I had my lashes done here 2 times. Every time my lashes did look great. Last Friday I had to cancel a couple hours in advance because I had to take my mom to the doctor because she woke up very sick. I called and emailed trying to cancel my appointment with no answer back. Once I heard from the lady who was going to do my eyelashes she said I will be charged a no-show fee. I told her I understood. What I did not know was that I was going to be charged for the full amount that the service would have been total, which is illegal under the consumer protection laws. Lots of positives here! First, it was really easy to set up an appointment with them by requesting via Yelp. I'm guessing I was messaging with the owner, Jessica, who was really accommodating and welcoming with my Groupon deal. The suite is tucked away in the Phenix salon building on the corner of LB Blvd & 4th. It's cozy, but has 2 chairs to allow a couple clients at a time, a little waiting area and a mini-fridge with oh so lovely refreshments from VOSS water to Prosecco! My appointment was with Angel, who was very sweet and informative. She asked me to show her any photos of what I was looking for and showed her my previous lash extensions, which were very full, long and dramatic. She did mention they were dramatic, but I can't recall if she said she could do them like that. My previous lashes were mink as well, and they don't use that kind. Anyway, because my Groupon deal was for a classic full set or a partial volume set, I asked her to give me whichever one she thought would be fuller. Angel recommended the partial volume ones, so less than 2 hours and a couple snoozes later, she was done! I do have to say I was hoping they were a little fuller and longer, but that may just be how they come or perhaps, I had less eyelashes for her to glue them on to than my first time? I also wish you couldn't see my straight lashes peaking out from under the extensions either. The last time I got them, the person selected lashes long enough to hide my long, straight, Asian lashes. Lol However, I do appreciate that they use glue that doesn't have formaldehyde in it! I guess they get it from Canada and will pay the extra cost for it, which is well worth it because my eyes did not burn like they did at the other place! I may come back for a fill...Angel did say that coming back for a fill would make my lashes fuller as she would incorporate a hybrid style. read more

Angel's done my lashes for about a year now and Angel will do my lashes until I die. The first time she did my lashes, she was super informative and very sweet. I went with classic extensions and she made sure I knew how to take care of them afterwards so that they'd last as long as possible. Now, we do full on volume extensions and they last as long as a month and they still look amazing when I go in for my fills. She's always charming and always has a mimosa for me. Proceed with caution! They took advantage of my senior citizen mother. I purchased a living social certificate ($95) for her as a special treat then advised her to call to schedule an appointment as indicated in their rules. She had to leave a message indicating she wished to redeem her LS certificate because no one answered her call. They responded via text message and referred her to their website to schedule a booking, but no other instructions or specifications were given. Since she is not tech savvy, I competed the booking for her and scheduled the first available appointment. The service was completed without issued, but major deception occurred at the end of the visit. The technician told my mother that she would be charging my credit card full price ($160) despite being informed from the beginning that we wished to redeem a LS certificate. Please keep in mind that I did not authorize the payment at the time of reservation as the website indicates my credit card was solely placed on file in case of cancellation/ no show. After I was advised of this deceptive practice, my mother called to inquire about the discrepancy and was told the business would reimburse the charge since she had a LS certificate which they were already aware of. However, the technician then called back moments later and said they actually would NOT be canceling the charge because the technician "wasn't covered" and only certain stylists are. My mother reminded them that she called to confirm any limitations before booking the appointment, but none were indicated. They still refused to allow the LS certificate to be redeemed. I don't see how anyone could knowingly charge a senior citizen nearly $300 between the LS certificate that will now go unused on top of the full price service and tip for a classic set of lashes. We definitely won't be recommending Lash Angels to anyone. read more
