When I go to Jersey Mike's, I never have a doubt I'm going to get a sandwich that tastes good. But what I never know about is the staff and the ambience, those have been hit or miss. Thankfully, this location is one of the better ones I've been to. It's large and spacious, you can have a seat without feeling like you're feeling crowded. The drink area is kept clean, the floor was clean, and I was coming in around 1 pm on a weekday, so that was a good sign that they pay attention to detail. I eat here probably 1.5-2 times a week, usually around lunchtime. Jersey Mike's excels at making sandwiches; this branch is no exception, always tasty, fast, and with a smile. It's usually the same crew of people whenever I go in - all very friendly, great at their jobs. And the case of cold cuts is always in immaculate shape. I stopped in to this location after a trip to the FedEx shop next door. I was hungry and was happy to see Jersey Mike's as I hadn't had a sandwich from here in a while. This location did not disappoint! It was just before the noon lunch hour and I was able to get in and out very quickly. I ordered a regular turkey and provolone. The guy handling toppings was very patient with my lack of knowledge on Mike's Way and added everything I asked to the sandwich with a smile. I grabbed a bag and chips, used a coupon I found online, and was able to checkout with Apple Pay! I wanted fast, filling, and relatively cheap- got all of the above from here. I went to Jersey Mike's for the first time a few months ago at this location and I had a wonderful experience! As I have previously stated, I had not been to a Jersey Mike's before. I didn't really know what to expect but the employees at Jersey Mike's were extremely helpful and I really appreciated it. The employees are super friendly and the service was great! For my sandwich, I got a ham and cheese sandwich. I don't remember the exact sandwich name but the sandwich was good! I like how Jersey Mike's has different toppings compared to other sandwich places. The toppings were delicious and their toppings are what makes Jersey Mike's unique. I look forward to going back to another Jersey Mike's location someday in the future. I won't be able to go back to this location anytime soon because I don't live in North Carolina but I will find another location near me! Have been eating here for a while and was not moved to write a review until I had this terrible interaction with the manager lady, who I presume is the owner's wife or some other relative. In the past I've never gotten a pleasant impression from her, all the smalltalk is painfully fake, but it really wasn't anything to sweat over because it's about the food, and Jersey Mike's is good. Tonight I went in after they had apparently done some renovations and ordered what I usually get. I sat down inside to eat my food, finished and was slowly working on my drink while I cranked out some résumé work when the lady comes over and surprises me, barking about how I need to wear my mask when I'm not actively eating or drinking. I didn't say a word to her, put on my mask, and got up and left. She did this in front of two other customers and it was horrifying and angering to say the least. This pandemic has made bullies and jerks more obvious and unavoidable than ever. Food service is an unfortunate intersection of that. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that these cloth face coverings we're all told to wear don't help when you're sitting inside a restaurant with however many other people. You know the risk involved when you walk inside. But, whatever. Even if you disagree with all of that it's absolutely no cause for her to behave the way she did. It is absolutely infuriating to be so degraded and insulted at random by someone I paid to cook. You don't walk up and bark at somebody and literally command them to do something at random because you think they're nice or well-meaning. You do that with people you assume without a shred of doubt are mean-spirited and are liable to do the worst. Her assumptions about my nature caused her to manifest into a demon in the dining all. As I said, I'm horrified. I'm not eating here again until she is gone with the wind. In all my time, she's least likely to be around during weekend lunch rushes, but there's no telling for sure so if you like your dignity and self-respect I wouldn't chance it. It is deeply unfortunate that someone can be so incredibly awful to people because of regulations of all things. read more

Also snatching our sandwiches while we were trying to help put them in the bag after paying. I love Jersey Mike's and this location is one of the best! They have a great staff at this location that are friendly and efficient. Everyone loves their hot subs but their cold subs don't get the recognition they deserve. Fresh sliced cold cuts Mike's way(lettuce, tomatoes, onions, with herbs and oils and vinegar) with fresh tasty bread? Perfect! I really like the Italian and the club supreme, both have tons of meat and a lot of flavor(mikes way with mayo and pepper relish). Oh! and the best chain BLT! They pile crispy bacon by the fist full on their BLT, so good. You could pretty much order me any sub on the menu and I'd be happy. read more

I usually don't eat at chain sub restaurants, but I decided to give this Jersey Mike's a try. The service was quick and all of the employees were nice and attentive. I ordered the jersey shore sub that came with ham, cappacuolo, and provolone. The white bread was soft and tasted freshly baked. It served as a good vessel for the meat, cheese, and veggies. The ham and cappacuolo tasted okay and wasn't the best quality deli meat. It lacked the depth of flavor of meat I could get from the grocery or butcher market. I added lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayo, and honey mustard. There was definitely a generous amount of toppings, which I did appreciate. Overall, the sub was just okay for me, not bad, but not great. This location has quick service and ample seating for busy lunches. read more

I am super nice and patient to every worker in the customer service industry because I understand, I've been there. But they don't even smile. As much as I like to support local businesses, Jersey Mike's is pretty delicious. It's my favorite sub stop on Hillsborough Street. I'm a big fan of the bread and the toppings - especially the cherry pepper relish! The $0.50 chocolate chip cookies are a nice touch too. This location popped up in spring 2013, and it's very clean inside. Parking is pretty good, but it can take a little bit to make a left onto Hillsborough if you park in the spots directly in front of the building. I found the staff to be pretty friendly. I recently witnessed a very demanding customer rudely give very specific orders for her sub, and the staff member was calm and courteous. Make sure to join the Shore Points program to earn free subs. I went to this Jersey Mike's for the first time today during my very quick lunch break. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and was expecting it to ring up for $7.25 as it was advertised on the big menu for all to see. When I got to the register the guy charged me $8.25. When I informed him of the discrepancy he stated that his price was correct. It was a long line and I did not feel like causing a scene over a dollar but I was annoyed by the fact that after I told him and pointed to the sign he still did not change it. I usually leave a tip but instead of leaving a tip I just said to myself that the dollar he over charged me can be his tip. In addition, the sub was nasty and I always order the chicken salad. It had an after taste which I was not accustomed to. I didn't have time to address it because I was with a group of people and we had to get back to our training. I will stick with my own Jersey Mike's from now own and despite more trainings coming up in that area I would not go here again. My husband called ahead to check if they had gluten free alternatives. the person on the phone was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The sandwich was delicious and the gluten free roll (plus gluten free cookie) were delicious.
