First time at this JMS in a while. Here are some thoughts: -Service is impeccable! Very friendly, quick, and nice craftsmanship. Watched them slice the meat onto my sub in real time : ) -Always fresh. I ordered the original Italian. Loads of meat. Had it "Mike's Way" which adds lettuce, tomato, and onion, oil and vinegar. Yes, please : ) -Don't sleep on Jersey Mike's. Great sandwich! Price is premium. But it is truly a sub above. I paid about $12 for their regular sub. Highly recommended!! read more

We were out shopping and I asked my kids what they wanted to eat and both said SANDWICHES. So Jersey Mikes it is!! Kids enjoy watching their sandwich being made and the meat/cheese being sliced. As you walk in, you are greeted by a friendly staff. The employees are courteous and kind. They were their to help guide you through the ordering process. You don't get that very often in fast food places. We typically get the side eye because our kids are distracting us (LOL), but Palatine JM set the bar high on customer service and very pleased with the staff. We ordered: 2x Ham & Cheese Kids meal (includes chips or cookie + drink) Regular Chipotle Cheesesteak on Rosemary Parmesan Bread Kids rating on their sandwich - TWO THUMBS UP The young lady who made their sandwich was very nice and made the kids were taken care with their meals. My sandwich was the..........BOMB! Steaming hot and made perfectly. It was the right amount of each ingredient. Nice warm bread with tender meat and veggies and melted cheese. I could go for another one LOL. You can tell the staff cares about their work based on how the restaurant looks inside. This location was CLEAN and SPOTLESS!! Tables were clean and nothing on the floor. No overflowing garbage cans and the soda counter was clean and clear of any sticky soda spills. We also had the opportunity to meet the NEW OWNER of this location. He was very nice to take the time to speak to us. He made sure we enjoyed our food. been going to this store for 5+ years. its gone to crap now. ordered online and sat there for 18 mins (total order time was 28 mins) waiting for my sandwhich while people coming in would get theirs. Big bertha kept ignoring my sandwhich order and when she finally got to it i paid extra for extra bacon and wasn't given it and asked for extra mayo and wasn't given it. i also ordered a warm sandwhich along with the cold and they took so long my warm sandwhich was cold and i had to reheat it in the microwave. horrible customer service and can't even follow what was asked on the reciept. would rather go to a different jersey mikes then this one. What's the point of using the app to order for pickup when you are forcing us to stand in line just to pick up our order? Placing the pick up orders in a non-accessible location where a staff member can only give you your order is ridiculous and a waste of our time. Your competition is doing this better. Your sub sandwiches gave me food poisoning. Now a full 3 days of being in extreme pain, went to the ER, staying overnight at the hospital. All because I wanted a sub from this place. Didn't eat anything after Jersey Mikes. Wash your hands or don't open up at all. This *** is disgusting. The people at the counter were fine, and really, it is a standard fast food sandwich shop atmosphere. But the food? While tasting good, was such a massive disappointment. I order the portabella cheese steak bowl with extra meat and extra portabella ($4.50 extra). The bowl I got wasn't filled (meat didn't touch two separate walls) and I got 4 mushrooms. 4. The food is consistent with any other Jersey Mike's, but the manager at this location is above and beyond outstanding. Super friendly, remembers guests names, great at upselling (but not pushy at all). Occasionally this place can get slammed with walk in and online orders and they get behind. They tend to prioritize online orders, so if you're in a rush, I recommend placing your order ahead of time and just picking it up. If you walk in, be prepared to be patient. But don't worry, they are hustling as best they can to manage the rush. read more

It's the weekend and we were too lazy to cook food. My uncle suggested that we should order in Jersey Mike subs because of its best sandwich and they accept delivery.  Uncle said we should try the #2 Jerseys Shores Favorite. We also order #3 Ham and Provolone , #14 The Veggie and #8 Club Sub. When you order you can say the number only.  The one who answered the call was a very friendly and happy person. She also describes the taste of our order whether it's too salty and too sweet. I like how he handles their customers. After an hour our order came. It's too long because we have so many orders. And I think if you order not much food it comes in a minute.  The overall taste of our order was so delicious. And my mom said that tomorrow we come to this store to taste the other menu. And take out some food to bring to my grandfather that we will visit. read more

Good food but it takes FOREVERRRRRR Went in today for the first time, was about 4th in line, however, the workers were prioritizing mobile orders over in person customers. Ended up waiting around 25 minutes.....and this was at like 11:15am, likely before the lunch rush. Food was fantastic as always, but they really need some more employees and another meat slicer. I believe 2/5 stars is fair because of how egregiously long service took. read more

Again, this morning stopped at 10:00 AM to get a sandwich to go. Not open - two workers in the back saw us - us being 5 other customers waiting - and completely ignored us. This has happened on several occasions and don't know why their sign says open at 10:00 AM and the workers will not open the door for the customers. A franchise restaurant can really be made or broken by the staff you employ. In the past, Jersey Mike's has been our preferred place for subs. Yesterday, however, changed things for us... This location usually has an upbeat, cheery, young manager-type guy who's always singing, talking to customers, etc. Service is usually pretty quick. On our recent visit, there were three kids working there. One guy was clearly hustling the to-go orders. The other two: human snails. As luck would have it, we had three tweeny girls ahead of us... they all wanted pickles on the side; then they wanted to cut up the bill into two or three pieces; then add drinks; etc. The J.M. crew was painfully slow throughout this ordeal. None of the staff were wearing masks, so as the dude taking care of these girls was coughing, I was pretty grossed out. When it finally came time for our order, first, the girl dropped the bread on the floor. She *almost* went to pick it up (to use it?), but she caught me looking right at her, so she went to get a new loaf -- shaking her head and mumbling. Maybe she was having a bad day. Now, for whatever reason -- and this was something I've never witnessed before here -- the staff was putting both the green order slip and the cash register paper directly...onto...the...food. For EVERY order. Why, in God's name, would you put dirty paper onto food? I was (again) grossed t-f out and wanted to leave, but we'd already waited long enough. Finally, we get our food, and the credit card machine flakes out. Having waited way too long for a small, simple order, I declined to leave a tip. The guy at the register hands us our sandwiches, no bag. (He specifically asked the three girls if THEY wanted a bag). I ask the guy for a bag, which he then proceeds to drop on the floor. We finally get to eat, and we notice the bread is different. I wouldn't say it wasn't fresh; it was just much stiffer and crispier than normal. We wondered if maybe it wasn't baked in-store any longer... In any case, hiring mopes to run your store isn't a wise move... so be careful! When we finally left, there were several folks in line that looked to be annoyed by the speed at which things were moving. read more

So me and the husband didn't feel like cooking and he wanted a sandwich ! So we order online for pick up but when we got home the sandwich where messed up normal we wouldn't complain but I didn't like topping on what was supposed to be my sandwich! Time to reconsider my review of 2016. The place has matured somewhat and recent subs have been superior. The Big Kahuna, on bread or a wrap, is made just right, but skip the suggested lettuce (on a HOT sub?). The Club Supreme has all the right balance for a cold sub - especially when cherry relish and pickles are added to Mikes Way. The crew is friendly and efficient, the guy in charge has just the right "Jersey Attitude" style that makes it work. Its now as good or better than our neighborhood location. read more

Went to the palatine location to get a sandwich for dinner last night at 8:35. The doors were locked for some reason. The workers were inside. Since the location is open until 9:00 I knocked on the door until someone came to open the door. The kid who said his name is Evan. Lied to me and said he closed the store early because they ran out of bread. I have seen him before and he is very slow moving, Lazy and rude when you ask anything of him. Man I love this place! Got to thank my wife for introducing Mike's to me. I just love their tuna sub with chipotle mayo on it. The staff is always super friendly and take great care to make your sandwich the way you want it. Two days after going to the Libertyville location and being incredibly unhappy with the attitude of the staff there, I was in this area and chose to stop here to pick up a sub for a late lunch. Boy, what a difference between here and Libertyville! I seriously feel the kids who work there are vastly over-privileged and fail to appreciate their job or their customers and it shows! Whereas here, the staff is friendly and appreciative and hard working! When I walked in the door, the ONE person I could see on staff was working hard and yet still lifted his head up to say hello (gee, was that so hard? Take note Libertyville! Not only was this guy able to greet me and say hello, but unlike your staff, he was WORKING, not standing around in a crowd of apparently too many staff on shift at one time looking like they'd rather be anywhere but their JOB). I said hello back, and walked to the counter to read over the menu board to decide what I wanted. As I was reading the board, the gentleman behind the counter excused himself so he could put the container in his hands away in the back. He was polite and friendly. When he came back, he took my order, and began making my sandwich. While I was waiting for my sandwich, another customer came in, and after waiting a few minutes, another employee came out and the customer asked if his order was ready. The employee asked the name on the order, and the guy told him and my guy stopped what he was doing and checked the bag on the counter and said, "Yes, here it is," and returned to make the rest of my sandwich. I did have to ask him to change gloves after handling the bag, but he was fine with that and threw out the piece of bacon he'd touched with the "contaminated" glove and removed them and put on new gloves. No problem, no attitude. He asked me how I wanted the sandwich cut (something the people at the LIbertyville location didn't bother doing) and wrapped up the sandwich and rang the order up. Nice, polite, accommodating, friendly. I couldn't have asked for more. I put a tip in the tip container to reward that good service (and apparently their hard work at this location is frequently rewarded which reaffirmed to me that they work hard here and the customers appreciate it), and thanked him and we exchanged "Have a nice day" and I was on my way. THIS is how customer service should be. Take a note Libertyville and strive to do better before you lose more customers! I'll be returning to the Palatine location for sure! They know how to treat a customer. read more

I was initially going to comment on how long the wait was on 3/19 at about noon. However, the manager explained that they were short one staff member and that the computer had crashed. They had over 20 online order tickets print at once and had many customers in line (including myself). Service here is always great! Everyone is friendly, helpful, and quick. Sandwiches are good as well. I recommend the red pepper relish for any cold subs. Regular sized subs are large enough for all appetites. I like the club sub and the cheesesteak with jalapeños and mushrooms (#56). read more

We ordered online for pick up on a Saturday afternoon. First of all they were out of white bread?!?!? Huh?!?!? My husband went in to get the order. It was supposed to be ready at 126 & it was 120. One of the employees who we think is the manager was acting like a jerk to all the employees & towards my husband , Talking down to him as if he's stupid. If your that angry towards people find a different place to be. Too much negativity in that place. For spending $30 on the meal we could ha e taken it elsewhere. Two stars because the food is at least decent. In part, some of this review is simply not being from Palatine or Illinois so take my comments in stride. I'm not used to being disrespected and ignored by a server at the counter. Illinois does rude and poor customer service very well and Jersey Mike's is par for the course! I was looking to have a sandwich for lunch in Palatine after visiting Home Depot and Jersey Mike's is practically right across the parking lot.  One of the employees opened the door for my daughter and I and we walked to the counter to order.  My daughter chooses a turkey and cheese sandwich and I picked the Philly.  I was impressed that they slice the meat fresh per order and while all the fixins of subway aren't available, the standards to complete a sandwich are.  The employees were very polite and the food hands down beats Subway.  I was also quite happy that the place had Pepsi/Dr. Pepper products instead of Coke.  My daughter also said that her turkey and Swiss sandwich was so much better than Subway and that she wished she could have had another.  Needless to say, we will definitely be back. My family has eaten several times at different locations, however, Palatine remains our favorite! All of the sandwiches have been excellent! read more

I don't come to Jersey Mike's at all because 1. They're too heavily priced, $7.00 for a sandwich is too much 2. I get terrible service both times I've gone. Today May 3rd being one of them. I walked in to get a sandwich a turkey and provolone, a man (that might be the manager) with a mustache and a baseball cap said howdy, I said hello and I told him what I wanted that I wanted a turkey and provolone. He asked on white and didn't give me an option of another bread. So he went back to get more white because they were out, I saw the other bread in the holder and I asked the curly hair gentleman with a cap on what kind of bread that was and he told me and I said I would take that bread instead. There was also a line forming behind me and I didn't want them to wait too long. Well as I looked up I noticed the picture of the sandwiches and saw how big the regular and mini were, I'm on a diet and I can't eat a lot and I didn't know how big the regular was so I asked the curly hair kid if I can make my sandwich a mini. He said okay and he made my sandwich now this is about the time that the mustache manager came out and said "You changed the bread and made it a mini?" He then threw his hands up in the air sighed and went back to the kitchen I said I'm sorry and he said he was just joking. I turned back to the curly hair kid that was finishing making my sandwich and I asked him if it was a big deal that I changed my order and he said "No, he's just joking." I told him it didn't feel like a joke and he said he was sorry and that he didn't mean to offend me but he was just joking. Driving home I felt so bad that I wanted to turn around and return my sandwich but I knew I couldn't. If this man is a manager that is no way to treat your customers no matter what they do. I don't want to made to feel so bad that I don't even want to eat the sandwich because he was just "joking" when it didn't feel like joking. Most Jersey Mike's are the same, but if you haven't been to one in the past, think of it as a high class subway with actual fresh sliced meat and cheese. Also the bread doesn't have that subway smell that make me nauseous. Even though this location opened up just recently, they were vey quick to make subs for my kids and amazingly they both loved it. They had the veg sub and toppings and cheese tasted like they were supposed to, fresh and the bread was very good. Did an online order and said it would be ready by 7:30. I arrive at 7:30 and they were busy with two customers no problem. Finally got up and said I have an online order and said the name, they did not start looking right away the one guy said check the name the other guys busy at the register. They could not find it so I said another name my wife's. Still can't find it. Had to call my wife ask her the details she said it's under her name and just that is a right location. The guy looks at the table that's holding the orders and sees it right there and said "oh here it is". He hands it to me and says "have a nice day".
