This location is in a shared plaza with lots of parking. We ordered online and picked up our food. The online ordering was pretty easy and they sent texts from order receipt to notification that that the food was ready. It is has a cool open area with some cool decor. Lots of seating, I was able to pick up our food quickly. I enjoyed my food, the lentil soup was really good. I wouldn't get the fries again (they got cold fast) and the gyros was good.

I have been to Jerusalem cafe plenty of times and every time the food has been great! If you get a plate you get MASSIVE portions at a great price! Theres so many different items to choose from and everything I have tried has been delicious. The food comes out very fast and the people who work there are very friendly. I would most definitely recommend trying it out!

I came here for the first time and ordered Togo food. I told the person at the counter I had never been here, and he was very helpful. He not only explained what things were but also recommended things. I ended up getting a Gyro and a chicken shawarma bowl. I got it loaded with salad as my base. The tzatziki and the garlic sauce-so good! Loved the bowl and would get it again. My husband got the lamb Gyro, and he gave it a solid seven out of 10. It was spotless inside, bright, and decorated with pictures of Greece, so dining in feels more restaurant-like for being counter service. This will definitely be something. I am adding it to my rotation when I don't feel like cooking, and it's just around the corner from my house.

We went there on the good YELP review, and it's not too far from where we're staying for the night. The ordering was easy. They have large photos on the board, they didn't have prices though. The food, we ordered the Combo Kebab of Beef & Lamb kebab, lentil soup and rice as two side dishes. Also there's tzatziki sauce (hubby love that), and pita bread. I thought, our pita came with their famous hummus, but it didn't. The staff came back to tell us that. And he also gave us a bonus of warm pita bread with hummus, as complimentary. (Thank you!) We finished our plate. It was just what we're craving for tonight. The restaurant decor was beautiful inside, specially when you walk to the restroom. It's dusty, though. The prices were reasonable. The decor was so appealing, it brought us back to our visits in the Mediterranean!

Turkish Coffee is the best I have had outside of the Middle East. Also, the best Hummus in the Kansas City area.

Delicious! The Shawarma Sandwich Jerusalem style was 10/10 and the fries were great too, especially dipped in the hummus. I ordered delivery and the fries were still warm and crisp when they arrived. I will definitely be ordering again

The first time we came here it was phenomenal. The second time was just as good. The falafel, although I'm not an expert In tasting it or eating it. I can say this. It had a crispy exterior with the inside being tender, moist, and flavorful. The fresh hummus, inside the pita and the Tzatziki sauce. Thinking about it right now is making me hungry at 6:39 am of writing this lol My wife had the gyro. Which I had a bite of. The pita bread was fluffy and had mw begging my wife for another bite...I take big bites so she had to say no lol The French fries were fresh and crispy but we went there for the falafel lol The staff is friendly and they always seem to have your best interest at heart. The restrooms are clean. There always seems to be a nice friendly ambience here with people casually gathering for food. It feels like a nice family dining place. Even though it's not a sit down restaurant. It has electrical sockets to charge your phones inside. Cool luxury. I will come back again and again. Thank you chef and the Staff!

This is a fun vegetarian friendly stop in Independence with one of the largest lemonades I have ever had- and it was SOOOOO GOOD. The merch is cheeky and funny! The food was amazing! I got the vegetarian platter with spinach pie, falafel, grape leaves, hummus and the lentil soup and saffron rice! I also ordered rice pudding for dessert too. Not only were the portions more than generous, the staff was so accommodating answering my questions and making sure all the food was vegetarian friendly that I ordered! It's a great stop for fresh and healthy mediterranean flavorful food.

After…read morelooking through the menu and photos beforehand, I landed somewhere between casual and upscale with jeans, a button-up, and a jacket. At first I felt slightly overdressed, but as the evening went on the crowd definitely skewed more polished, though overall it still leaned approachable and relaxed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and one of my favorite parts was being able to watch the kitchen in action. The lighting and music might be a little challenging for some older guests, but we had no trouble carrying on conversation at the table. Service was on the slower side, though we were there to enjoy the evening and never felt rushed. We started with the spanakopita and grilled octopus. The spanakopita was excellent, perfectly crisp phyllo with a filling that leaned more spinach-forward than feta-heavy, which I really enjoyed. The octopus was fresh and flavorful, though it wasn't as much of a hit with the rest of the table. For salads, we tried the roasted beet salad and the watermelon feta salad. Both were fine, but on a return visit I'd probably skip them and save room for more appetizers or mains. For entrées, I ordered the lamb shank while my wife had the moussaka. Both dishes were excellent, but the moussaka absolutely stole the show. It's served in a square baking vessel and is rich, comforting, and easily large enough to share between two maybe even three people. To finish, we took baklava to go and stayed for the crème brûlée, which was exactly what you want from a classic version of the dish: creamy custard with a perfectly caramelized top. Overall, Paros delivered a really enjoyable evening with a beautiful atmosphere, strong entrées, and a menu that feels elevated without being pretentious.

Walking into the bright, tastefully appointed restaurant, I was pleased to see it wasn't the over-the-top, kitschy blue and white I'd feared. The maître d' was pleasant and accommodating when three of us arrived 30 minutes early for our party-of-seven reservation, and we were happily seated at the bar for a pre-dinner drink. As I passed into the dining room, I noticed the window into the kitchen, which added to the ambiance. The waitstaff were smartly attired, professional, and polished. Our servers were knowledgeable, efficient, and truly outstanding--it's been years since I've experienced such solid table service. For starters, we shared several plates. Unfortunately, our tasting board (an assortment of vegetables, pita, hummus, and tzatziki) tasted as if someone had taken a salt grinder to the whole thing. On the upside, the fried chickpeas were a fun addition, and the stuffed grape leaves were delightful. Three of us ordered the scallops and risotto for our entrées, and that's where things unraveled. The scallops were cooked to perfection, but the risotto was overwhelmingly salty. My sister took one bite and sadly said, "It's too salty." I tried mine and had to agree. Our father--ever the Midwesterner--finished his dish despite the saltiness rather than complain. I quietly informed our waiter that all three risottos were over-salted. I share this because I truly wanted to give Paros five stars: the service and atmosphere were incredibly enjoyable, and the wine list (with plenty of Greek options) was terrific. Sadly, someone must have been heavy-handed with the salt last night. I'd love to return and see if it was just an off evening--3.5 stars from me.

Chicken Gyro (no tzatziki) - Large, well-grilled pita with tomatoes. Simple and solid--this is why we came. It delivered for her--she was in a full-on food coma after. (4/5) Beef/Lamb Gyro - Enormous--one of the biggest I've had. Nice grilled crust on the pita, tasty meat. (4/5) Wish it came with diced onions, and the tomatoes were diced instead of sliced. Tzatziki is a bit thinner and slightly off from what I'm used to. But on mine, there was some on the sandwich and a side--hadn't seen that before. It actually worked well, kept the meat moist--without making it mushy--and let me add more as needed. Added sambal for heat, which helped. Kebab Platter - Mixed bag. Steak kebab was solid (medium rare), minced kebab was decent (in between), chicken was just okay. Rice was very dry--I think I noticed some sumac on top, but either way it didn't help. The salad was excellent--fresh with a lot of pop. Not something I'd order again, but if I did, I'd eat the salad with the rice and kebabs instead of starting with it. It adds the moisture and pop the rest of the plate is missing. That said, each component should stand on its own. (3/5) Overall: 4/5 Gyros carry. Salad and steak kebab were nice, but the platter didn't land. I'd stick to gyros or just do a steak kebab plate next time.
