Amazing and worth the extra effort to find behind the Walgreen and auto repair place. We were in town for the ACC tennis tournament and wanted to find some place other than Outback and Panera to eat. We Yelped it up and the previous good reviews were on point. Ate here 3 times in 4 days and were never disappointed. Shawarma was tender and savory, hummus creamy and not cold. Didn't have a single bad dish, AND the young people (relative to me) working there were extremely courteous, helpful, and hard working. It's not full table service but wish more people will leave tips for these folks. Will eat here any time I am in Rome, GA. read more

Nice aesthetics for a casual place (lights, wall hangings etc) We were visiting, and I'm glad we found this place! Being from California originally, and having visited Israel and Egypt, my food standards are pretty high. Lol Their food was very authentic, fresh, homemade, delicious! I felt like I was back in the Middle East! I didn't expect to find that in the little town of Rome, GA. We were pleasantly surprised! I got the traditional yeero and subbed grilled dolmas instead of fries- yum! My son got the kofta plate that comes with rice, salad, some grilled veggies on a kabob, pita bread, and lots of kofta balls (lamb and beef meat). Fresh veggies, amazing rice, all very good! I also got a Turkish coffee to give an even more authentic feel to my visit there (don't try unless you're aware of how Turkish coffee tastes-- very strong and grainy- not like American coffee.) They seemed to care about their food being fresh and healthy, which I appreciated. I was also intrigued by bowls they had. Would love to try that next time! read more

This place is great! The chicken and hummus is my favorite from anywhere! In fact, it's really all I ever order when I go there. I've been here several times and haven't been disappointed yet. The last time, they even came around with little tiny cheesecake bites for dessert. If you are anywhere near Rome Ga, you should try it for yourself! I saw how highly it was rated, so we came for lunch and I honestly cannot believe how good it was! First of all, the prices are so low- 6 bucks for a chicken kabob on a pita with a side. I upgraded to hummus for 2 dollars and they gave me a whole plate plus refilled the pita pieces for dipping at no charge. The gentleman behind the counter was so sweet and respectful, asking if we needed anything, offering to take our trash and gave us free samples of their cheesecake (also really delicious) The pita is like a little cloud and everything was so flavorful, honestly makes me want to make the drive again from Atlanta. OMG, I had no idea this gem was there. I have been missing out, and so have you been if you haven't taken the chance to try this place. I got curb side and the parking lot was full of the scent of delicious food. When I got home I couldn't stop eating the hummus, and the lamb was amazing. I also haven't had dolma this authentic in years. My mom got baba ganoush, so I tried a bite, and it was also amazing. The naan was plenty for the meal too. And the staff was incredibly personable. Just make sure to bring cash to tip if you're getting curbside because there wasn't anywhere on the receipt to do so and she told me not to worry about it when I asked how I could do it on the card. This is literally the first time it had sautéed onions and bell peppers with mushrooms included. They came out and gave us free cheesecake bites. And they have a white sauce that is to die for. Obviously we love this place or we wouldn't have been back for the third time! But I wanted to add something - we ate here last week and they now have ROLLED ICECREAM! It was the first day making it and they didn't have all the toppings yet, but it was so good. My husband and I shared one - chocolate base, banana mixed in, with strawberries, walnuts and strawberry syrup on top. Hit the spot for something sweet. To celebrate the Christmas season they were also serving mini Red Velvet cupcakes to the patrons at no charge - nice to feel that your business is appreciated! My husband tried the falafel sandwich this time and it was just as good as everything else we're had before. Can't say enough about the tahini sauce or how awesome the pitas are. read more

I have been waiting for Jerusalem Grill to open for the longest time, and now that it finally has I am happy to report that it is worth the wait! I have been twice now, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. My first visit was on a rainy night when the restaurant was fairly empty. I was just in for takeout (a gyro sandwich combo, which turned out to be delicious. The pita was fresh and doughy, they were generous with the meat and veggies, and the tzatziki tasted homemade with a nice, subtle kick. The fries were pretty good, though not outstanding, and a generous side serving.) The young gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, answering all of my questions about the restaurant and even offering me a complimentary Turkish coffee while I waited on my food (it was delicious - spicy and rich, the way I like it!) Came in again tonight when a buddy and I decide to try dining in. I had the kofka sandwich this time (beef and lamb with onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki) and it also came with the good-but-not-phenomenal fries. The sandwich was excellent, but a little low on the sauce. No worries - they bring out a bottle in case you want to add more. Food comes out quickly considering it's made to order, and I was so happy to see the place packed. I love seeing non-chain restaurants do well in Rome, and I believe this restaurant has the right ambience, very good food at the right price, and excellent friendly service to do quite well indeed. Jerusalem Grill also offers rice as a side on plates (as opposed to sandwich combos) and has solid falafel. This has quickly become my go-to place in Rome. If you're feeling adventurous but dining with someone who doesn't feel like trying Mediterranean food - this is Rome, and we have our share of boring eaters - fear not. Jerusalem Grill offers cheese steaks (chicken or beef) and while I haven't tried them, a friend assures me they're just as good as the gyros. read more

I was really looking forward eating at this place. I love middle eastern food, because most of the time it is healthy and light. This restaurant has so many good reviews, so I guess my expectations were very high. The hummus with chicken that we got was pretty good but the lamb shawarma was a little empty.
