The salon then asked me to pay a $20 deposit. I simply asked how that worked since I had already prepaid through Groupon. Would the $20 be refunded after my appointment. Instead of answering my question directly, I kept receiving responses that the deposit "goes toward your appointment," which didn't make sense because the appointment had already been paid for through Groupon. I had to ask the same question multiple times and never received a clear explanation. What really surprised me was after I called her out. She made it sound like I did something wrong by purchasing the Groupon. She said I should have contacted the salon before purchasing the Groupon because they would have honored the Groupon price directly with them. (See my screenshots) I don't understand why a business would advertise on Groupon and then make customers feel like they made a mistake. Requiring a deposit is no problem. Many businesses do that. The problem was the bad communication and the way they make customers feel like we had done something wrong for following the advertised booking process. Ridiculous. I ultimately decided not to book because it doesn't give me confidence in this business. My loss. I told her I would be sharing screenshots on social media. So here it is. I may consider deleting it if they apologize but I doubt they will. The person sounds angry from these text messages.

Normally, I feel like I need a fill around the 2-week mark, but this time I probably could have waited until the 3-week mark. I personally like my lashes a little fuller, so I decided to come in for my second fill today. What I loved even more was that I somehow got the same lash artist who did my lashes the first time, which was amazing! She remembered the style I had gotten before, and she did such a beautiful job again. She is so gentle and sweet that I literally fell asleep multiple times during my appointment because I was so relaxed. The glue doesn't burn or irritate my eyes either, which is a huge plus for me. The salon itself is clean, relaxing, and comfortable, and I really appreciate the little details. One thing that stood out to me is that my lash artist always lets me know that she's going to wash her hands before starting. It may seem like a small thing, but it makes me feel safe and reassured that everything is sanitary. And I have to mention the free goodies they give every single time! It really is the little things that make a difference and make you feel appreciated as a customer. My lashes look amazing, they last a long time, and the whole experience has been wonderful. I called asking for a walk-in appointment (thankful they took me in) and asked for manga style lashes. They didn't know what it was (most popular lash style these days) but I just decided to try anyways since it was local. So I walk in, pick my lash style, and lay down on the bed. First of all, they don't wear any standard clothes, the lash tech was wearing see-through loungewear. The places I go to usually wear scrubs or something clean. I lay down on the bed, no casual conversation, just seemed like she wanted to finish quickly. The lady proceeds to put the eye mask to tape down my lower lashes, but she did it too close to my eye and now I've had an irritated right eye for 2 days. The worst part of this was hygiene. Even while wearing a mask, her bad breath was seeping through it. If you're gonna be that close to someone's face for a period of time, you have to have good breath. But no, this lady was breathing out her hot stinky breath onto my face and I got pink eye. Maybe I should've told her to brush her teeth or chew gum but I didn't want to be rude. Another mention, the lady was actively burping in my face, and for her loud burps she would move her body a little but still burped extremely inappropriately. I felt like a fish out of water trying to breath every time she moved away. I heard some cutting sounds and tugging at my natural lashes, and couldn't help but fear that she was cutting my natural lashes. I asked her, "what is that cutting sound" but she denied and said if needed, she only cuts one or two lashes. I heard the cutting sound at least 7 times. All being said, I will never come back here. Hygiene and service are both terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here unless you want to get pink irritated eyes and lashes that don't last. It's been two days and they're already falling apart.
