This place is absolutely terrible. It's outright disgusting. It;s Friday Jan 2, 9:40pm and got 2 luke warm, stale buns for my jr cheesburger deluxes. I also said twice to make sure, that they're going to make my fries fresh. What I got was not fresh, the fries were deformed, and you could tell they were absolutely not fresh. They do not do what you ask. The new chicken tenders, cold. Absolutely has been sitting there for a good time, you can tell. Just gross. I've gone to other wendy's and they have always made those fresh. None of this was made fresh. Absolute garbage. I could barely eat any of it and I wasn't about to go back to ask for a refund, I'm sick so screw it, I just won't go here again, period. I wouldn't feed this to my dogs. Spend a little more time and go to the Wendy's by the YMCA. This is one of the Worst Wendy's I've gone to. read more

When I visited this place was the best, friendly service, good food, clean restaurant. I'm not sure if it was the afternoon staff or what but everything tasted great and the guy behind the counter helping with the order was very nice and helpful, and even enthusiastic about our choices when we were ordering dessert. read more

Wow--I haven't dined at this Wendy's in about a decade or so! So very glad this location is still going strong! I hit the drive thru on my way home at 10:30 pm on Wed night 1/21/2026; there was a total of 6 cars in line with me! I ordered my usual Triple Bacon Classic Combo, but this time, I added a 4-piece order of Chicken Tenders with Scorching Hot Sauce! I had to pull over to the side entrance for about 3 or 4 minutes so they could make the Chicken Tenders (which was well worth the little wait)! I then drove into the strip plaza next door, parked in front of the martial arts studio facing Route 14 & Taco Bell, turned on HBO Max on my phone, and ate my awesomely hot, fresh, flavorful and delicious Wendy's order!! What a great way to end a late work night! I've actually been dining at this same Wendy's location since 1989, when I first moved to Palatine! It was great then and it's still great now! The fact that it's still doing a lot of business and has held its own since the 1980s, is a major testament to how well-run this place is! Anyway, I would definitely come back to this location! The drive through employee named Roodyka should be acknowledged for her upbeat and refreshing personality. She has an old fashioned vibe that I didn't realize just how much I missed that's been lost in this "politically correct" (insert eye roll) society. I saw an ad for the new jalapeño chicken sandwich and I knew I had to try it! We went through drive through around 8/8:30pm and we ordered the Spicy Jalapeño Popper Chicken Sandwich, as well as the Spicy Pretzel Bacon Pub Homestyle Chicken Sandwich. Both were very tasty and juicy. I must warn you, the jalapeño sandwich is much spicier then the other one we ordered - so be prepared. I am slightly leaning to the pretzel sandwich. The fries were REALLY good and I usually don't finish a large fries but this time I did. We also ordered the cheese baked potato that was loaded with cheese and very yummy. The staff was pleasant and took all precautionary measures for covid. I'd definitely recommend you visit Wendys and order the same chicken sandwiches - they wont disappoint! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I was at this location about 40 minutes ago and I ordered a large drink which was advertised as $1 and a six piece honey barbecue nugget at $3.79. At the drive-through I was told it was just over $7. I thought it was odd. When I got to the window, the $7+ cost was reiterated. I asked how is it $7+ when the large drink is $1 & nuggets are $3.79? His response was oh my bad. Then he told me the cost was $5.32. He gave me back $12.65 from $20. I looked at him and I said are you kidding me? You should've given me back $14.68. Didn't I do that? No. Then he got someone who opened the cash drawer and gave me $2. I'm not gonna quibble about the three cents that I was shorted. I can't help but wonder how many other people are being shorted and not paying attention to what their order should cost and the change they are getting back. I do not know if they can pull this on people using a credit card. However, I would urge everybody to be extra careful at this location. I will definitely not come back here. read more

This location is stuck back in time, when disinterested people serve up lukewarm food that often just qualifies as "belly-stuffers". It hasn't been remodeled since the days when they had a "food bar" removed and the wasted space could easily accommodate a self-serve drink station, which they stubbornly refuse to install. The decent items are rather pricey, the special "4 for" items are small and dismal. At least it seems clean and under reasonable repair. read more

My favorite place to eat in town! The staff are very friendly and the food was always extremely fresh. All the prices were also very reasonable and I thought this was some of the best value for the money in town! We were greeted pleasantly and our orders were taken without delay. After only a short few minutes the waitress delivered our food to our table. Our food was hot and well presented. Great place to grab a quick bite! Service was fast. Clean and sanitized place. The service sucked at this location. Rude employees at the drive thru. First time here. Last time here! I went to this location 2/3/2024 for breakfast. Not only were the prices outrageous for a 2 for $3 deal, a couple breakfast sandwiches and 2 medium sized coffees and a pull apart Cinnabon but I asked for them to add sugar and creamer inside the coffees. I got 2 bags., I thought the smaller bag was the Cinnabon but instead it was a bag with a bunch of creamer and sugar packets and 2 straws inside the bag. I was like WTH?! For the price I paid $18.27.. they couldn't add the sugar and creamer inside the coffees?! And they said they didn't have change for $100 bill.. I can understand that part but really?! And they didn't give me my receipt.. since they wouldn't take the cash.. I gave them my credit card. I should've gotten a receipt! I am NEVER going to come back to this Wendy's location! Our coffee's weren't even hot! The sugar didn't melt.. usually sugar dissolves when added to hot coffee.. the sugar did not mix well in semi warm coffee.. The speed of service at this location is the best. From placing the order to receiving it is truly fast food. Taste: the consistency is what makes this my go to Wendy's. I've always gotten my order exactly right and tastes delicious the same time every time. Courtesy: i think this is the most important a prime reason I am writing this. Always a smile and always genuine. When I was a kid I worked at BK and accidentally put a small fry in a drive through bag. Now, you can't reach in, take it out, and give it to someone else for sanitation purposes. So I explained the we're getting a free small fry. The person came back the next week and cried explaining how she was having a bad day and the free fry made her day. I just don't know what happened when I went to this Wendy's location for a quick dinner. I drove through the drive-thru at around 8:30PM. I got my food about 5 minutes later and brought it home to eat it. I was going into the bag when I found out that they only gave me two of the three burgers that we ordered! My son was eating his burger when he said that it was ice cold! I felt the patties and it was like it was cooked hours ago. I then went back to the Wendy's and they seemed a little bit confused when I explained to them what happened. After around 1/2 hour, (Now 9:15PM) I got my food and still after going to the restaurant and getting new food, it was STILL COLD!!! well, we decided to eat it how it was and decided to never go to a Wendy's location ever again from that horrific experience that I have ever had in a fast food restaurant. read more

I think this is worth rating but yes at the end of the day it is fast food and not my first, second, or third option. But thsts not because it's bad. Based on the service and food that's not the case, of course it depends what you're ordering. Overall the late night drive thru staff is friendly. Given that's the only time I go to Wendy's because there's only so much open at 12 am to 2am.. and Wendy's has so healthy options. I really enjoy the apple chicken pecan salad or the grilled chicken to go wrap. Both lighter, healthier options. Overall these are on the lighter side. You feel you can eat more but try to not because it is fast food. I have a weakness at Wendy's though.. something clearly unhealthy but yet delicious. The bacon fondue fries. And Wendy's dining areas are carpeted and generally kinda gross. But see, even if your average Wendy's is not 5 star- I like going to this Wendy's because they employ some developmentally challenged folks who might not otherwise be given a chance. This was very disappointing. I finally get my favorite fast food for dinner- there is one near my work and I love it... But this location serves super old food. It is soggy fries and dry cold cheese with skimpy toppings. I stopped eating half way through because it was so gross-which is unusual. That white part is supposed to be lettuce. I came here at 1115pm and ordered a 4 for 4 and a fish sandwich. Normally I wait to eat my food at home but they made everything to order and to me that is just awesome. Think about it, I ordered through drive thru which is suppose to be very fast and they asked me to pull ahead and wait 2 min?!?!? More than happy to do it why? Because my food was cooked fresh and to order. They were very polite and said while they had the fries they did not have the fish and since they had to cook the fish they would cook the fries so they were fresh. Awesome customer service. Ordered a grilled chicken asiago and got a crispy chicken and this is now the third time with the same person who takes my order it's either a spicy chicken it's either crispy it's never grilled which is all I ever eat from here so I decide I'm gonna put a call into the manager she answers the phone I ask her if she's the manager and she asked me "why" I asked for her name and again she asked me why so I asked her are you the manager she goes yeah why OK I can either put this on yelp or talk to you about it she will not give me her name and says they don't give their names out to just anyone but wait you're a business and you're the manager little confusing so I decided I was gonna leave my review here. We live close to this Wendys so (unfortunately) I go twice a month and pick up food for the family. This is the most poorly run Wendys!! Today I placed an order in the drive thru - made sure that the "specials" were listed on the screen. I go up to pay and am directed to wait for "a minute" for my food. 5 minutes later the food comes out and the employee just walks away - no apology - and the "specials" are wrong. I have to park the car and walk in to get it fixed. On my way in, another car in the drive thru is now waiting and she's laughing on how "they musta messed up your order" - I go inside and another woman tells me that they won't use the drive thru because they ALWAYS mess up. Being open late is the only thing this place has going for it. It's the closest fast food to my parent's house in Barrington too so I'm more likely to end up here than anywhere else late at night when hunger strikes me. They never get my order right here, ever. I always double check before I pull away and when I try to correct them or explain the error, they are rarely nice about it. The food here is about the same as every other Wendy's. They claim that their beef is never frozen and I'm pretty sure I believe it. The hassle me when I ask to add cheese to my baked potato most of the time.
