drove 3 hours and 30 mins to come here. Parking is free! The water park has lake views. It was such an experience. From all of the slides the purple haze was the craziest and scary because your in the darkness. Your body gets tossed around left and right. They have 15 maybe more water slides. They got this cool tube ride called tube blazer you can have 2 people ride on. That was fun. Beware of the thunder rapids, it's a little intense. Lazy river was a must. I guaranty you will have a lot of fun. They also have 4 different slides on the top that is all advance riders. Make sure you know how to swim. They have slides for all ages even beginners which they have intermediate and advance. I felt like a little kid again when we came here. Locker for rent at the gift shop. They are $3 for small and $5 for family size. There's a $5 deposit for the key but that gets refunded to you when you give key back. Lockers are located outside women's room. There's a lot of places you can put your towel and sit and have a picnic. They have a concession stand where they serve burgers, chicken strips, hotdogs and more. Staff is amazing and helpful. We came here for Father's Day and arrived 10 minutes before it opened and there was already a line up. No one is social distancing or wearing masks here, adults,children, or staff. By the time it was 2pm the place was so packed we felt unsafe so we left. If you are the type that don't believe in Covid then you will have a blast here. Plenty to do for adults and children of all ages. By the afternoon, there about 15 people to the hot tub crammed like sardines, lazy river was packed with people bumping into one another, toddler splash pool started to have stuff floating around the edges, people bringing in their own food was evident by carrot sticks and chips noted along walkways. Why did I give it 2 stars and not 1? Because it really is a fun place if it wasn't so packed. If you must go, go during the weekdays early hours around 10 when it's less busy. Also maybe wait till the whole family is vaccinated. This place is definitely not following any COVID guidelines. read more

So much fun! My three year old has a blast! We got there at opening and played with the sand on the volleyball court. Then we played in that pool area and toddler area. She loved the toddler area, especially the bullfrog slide! We never left those two areas and we were there for a good 3 hours with a small break in between. Price was decent and the views and surroundings were amazing!We will be coming back! The only downfall is it seemed to take forever to actually get in and also the lines for concessions seemed to take abnormally long. We loved this water park! As first time visitors to Chelan, our family of 5 had to spend a day at Slidewaters. Now that we have, I can tell you how to have an amazing day at this water park: 1. Buy your tickets online. Not only can you score some discounts if you buy early enough into the season, you also get to enter via the 'express lane'. It really does move faster. 2. Bring your own food and drink. The food is expensive, service is super slow, and the food is just 'meh' when you finally get it. Typical junk food: burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fries. There are tacos at Lakeside Surf. I wish I had known earlier. Unfortunately by the time I discovered it, we were all too full, but they looked good. 3. Get in line early for ice cream when it opens around 1pm and get the Maui Waui sherbet. It is delicious!!!! 4. Bring a fly swatter for the hornets that tend to scavenge for crumbs around you. My husband killed 6 today by just swatting them with his hat. No one in our family was stung so they're not super aggressive, just an annoyance really. 5. Pack lots of sunscreen. You don't need a sunburn ruining your fun. 6. Bring a pop up shade of some kind. That way you can make your 'base camp' wherever you want, rather than squeezing under a tree with strangers. 6. Check out their cute store. It is 99% clothing and accessories and it is really cute stuff. No trinkets or souvenirs. read more

This facility is awesome! They've created a 50-ft. wide standing wave. You use a shorter surf board, and have 50-ft. Of wave to do tricks, push yourself,and push the boundaries of the sport! Incredibly cool! read more

Had a great time & love this water park! We went over labor-day weekend, which made me nervous about long lines & crowds, but the lines moved along and we found great lawn spots near the sandy beach volleyball area, which was quiet and perfect for sunbathing. We had a Groupon tickets, so we were able to skip the line at entry and easy to enter the park. The lazy river was a lot of fun, although it's a little confusing as there wasn't a lifeguard attending the entry point and we weren't sure where (exactly) to enter, but we figured it out watching others. It looked like this park was flexible for a variety of ages, as there's smaller-kid sections. This park is VERY hilly, as in steep and hilly. If they cut some of the branches of trees up and cropped the tops of bushes, you'd have an AMAZING view of Lake Chelan that looked like an infinity pool in several areas of the park (if only the bushes were topped and trees cut from the bottom up in branches). I was surprised of the layout, as the main building blocks a lot of the view and I'd move that building to the top of the hill so you could have a panoramic view from anywhere on site. The body slides were kind of slow (unless you laid down), but the tube slides are my personal favorites and I loved them here. My son & hubby went on every ride at the park and they loved it. We were amazed at the sand in the beach volleyball area, it doesn't get hot or burn your feet! It's beautiful white and so soft. The showers in the women's locker rooms were dark (lights not turned on or burned out?) and not private, so that's my personal gross factor as I make our kids shower after swimming. While I prefer toilets over porta-potties, I was pleased there was a place to use a facility other than kids peeing in the pools! We'll definitely go back again next time we are in Chelan!! read more

I've been going to Slidewaters for probably close to 20 years. At least once every summer since I was a little kid - and even as an adult, I love it. The rides are fun, staff is friendly and food is good. I brought some friends last weekend and we were there and happy for 6+ hours. They even begged me to go again the following day. Food is reasonably priced. I bought a meal which included a corn dog, fries and a medium drink for well under $10. And for park food, that is very inexpensive!! Sometimes the wait for food can get a little long, but they have covered seating so its no biggie. Something to note is that if you want to wear sunglasses on the rides (which I wish recommend because its pretty darn bright up there), you need to have a strap around your neck to secure them. They sell them in the gift shop for $2 or so. read more

Its located on the side of a hill so be prepared to do some walking when you get inside the park. There are quite a few slides for all levels so it makes it fun for adults and kids alike. If you're coming for the day coming early means you get get your pick of where to set up for the day. I even saw a tent in an area of their lawn? So what can't you bring in? Glass and ice chests(coolers) but otherwise it's fair game so pack a lunch if you like. Otherwise the restaurant has standard fare of burgers, corn dogs, hot dogs and fries. You can get a souvenir cup with unlimited refills for the day for $6 or get it with your meal and pay the difference for $4 more. Back to some other issues that were mentioned.. gnat's.. Tiny biting bugs.. Yup, they get on you and the things are annoying when you stop moving but they didn't ruin my time. I also saw some wasps. So if you're highly allergic, it may be something to think about. My feet after walking up steep concrete paths all day.. After several hours, it's a slightly uncomfortable but by then, you've already been on all the rides twice so go work on your tan, sit in the huge hot tub or pool at the bottom of the hill and wait for your party to come to the same conclusion you did. We loved this place, lots of fun things for kids. The taco truck at the Lakeside Surf was a nice place to relax with a beautiful view of the lake and have some of delicious fish tacos after the main park closed. Really enjoyed the downhill racer slide, took all day to convince my 7 year old to try it, once he did he didn't want to leave. Definitely will be back for more than one day and try surfing as well as ropes courses zip lining. read more

I would highly recommend taking the time to go to this water park. Great size with fun options for every age - toddlers, preschool, grade school, teens and adults. It has a lazy river, fast slides, slides for young kids, slides to take supplied tubes on, etc. Reasonably priced and if you go within 3 hours of close, you get a discounted rate. That is typically the hottest part of the day too so it works out great. NOTE there is no point in buying tickets in advance since they don't sell out and the line for buying tickets and getting into the park with pre-paid tickets is the same. If you buy tickets in advance, you are committed to that one day and don't have the flexibility of going when you want. Also, be sure to check the policy with regard to bringing in ice chests and beverages. The parking lot is small and right at water park, so it's easy to go out for a quick snack and drink and come back in. Nice little park. Introduced a wave pool and an upper deck this year which has really improved it. Prices for food are still through the roof, and unreasonable for the quality of the product. But they do allow you to bring your own food in and I would encourage you to do that. Kids love this place though so we will continue to come back. read more

The grounds are very well kept and all the attendants were really nice. Most would probably disagree with me but I actually like that they don't sell alcohol on-site. I don't rate Slidewaters 5 stars only because I think it is a bit overpriced, specially of you are going with young kids who are not quite ready for the big slides even though they meet the height requirements. Tip: entrance fee is lower if you go 3 hours prior to close, which is enough time for families with little ones. You can also save money and eat healthier by bringing your own food and having a picnic. Plenty of space for that. We will be back for sure! read more

Great water park, considering the size of the establishment. From what I understand, they regulate the amount of people allowed in to prevent overcrowding and long lines. Slide Waters seems to be well managed and well maintained. I've been here a couple times now, and I'm always pleasantly surprised with the experience we have here. The lines are never very long, and move quickly. There is a decent food area where you can buy the usual burgers, fries, etc. Then a window off to the side where you can get your ice cream, smoothies, iced coffees, and even Italian sodas. If you make your way to the Chelan area and enjoy water parks, definitely stop by Slide Waters. Great for kids and adults alike. read more
