When I order from this location a hot sandwich I noticed that they make the hot sandwiches one at a time. I always have to wait for them to cook it. I always order on line and go by the time it tells me it will be ready. Then I have to wait 10-15 minutes later for my food. If you can't cook the meat for more than one sandwich then you shouldn't be at the grill. Yesterday they didn't started my sandwich until about 5-10 minutes after I arrived. read more

Terrible. Miscommunication and bad customer service. Asked numerous times about my hot sandwich. I paid for it. My family had finished. Went to ask if they had even started after five minutes like an nfl referee huddle with all the workers they said there was miscommunication had not made it. They said they could make it then. I asked to cancel it. I asked for refund. No real apology. Didn't care. There must be a reason they are giving a free drink and chips if you leave a 5 star review. If the next time I eat there there which most likely will be no. Maybe do drive thru they appear little more focused on that. We went inside. I love a jersey mikes Philly cheesesteak! That's what keeps me going there all the time! The steak is very soft, the bread tastes fresh and you can never go wrong asking for a few more veggies. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because you do have to wait a while for your food. Inside is much better than the drive thru. It takes forever if there is more than 2 cars. We were stuck in line and I sent my husband to mobettas. He went and got mobettas and a handles ice-cream before I got to the drive thru window! It was insane. The inside is a little tight. I frequent Jersey Mike's quite a bit. This has been my favorite sub shop ever since they first came to Utah. I have frequented many throughout the wasatch front and I rarely have issues with my order and never have had issues with customer service. That changed the last time I visited the Fort Lane location in Layton on 8/22. I got there around lunch time during the daily rush. I proceeded to the counter to place my order and I told a very pleasant young lady the type of bread I wanted and I asked her to put mayo on both sides, as I always do. She gladly proceeded to do what I asked and another employee named Dana, interrupted and said, "I'll do that down here" in a very abrupt way, implying that she would put the mayo on the sandwich when it comes down the line to her. Keep in mind, I get this order EVERY TIME I order a cold sub at Jersey Mike's because the mayo makes all the difference, and the person who does the bread and meat always puts the mayo on the sandwich for me. The first young lady politely confirmed that she had it and would take care of my request, which she did perfectly as usual. She then passed my sandwiches to Dana who was to put the condiments on the sandwiches for me. Again, I frequent Jersey Mike's all the time, so I'm a pro with these orders. Dana proceeded to make this the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had at any Jersey Mike's restaurant. She asked what I wanted on my sub and I said I wanted everything except jalapeños and pickled peppers. While trying to fill my request, she was very rude, to the point that I mentioned speaking to a manager. When I did this, she spoke to a man behind her that I thought was a manager, but then she eventually came back to making my sandwich. It wasn't until later that I learned he was not a manager at all. After she came back, she put pickled peppers on my sandwich that I didn't want. When I told her I didn't want them, she was visibly upset about it because she had to remove them. All the while, her body language was very off-putting and her customer service was completely absent. By this time the line was wrapped around the store and it felt like all eyes were on me because of this situation. After about five minutes of her trying to get my sandwiches together, she asked in a condescending and passive aggressive way if she should get a manager or if she was doing anything wrong. I said, "Yes, please get a manager." This time a taller, female that I recognize from coming to the shop many times before, came to help. I told her what I asked Dana to put on my sandwiches. She was very pleasant, like the first young lady. She removed the pickled peppers (which Dana still hadn't removed) and added the relish. She exhibited the customer service I have come to expect from Jersey Mike's. Even though she corrected the situation, I still haven't felt comfortable enough to return to this location. This is horrible for me because I really enjoy these subs and this shop is convenient. Customer service in the food industry is a big deal. Often times, I add a tip when paying for my order. This time, I felt like I was owed money. I commend the young managers for committing to uphold customer service and I hope at the very least Dana is written up. She needs to understand the importance of her role and how her personal biases or feelings or whatever it may be can negatively affect a customer's experience and ultimately the business. read more

We love Jersey Mike's! You really can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches. I love how easy it is for me to place an order through the app. My only complaint would be the wait time. The app said our food would be ready at 5:31, but we waited in the lobby until 6:05. We only order food from here when we aren't in a hurry. I've been seeing Jersey Mike's popping up around the valley but hadn't tried one until last night. It was a Friday night, the kids were hungry, so we needed food pretty quickly to prevent hangry bellies from ruling the night. I downloaded the app, placed my order, and the food was ready within 15 minutes for pick up. The sandwich's were big and tasty. I have and 8 and 9 year old who shared one sandwich with some left over. The location on Fort Lane is easy to access but the parking lot is a bit crowded next to Swig and Mo Betah. Not sure who designed the parking lot, but it worked out. Next time I want to try the giant size to share. Seems like a good way to feed the family read more

Food is always good. The down side is ordering through the drive through takes a half hour minimum if there are more than 2 cars. If you order on the app give at least 20 more minutes than it says during dinner or lunch times. They get backed up and they are not able to meet the time table specified in the app. In short great food but not if you are expecting quick service. read more

Avoid this location like the plague I had two online orders and they gave me a time that it should be ready so I was there 15 minutes early so I got to the speaker box and I told him I'm a little bit early. There was this young kid who walked to the window and he saw me there, looked at me and walked away, so I thought OK weird so I honked my horn and he finally comes to the window and I'm like it takes 20 minutes to finish up my order of two sandwiches and he's like oh they're finishing it up right now. I'll be right back 15 minutes later never came back. Don't know what's going on. It wasn't even busy inside this location so again, I honked my horn and the kid comes to the window and he looks at me but doesn't open the window. He walks away like he's a little scared so I honked again and he opened the door. I'm like you need to be retrained the Customer Service because you can't just say come to the window it's being wrapped up right now and then don't acknowledge a customer at the window. He's like I'm so sorry I'm like and then you saw me after I honked and walked away and then he's like oh I'm sorry my bad blah blah blah. I told him he needs to be retrain or just don't be in Customer Service and then a manager comes over. She's like can I help you with something? I explained to her my order was supposed to be ready like 30 minutes ago so she gives me some bull crap story gives me two cards for a buy one get one free why would I want to invest more money into the company for two free sandwiches and they were expired by the way so finally got my order and they actually made it wrong. Ordered online 5 sandwiches. The app told me to show up 20 minutes after my order was placed, I opted to show up 30 minutes later. They didnt start my order until after i showed up and still had to wait literally 30 minutes in store for my order to be finished. I had 4 guys on the clock in the company truck outside, this order costs an additional 60-80$ in man hours just to wait for my food. It was extremely slow inside, im visiting utah and the customer service around here is a joke. Cant wait to leave. read more

I usually love Jersey mikes, at least the ones I've been to in California. This one on the other hand is a diff story, at least when ordering in their app. I guess since they know you won't see it until you get home because they short you on the meat. Last time I ordered a giant sub and when I got home it had less meat than a large just spread out. I can't usually finish one in one meal but had no problem with this one. If you want to get a sub from them (at least at this location) go inside and order so you can watch them make it. I will no longer use the app to order. It may be convenient but I'd rather wait and not get ripped off. I hope the manager sees this and does something about it. I'll go to a diff location from here on. I also hope future customers read this and avoid this store. read more

However I ordered a simple #8 club sub and it was missing the bacon that comes with it. One star for at least getting a sandwich. Went to get subs for lunch and asked for my Italian sandwich to be grilled. Employee refused my request and said that they could not grill my sandwich because it would be "contaminated" from the raw meat that they use the grill to cook the meat with. All other locations have never refused this simple request. Furthermore, there were at least 8-10 workers behind the counter that seemed unaware of what their responsibilities were. read more

I did not get their orders till 12:35pm MST. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.
