It's been difficult finding a good Italian sandwich (where We are from we call it a grinder, but I digress...) in this area. Tonight we decided to check out Jersey Mike's, and we are very happy that we did. We had The Original Italian. The meats were sliced while I watched, and the veggies were fresh. There was plenty of both, and they were on the best grinder roll I've had north of the New Haven area. We will definitely be back again soon. read more

Jersey Mike's in Keene is yummy! Subway wishes they were this good. The Classic Italian and Turkey Subs are my absolute favorites--always delicious. It's not a place to sit and enjoy your meal as it's very noisy and a bit messy (just because it's busy). People that work there seem to keep their cool when it gets very busy. I went to the jersey mikes located in West Leb New Hampshire. And I was very very pleased. Very bright and polite staff. Good amount of attention to detail. And over all it was a great experience. Incredibly slow. I've ordered ahead and still sat in the building for 45 minutes to get my food. Employees don't really bother to announce orders as they come out either or get annoyed if you go to the pickup shelf yourself. read more

It seems like for a little bit they were doing OK but again they messed up. I'm allergic to tomatoes and purposely put no tomatoes on my food. What did they do? They put tomatoes on my food. Then they drowned our subs and oil which we put no oil. My fiancé wanted tomatoes what did they do? They put no tomatoes then I got a sub that was supposed to have bacon no bacon I called up and talked to the customer service person or the person at the store just to get an attitude and say oh we have new people and we make mistakes but the problem is is if you trained your staff properly and stuck with them there wouldn't be no mistake mistakes you would be able to catch that before it happens again. This place is horrible. They don't understand what they're doing and they point the fingers and blame it on everybody else again I will give you a one star report. read more

Been by a lot of Jersey Mike's stores in my travels and never stopped in, thinking it would be just be typical fast food junk. Visiting family in Keene this week and decided to finally give this place a try. I can't believe I've never stopped in one of these stores! I had an original Italian sandwich and it was an amazingly delicious sandwich, definitely the best chain sandwich I've ever had and pretty close to being better than some local places. The staff was friendly, great suggestions and patiently explained what "Mike's way" is and why it's a great place to start for my first sandwich there. The place was clean, employees friendly and outgoing, lots of people there for mid-afternoon on New Year's Eve! Others mentioned that they found this place to be expensive, but I didn't see a whole lot of difference in cost with other sandwich places. For what I got, it was better priced than Subway (which is way inferior). I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Keene! read more

The young man making one of our sandwiches failed to cut the sandwich cleanly in fourths and when I was back in the car, I took the first quarter out if the bag and the entire bottom slice of bread came sliding out and I ended up with tomatoes, onion and sandwich makings all over the front seat of my car. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and because I'd left without a receipt he said I couldn't get a refund and by then I was in no mood to get a replacement sandwich. I've reached out through the app three times to their corporate offices to report the problems and they still don't fix them. Clearly the owners of this location don't care about customer service or they would do a better job of staffing a restaurant and displaying their care for their customers. First time at a Jersey Mike's. No doubt, their sub is noticeably heavier contentwise than my neighborhood sub shop's offering. But also much more expensive. On the plus side is the fresh preparation of the meat and cheese content. That the sandwich is built on two separated halves of bread allows them to stack on the toppings. On the minus side [along with the price factor] is the dripping mess that results if not consumed quickly. Oh, and they dont have the capability to toast the bread beforehand. An untoasted sub in New England? A major fail for me. I get JM's attempt at building a better mousetrap, but I cant imagine the wait if it were busy. Best to call ahead? I just got fired from my job here due to my " attendance issues " I'm 17 and have medical conditions. The manager truly does not care about his employees. They let me go the day before Easter also because they needed morning availability which they did not asked me if I had before letting me go. It's really pricey for lunch ($39 for a regular and giant sub, 2 bags of chips, 3 drinks and a small tip). But...it's the only sandwich joint I've been to with gluten free rolls, so I had my first sub sandwich in years. I could've cried. It was delicious. I'll pay that money any time to eat another sub. Been a few times now. Subs are fine. No problem with the sandwich. Cost is a bit too high however. Had hoped to get beyond that concern by going back a few times to see if the subs themselves could compensate for it but couldn't. I don't care for the way that the credit card machine looks for you to tip the person making the sandwich either. Haven't seen that elsewhere but perhaps not unique to this establishment. My latest visit is what really prompted the review. My young daughter wanted a sandwich with turkey and ham. The sandwich maker said no, she couldn't do that and had to choose. The place looks clean and the food is fresh and the sandwiches are good if you like soggy, drippy sandwiches. I have been there many times and the staff, fails to deliver a sandwich that isn't soggy and dripping with oil and vinagar no matter how many times I ask. I specifically ask them to please only go across my sandwich once, yet, they still do their rote habit of going back and forth 3 times (6 total passes of oil and 6 of vinagar). If you get take out be sure you go somehere you can wash your hands and face and bring your own pile of napkins. (A bib would help too.) I'm literally giving up with them. Honestly, and I don't mean to sound over dramatic, I would proudly get in a fist fight over this sandwich. I placed my standard order (roast beef, provolone, tomatoes, pickles, banana peppers, oil, and salt and pepper) The beef was nice and rare. Very fresh and sliced to the perfect thickness. The veggies were crisp and refreshing. There was enough of a crunch in the sub that I didn't even put my potato chips inside it and that is saying something. Friendly fast and clean. This location is efficient and consistent. Seating area is compact. I think what takes JM's above the rest is that the cold cuts are freshly sliced so theyre not all dried out. Also the signature oil and vinegar works well. I drove a half hour out of my way to get Jersey Mikes. I ordered a giant sub, a soda, and bag of chips. I got charged for mine plus the guy behind me!! So 29$ later When I asked for a receipt the girl says oh I charged you for his mini sub. So she could only give me back cash. And still didn't give me my receipt. Turns out she handed the receipt for the 7$ refund instead. Then I fill my soda with root beer and Leave, annoyed already. On my way home I'm drinking my soda and they must have switched the syrups. I got cream soda. Gross!!! Then my sandwich was soo wet it was falling apart. Like it got dipped in water. Overall terrible experience. Super annoying!!
