I'll start with the good…read more I saw a promotion to be a model for their new plasma laser offerings. I didn't think that I would actually get picked, but (surprisingly) I did! I got both hot and cold plasma done to renew my skin texture and tighten and also to remove some dark spots. I thought the cold plasma was slightly more painful during the process, but I'm not sure how strong my pain tolerance is. Overall, it was still very tolerable, however. There was minimal peeling from the cold plasma, and the results were amazing. My pores were smaller, my skin was more even, and people were noticing left and right. The hot plasma had a more difficult healing process. There were little dot scabs everywhere. I got extremely self conscious and read a bunch of stuff on the Internet that made me nervous of scarring, etc. In the end, it all turned out great and my fears were unfounded. Now the bad. I have been considering getting my brows done for YEARS. I finally decided to come in and had them done by Jessica. She is the sweetest ever. However, it was a complete fail for me. For the first session, I wasn't 100% happy with the draw, as one side was a bit wonky, but I was assuring myself that it was more about a more "natural" look and unevenness was okay. My main issue is that the tattoo did not hold. As the lines started peeling off, there was almost no color underneath. It was like they disappeared. They were so slight in color and blotchy. It was like I had gotten nothing done. I expressed my concerns and was told that it would be fixed during the touch-up, but for me, I didn't need a touch up. I needed a redo. On my follow-up appointment, Jessica said that she might have made them too light in color and that's why they faded immediately. She redrew them, and this time I LOVED the shape. She used a darker color and my brows were PERFECT. I was so happy. However, like a week later, the color was almost gone again. I mean, the color lasted like 10% better than the first time, but you literally can't tell I got it done. I'm still filling them in as I always did before this procedure, and the point of getting this done is so that I wouldn't have to do this. In my case, it was an utter failure. I've seen social media posts where they are touching up client brows a year later, and they look better than mine a week/month out. The only reason I'm justifying the money I spent on the failed brows is because I got the plasma as a model. I'm glad others have had great experiences with their brows, but this just wasn't the case for me.

This was my first experience with lash extensions and Erika's website put me at ease about the process. She had detailed FAQs about the application and the aftercare. I really appreciated knowing what to expect. On my first "Full Set of Lashes-New Client" appointment day, your eyes are closed for 3.whole.hours, so if you don't have a clue about what's going on it can be unsettling. Erika made sure to explain what she was doing, where she was in the process, and what different sounds were. No one wants to think they hear scissors near their lashes! Ha! That's what her tweezers sounded like! There was no "lash style book" or option to select your preferences when you schedule, so I recommend bring inspiration photos, so she can talk you through them. :) She also will respond promptly to e-mails with ANY lash/scheduling questions. The first visit I chose something really natural , but by the second visit we had discovered I prefer a bit more feathery and bold. She's right...they almost "bloom" in the 2nd and 3rd week; that's when your lash extensions shine! Her studio is tiny, but has a very clean, warm, and minimal vibe. You're able to get cozy with fresh sheets and blanket for that coveted "lash nap" or mini "therapy sesh" with Erika. HAHAH. Sola Studios has a lot of other independent beauty/hair/nails/spa studios, so you could book a total self care day! Parking is free and plentiful. I started with the cream of the crop of lash studios in Nashville! I tried another place ONCE and I've decided if I have lashes, I'm going to Erika. What do they always say, "Ya get what you pay for!" -Beautiful and clean private one-on-one studio (Some studios throw you in a large room with other customers and you hear obnoxious conversations and/or snoring-ha!) -A "welcome" goodie bag with lash cleanser, cleansing brush, & spoolie brushes -Dynamic, Natural Looking Lashes that people will admire and ask "Honey, are those your lashes?! They're just beautiful!" I just grin and say, "Well, I've had a little help!" I cannot recommend Erika enough. As long as I can arrange my budget to afford her lashes, I will.
