This a typical Five Guys franchise restaurant (a lot of interesting history if you wanna google it). Anyways..average speed of service and quality. The only difference with this restaurant is that one of the employee made a really inappropriate comment in front of my girlfriend and we're assuming his supervisor. The situation isn't very healthy. It's pretty concerning when you just trying to order food and get harassed sexually. One thing I have noticed about this restaurant is that the speed of service doesn't change much whether they're busy or you're the only one in there (I literally have been the only person in there with 5 employees and still takes forever). This is really good fast food. The staff is friendly and efficient. Our order taker left her post and started to clean tables when there wasn't a line. I was able to get a small cheese burger which was just about perfect for our late lunch. The fries delivered as well. So you have to wait a bit for your food to come up. It's worth it. We grabbed some peanuts and chomped on those. The place was pretty busy for 2PM on a Saturday. People must know a good thing when they see it. read more

Couple steps above the fast food chains in the area. Not an extremely good area for business. The fries have potato skins on them which is more of a rustic potato feel but i don't really like them. The burgers made to order are really good but i feel like its so easy to forget something that you want on your burger plus i feel like condiments are a product of taste. So i could say ketchup but how much ketchup people put on is a product of how people's preferences. This is more a comment of all Five Guys not just this one. The people that work here are pretty nice overall, it helps that we know most of the people that work here I guess. Burgers are more overdone by a little than what you order because obviously they don't want you getting sick or a wet bun from meat that isn't cooked all the way through. read more

The place used to be good, but it has steadily gone downhill. At one time, you could place your order and know that it'll be made correctly. The past few months have shown a decline: the patties look smaller and in the past few months, orders were missing sides such as cheese, bacon, patties. All items that customers pay more for. Alright, kind of a long story, but here goes. My boyfriend and I ordered Five Guys through door dash and decided to get a strawberry shake to split. We immediately noticed it didn't taste right, then we realized it was salty as hell. Pretty unusual for a milkshake to be salty. I decided to call Five Guys to let them know so they didn't serve anyone else a salty milkshake by accident. The manager was incredibly nice, and said that they fresh slice their strawberries and toss them in sugar. Once in a while someone messes up and tosses them in salt. yup, that's definitely what happened. He took my info down but I told him I didn't want a refund or anything, just wanted them to be aware. Fast forward 30 mins and the manager of the store is in our driveway personally delivering two fresh strawberry milkshakes to our front door along with another apology. with everything going on in the world right now I thought I'd share a story of kindess and positivity. I avoided this place for years because there wasn't one near me and I had a suspected peanut allergy. You should definitely NOT go here if you are allergic to peanuts. But it turned out I'm not and we were in the neighborhood and needed lunch. I long ago decided that McD's, BK, KFC and Taco Bell were practically poison and will never return, but I like a good burger and fries. The food was awesome and there were many burger options. The staff was very helpful and friendly and walked us through our first experience there. My wife and I got custom made burgers, exactly the way we wanted them, with real beef. The fries were not greasy shoelace fries, but classic diner/malt shop fries with heft and real potato taste. The shakes did not taste artificial like at most fast food joints. I actually had bits of strawberry in mine, and there were flavor options one typically only sees in an ice cream shoppe. The free peanuts while we waited was a welcome nuance. I tried Five Guys for the first time out in California, and totally didn't get all the hype. But the mister and I were starving and had no food in the house, nor any way to cook said mythical food, so we headed off towards where we knew some fast food joints were. We were about to grumpily settle for Wendy's when Five Guys popped into view, and we figured they had to be better or at least more interesting, so in we went. Well, we've eaten there three times in the past week, so that pretty much speaks for itself! The burgers are always well-done (I was politely told to stuff it when I asked if I could get one pink) and so a condiment or cheese is a must. Salt, too; for a salt fiend like me, mustard and pickle isn't enough so I grab salt packets while I wait to sprinkle between the patties. The jalapenos are fresh, not pickled, so be prepared for an delicious ass-kicking. The price seems a bit steep for what you get, but if you order fries, they toss in enough to make you groan. Speaking of fries, while you wait watch the assembly line; it's a thing of beauty. Despite all the customization, our orders have never been wrong, thanks to their organization and repeat checking, and the fry guy at the end is constantly dunking fresh baskets of fries as the orders come in, not just the par-cooked ones you see lined up but actually finishing them off to order. Amazing when you consider how other joints let them sit around and get cold! It's not the quickest because they're cooking to order, and there's no drive-thru, but for a casual burger and fries that even a picky little hamkey will eat, it's a real gem. read more

Had lunch here Saturday with my son. My first impression left me underwhelmed. I really can't see why people are rating this place five stars. I understand the fact that when food is cooked to order, it will be slow. I'm ok with that. We both ordered the bacon double cheeseburgers and truth be told, they were fair. Nothing special other than you can have your choice of toppings. Burger King does the same thing just without mushrooms. French fries came in a cup which was served upside down in the bag on top of our burgers. Perhaps the fry cook used to work at the place where they serve frappes upside down and got confused ? Which made me think; Why bother with the cup ? You could shave a few seconds off the customers wait time by just dumping the fries in the bag. While I'm talking about fries, I did see a literal wall of uncooked fries thawing out in baskets hovering over fryers. Now I'm no junk food junkie but it's my opinion fries need to go into the dryer frozen. That way the outside gets crispy and the inside stays soft. Otherwise you get soggy, greasy fries. Which is exactly what we got. There are no trays for your food here either, just paper sacks Drinks are self serve except for bottled water and figuring out how to work the beverage dispenser will keep your mind off how long it takes to get your food here. They were pretty good at clearing off the tables. Note: there is a difference between "clearing" and "cleaning". Crumbs, leftover fries and other detritus was scraped off the tables and allowed to collect on the hard tiled floor. Grease from French fry fragments made the floor slippery. The chairs appeared to be made of wood but were hard metal painted to look like wood. The decor consisted of glowing reviews of their food from out of state newspapers and alleged "food critics" as if you need to be reminded you are eating fine cuisine. Which must work given the reviews here. I'm being generous by rating 5Guys at 2stars. Frankly speaking, you could get a better bacon double cheeseburger at a lower cost at the nearby Burger King. As far as fast food burger chains are concerned, my opinion is that 5 guys blows the competition out of the water by offering great value in the way that Chipotle does for fast Mexican. For 5 dollars I would be hard pressed to find such a generous portion of scrumptious burger anywhere else. With this in mind it is important to remember that this is a chain and not a fine dinning experience. If you are looking for a purely sit down meal and want to spend a few extra dollars I would recommend you go to Port Authority instead. Although the menu is limited primarily to burgers and fries, and if you are vegetarian or looking for other food options you will have to get creative, what is offered on the menu is very good. Pioneering in the emerging market of fast casual dinning, 5 Guys can get you in and out of the door in a matter of minutes if you are in a hurry, but will make you feel comfortable if you wish to stay. My experience with the music and atmosphere has been very positive. The songs they play are on commercial free radio and the variety is quite good and fun to listen to. As a testament to the quality and freshness of their food, the fries and burgers are made in front of your eyes and comes out hot every time. If you are at all like me and are a fan of toppings, a wide and delicious variety is offered at no extra charge (this is where the value comes from). Furthermore the cashiers are quite friendly and you can get free refills so always order a small drink if you are staying to eat your food. Important notes: the Cajun fries are sometimes over spiced and can be overwhelming, therefore ask for the spices on the side if you order them so you can regulate how much you put on them. Also a large order of fries is almost impossible to eat by yourself especially if you are eating a double patty burger so stick with the regular unless you are feeling ravenous. If after everything you still have some room, try Ricks ice cream next door to complete the full assault on your waistline! P.S. Great fast food burger joint if you want better quality than the golden arches. I have visited this establishment a dozen or more times in the past two years. I love the way they announce how many people are walking in the door. Everything is super clean, (yes even the bathrooms) and the folks working there are always cleaning when there is a break in business. The burgers are average, with a soft pretzel type bun, and you can customize your burger with an average array of toppings. Hand cut fries, lots of them, very well prepared, always hot and tasty. Atmosphere can be a bit noisy if the employees crank up the tunes but all in all, a good spot to drop 12 or so bucks for two people. read more

I finally decided to give 5 guys a try. I live in California and am a huge fan of In-N-Out burgers. Let me just say that while this place does its best emulate, It's just not as good. For one, the prices are way too high. $5.19 for a hamburger (no cheese). Are you kidding me? The quality is good and free peanuts make it interesting, but the fact that it took 15 minutes for 2 burgers really hurt the experience. I'm from Brooklyn - it takes a lot to impress me. I loved the cheeseburgers from 5 Guys - they tasted like "home". The french fries were great also. I think the menu is a bit pricey but hey, you get what you pay for. My one complaint is the acoustics - the noise level from the canned music drove me crazy and I wouldn't want to eat there again. Five guys is a great middle ground restaurant. For not much more than say McDonalds you get a burger that's 5 times as good. And actually in my opinion the burgers here are better than what you would get in one of the chain sit down restaurants. The burgers at those places are usually designed around the idea of bigger is better. But what usually happens is the burger is so big it ends up being tough charred and hard to eat. The thinner burgers at five guys are extremely juicy and tender. Add in some top notch fries and you have a great dining experience. read more

I would typically go to Five Guys at least once a week if not more. In the past couple week they have gone down hill to the point I don't think I will be returning. They have changed the type of buns they use and honestly ruined the burgers. Not to mention putting the wrong topping on the burger and no bacon when you pay extra for that. The sauce on the burgers has been getting less and less to the point you feel like you have a dry burger. The past few times orders have not been correct and not during busy times.
