I'll start with the good. I saw a promotion to be a model for their new plasma laser offerings. I didn't think that I would actually get picked, but (surprisingly) I did! I got both hot and cold plasma done to renew my skin texture and tighten and also to remove some dark spots. I thought the cold plasma was slightly more painful during the process, but I'm not sure how strong my pain tolerance is. Overall, it was still very tolerable, however. There was minimal peeling from the cold plasma, and the results were amazing. My pores were smaller, my skin was more even, and people were noticing left and right. The hot plasma had a more difficult healing process. There were little dot scabs everywhere. I got extremely self conscious and read a bunch of stuff on the Internet that made me nervous of scarring, etc. In the end, it all turned out great and my fears were unfounded. Now the bad. I have been considering getting my brows done for YEARS. I finally decided to come in and had them done by Jessica. She is the sweetest ever. However, it was a complete fail for me. For the first session, I wasn't 100% happy with the draw, as one side was a bit wonky, but I was assuring myself that it was more about a more "natural" look and unevenness was okay. My main issue is that the tattoo did not hold. As the lines started peeling off, there was almost no color underneath. It was like they disappeared. They were so slight in color and blotchy. It was like I had gotten nothing done. I expressed my concerns and was told that it would be fixed during the touch-up, but for me, I didn't need a touch up. I needed a redo. On my follow-up appointment, Jessica said that she might have made them too light in color and that's why they faded immediately. She redrew them, and this time I LOVED the shape. She used a darker color and my brows were PERFECT. I was so happy. However, like a week later, the color was almost gone again. I mean, the color lasted like 10% better than the first time, but you literally can't tell I got it done. I'm still filling them in as I always did before this procedure, and the point of getting this done is so that I wouldn't have to do this. In my case, it was an utter failure. I've seen social media posts where they are touching up client brows a year later, and they look better than mine a week/month out. The only reason I'm justifying the money I spent on the failed brows is because I got the plasma as a model. I'm glad others have had great experiences with their brows, but this just wasn't the case for me. read more

Tanny did my brows & she was wonderful. I had a previous microblading done years ago that was already fading. I came to them because I loved the natural strokes look I was seeing them post on their instagram page, she suggested I do some shading with it since I had some remaining greying shade left from my previous. You get 2 sessions. My first session faded drastically so I was a little worried. But after my 2nd touch up session, they look to be healing fine & not fading so far. Fingers crossed it stays looking this good. I will update if any changes. But it's already been a few weeks since my brow appointment so I'm feeling good. Their prices is a little higher than another place I was looking into. But I'm happy so far with my results. First I would like to start off by saying, I really liked my technician as a person, she was very sweet and I enjoyed her company, however I can not recommend the service I received as the outcome was very subpar. I researched microblading and other semi-permanent makeup technicians for years and ultimately decided to go with a technician with Sway Brows - I felt that the before and after photos as well as the artistry fit well with the look I wanted to achieve. During my initial in-person consult prior to the service my tech mapped out my brows, however the pre-draw was noticeably uneven from one another. We re-drew them a couple times and I was told that this was just a rough draft and the actual procedure would turn out as intended. During my session there were certain areas where there was noticeably more pressure being utilized in some quadrants of my brows over other areas, this ultimately left some areas much darker than others. After a week post-service about 90% of the color dissipated, leaving my brows looking patchy, uneven and very abnormal looking. I went in for my touch up session and explained my concerns, among them being that my left brow was much thicker than my right brow, the color was much darker/cooler than my natural piment and that the color all fell out regardless of me observing the post care instructions properly. During my second session I could still discern that in certain areas of my brows, more pressure was being used than in other areas and again this led to some areas holding on to the pigment post healing and other areas completely shedding all pigment. At this stage I have uneven, patchy, dark brows that I have to cover up and fix daily with makeup. For such an expensive service + gratuity I was expecting a much better outcome. read more

Let me just start by saying this studio and the talent here is incredible. You will not find this talent just anywhere-- Trust me, I've looked! A few years ago, I had my eyebrows microbladed by a different artist during the height of the service's popularity. They faded as they should, but I decided I need to find an artist closer to me who would give me more options for longevity and a different look. Years ago when I did hair, I worked a few spaces down at the salon. Curious about the other businesses, I would look into the studio as I would walk by, but I didn't think I was ready just yet to look for an artist. I followed them on instagram but despite their posts of their immaculate work and satisfied clients, I wasn't ready yet. This past year I noticed my brows needing more effort to shape with makeup. I have hairs that grow downward and typically I was drawing hairs in with a pen, as if they were microbladed. The problem is, I couldn't wear them all day without them blurring slightly, and I hated the idea of having a day at the beach with my boyfriend and having to fill them in... I knew it was time and made the plunge to try out V at the studio. At the initial appointment, she asked a lot of questions about my brows. I had to send photos of my brows since they had previous work done. She filled me in on any questions I had and since I would be doing a combo brow with nano strokes in the front and powdershading for the rest of the brow, she let me know how it was different from microblading. She chose a color for me. I let her work her magic and she meticulously drew up my shape, ensured they were symmetrical and got to work. As she worked, she checked in to make sure I was doing okay. And honestly, it's not painful! I had my eyes closed the whole time and just zoned out to the music in the studio. I highly recommend Thanh's microblading services. She is meticulous and proficient with her brow skills. I must admit I was a bit nervous before our first session; however, I couldn't be happier with how full and natural my brows look. Thank you Thanh! The session begins by her assessing your brow shape by using a tool that measures your facial proportions. Once she has designed the shape according to these measurements she shows you and asks for your approval. Next, if you are sensitive to pain, she gives you the option to numb the brow area before her first round of blading. I have had tattoos in the past so I toughed it out and let her do the first round without. I would say it tickles more than it hurts but I also have a high pain tolerance lol. She is as gentle as possible. She continues to do a few rounds before the sessions is finished. After the first session you should avoid sweating, oily facial cleansers and makeup for best results. I returned about 2 months later for my touch up session in which we only needed to do a couple rounds of blading my new brows. Initially, it took me awhile to get used to my fuller eyebrow shape. The first week after the first session, the brows are extremely dark. After 2 weeks the color and size diminish quite a bit. I absolutely love my brows and their new fuller shape. When I tell people I've had them microbladed they are so impressed and almost shocked because they look so natural. After receiving my 8th laser treatment on my microblading/ombré brows, I was able to achieve 85% removal. The permanent ink used by Sway Brows is extremely difficult to remove. I also learned that PMU ink is difficult to remove because it is mixed with many colors. If your ink contains yellow, the ink is on your face permanently. I just wanted to update the results of the ink being used at this business. Furthermore, if Tanny or anyone is telling you that the ink they are using will "fade" in 1-3 years, please ask if it fades completely. If they say the ink is not permanent, make sure it is written in the contract you sign. Protect yourself from the expensive treatments that needs to be done in order to look presentable. My journey ended with an eyebrow transplant by an amazing doctor who told me that these facial tattoos are permanent. There is also so many times you can tattoo the same area without having to try removal. He also stated that there is nothing other than laser treatments safe enough to remove a tattoo. If anyone is advertising anything like "gentle l" acid or saline, make sure that in the contract you are signing, they guarantee removal and no scarring to the area. If that is not guaranteed, think twice before you allow someone to inject any thing in your skin. Again, think twice before you decide to tattoo your face. If you decide that this is what you want, make sure they guarantee the ink is not permanent in the contract so you can have the company pay for any type of removal cost. read more

Finally! I can actually say that I'm really happy with my brows! Thanh did an amazing job! I've gotten my brows done previously at another location but I was never fully satisfied with them after the healing process. Years ago I had the best brows...then breast cancer, chemotherapy and radiation caused hair loss, my brows never grew back the same. After 3 years of penciling brows every morning I finally decided I have had enough. I was nervous and had spent a long time researching and viewing images on Instagram on micro blading. I booked my appointment online with Ashley on a Wednesday for the coming Saturday. I received a confirmation and calendar reminder via email with prep and care instructions. This was great! When I arrived Saturday (I was a few minutes early), Ashley was setting up her space and we were ready to start right on time. We took before pictures then Ashley began sketching my new brows, we did a couple revisions then they were perfect. I loved the app on her phone showing me the alignment of the brow outline and that they are symmetrical. She let me know I should do a combination of micro blading and powder since my brows were so sparse. I want a natural look as I do not typically wear makeup. We were now ready to start! The numbing cream worked great, Ashley always made it a point to let me know if there was any discomfort to let her know, she'd reapply numbing cream. The entire process was 4 hours and I could hardly wait to see the results. I am beyond pleased. I was thrilled for the 'After' pictures! Ashley went over the after care with me and scheduled my 8 week follow-up. She also checked in with me on day 2 to see if I have any questions. I admired the brow work that Tanny, V and Kimberly has shown on Instagram and has been following them for many years. I was super excited to be a course model for micro blading and shade. Tanny and Kimberly were great. Super nice and made me feel comfortable during the session. In my first brow appointment, Kimberly drew the shape and did most of the work and students filled inside the shape. Tanny also did some of the work filled in the shape and fixed any issues with my brows. I was happy with the shape and how it looked. It took a long time, over 4 hrs, as to be expected since I was a brow model. In my second appointment, Kimberly did all the great work. She listened to my requests in getting a more fuller front look and recommended a powder combo as it will last longer. It took about three hours. Thanh is the BEST. I never knew how much better life could be with REALLY GOOD BROWS that you never have to touch up. Now, I literally worry about everything else in my life BUT my brows, and yet, I still get the most compliments on them! I believe in epigenetics and I sincerely believe that Thanh is one of those people born with hands coordinated for fine detail. She meticulously draws the brows she will artfully craft on your face first. After you both agree on the product, she begins microblading it to your skin. She applies enough numbing cream to make the procedure quite tolerable, if not pleasant. I came in pretty tired so I believe I dozed off a few times.
