On the day that the owner posted here to email him,I did do that, which was April 6th. 12 days later I got an email back apolgizing for his delay and offering up some free sub cards as an apology. I replied that same day, accepted the cards, even though I reviewed this experience without expecting anything. That was April 24th. This morning, May 19th, I sent a lengthy email letting the owner know that I don't want his cards anymore and we will never set foot in another Jersey Mikes. I really had a craving for a turkey and cheese sub sandwich. Jersey Mike's does it well. My favorite thing about Jersey Mike's is the way they cater to their customers. My service was excellent and the woman who waited on me was so nice. She made sure to add extra pickles and went light on the mayonnaise, just like I had asked her to do. I did notice the prices did go up! They offer three sizes and I got the medium sub. That lasted me for 2 lunches. It is a clean and spacious shop. The sound travels, so it makes it loud inside the restaurant. I usually take my sub to go. My turkey and provolone sub really satisfied my craving. I hope you give them a try. read more

I was waiting for someone so decided to take advantage of my Mike's Club points and pick up my favorite #10 Sub in a Tub style. The location was clean and well maintained. I was quickly and politely greeted. The associate putting on the toppings used a cutter to cut up the tomatoes and the onions. I really appreciated that. I scanned the QR code from the App, but the cashier did not ask if I wanted to use my points. If they can see the points available, it would be nice for them to ask if the customer wants to use them. I came here one day craving a sub which I RARELY crave. I've never heard of Jersey Mike's till moving to the area and decided to try them. I went in and first asked if they still honor birthday freebies and the worker rudely said no...strike 1 but whatever. I was in the middle of ordering my sub when I asked the kid behind the counter if he could toast my sandwich. He rudely replied with his voice a few octaves higher than mine that they don't toast sandwiches. I was confused as to why I was met with so much rudeness and attitude considering I was friendly and polite. It once again pains me to leave a less than stellar review because *most* of the time they do it SO RIGHT! That written, of the three subs ordered today, while all were made correctly, two had hard bread and MUCH less meat than usual. Boyfriend's#13 was a bit anemic when it came to meat, but mine was just ridiculous. Hard bread, tons of lettuce, onion and banana peppers....and almost no meat. I got the #11, my second favorite, one I get frequently. It had one slice of very thin salami and two very thin slices of ham. Was it still good? Yes, hence the three stars. Edit: I didn't get the oil and vinegar. My sub has one tomato and one Jalapeno. She must have been annoyed. I ordered on Uber eats and it doesn't allow you to request oil and vinegar on the side. I called and I believe I spoke to Stephanie. She was soo nice and offered to put some in our bag. She didn't give me a hard time or seem annoyed unlike other sub places that would make it seem like it's an inconvenience. I have been here in a year and thought I would try it again, mistake. I got the #2 it was probably the worst tasting sandwich that I have had in a long time. Jersey Mike's is going the same way as Subway , less meat and more toppings, basically a salad on a roll. The kid who was making the sandwich put meat on then took it off, WTF. Nowadays all our family members are trying to support local eats both big and small daily/weekly/monthly so they stay here to keep serving the neighborhood. Well we'll well. I went back because someone gave me a gift card. Ordered the regular since the "giant" was so disappointing. It looked the exact same as the giant!! But the best part ... They charged me over $20 for the exact same sub??? This place is a joke. However, I must give credit where they deserve it. The meat portion this time was cut thicker than last time and stacked over an inch high. The employees were friendly and helpful. I went to Jersey Mike's on Tuesday. It's truly one of my favorite sub places. There is just something about their subs. My best guess is that it has to do with the freshly sliced meats. I think it makes all the difference. I think I've reviewed another Jersey Mike's where I had a long ode to their freshly sliced meats. Good on them. Takes a lot of extra work... but ya know what... it makes a big difference. In any event, just to note - this review is being written during Coronavirus times. I went in and the dining room was closed off ( like all other dining rooms in the state currently). Good thing to mention that their bathroom is also closed off as well. They were doing things smart. They had the chips behind the counter so people couldn't fumble through chips. Basically, so people wouldn't be me. I always pick up a flavor of chips and am like... nah... I wan't salt and vinegar. I pick up salt and vinegar and I'm like... nahhhh... these are so bad for you. I'll get the baked kind. I pick up the baked kind... ehhh.... nah- how bad could such a small bag of salt and vinegar be? Put back the baked bag and pick up the salt and vinegar bag. Good on them for keeping the chips behind the counter. So, I got a giant club sub... cause basically anytime I go out to get food now I get more than I can eat so I have leftovers and more food in the fridge. The number 31 chicken cheese steak is out of this world. So let me start by how I get it. I normally order the 31 with extra meat and cheese with mayo and bacon. I do lettuce once in a while as well. This sub done right is amazing and to tell you the truth I only will go to the Gaithersburg location because they are always consistent and the customer service is always great. I generally end up in Kentlands seeking a healthy option, but as healthy as I always intend to be, sometimes my tummy takes the wheel and I end up at Jersey Mike's. Jersey Mike's is most famously known for their "Mike's Way" subs, their signature of a full haul of toppings along with a soaking of vinegar and oil. It's personally not my favorite way to do it, but I appreciate it's available. Besides deli style, they also have hot subs, with steak and chicken and cheese. My personal fav is Chipotle Mayo chicken cheese steak + bacon. Not only is it delicious, but it takes two days in the gym to work off! The subs come in a 7' and 14-15'. Needless to say they are massive and are a whole meal, with or without the side, which is a variety of bagged chips. Special shout out to this location for their customer service. The cook misheard my order and put together the wrong sandwich. He didn't say anything as he began putting together the correct sandwich. I was put off for a moment but have patience so I waited. When he came with the correct sandwich, he humbly apologized and gave me a gift card for a free sub. I felt ashamed for having the immediate internal reaction. Dropped by for lunch after golf today and the taller Curley headed young man was more interested in talking to his coworker than taking my order. He was going through the motions. The shorter younger "rosy" cheeked lady who cashed me out was attentive and pleasant. I enjoy the quality of the food, but service matters. The young lady saved the experience for me. I know that it's just a sandwich, but with so much competition pleasant service goes a long way. I'll give them another chance (close to my home). The regular portion is huge (enough to feed two people) and mini is a good single serving size (reminds me of a 6" subway sub) even if it looks smaller. The service is great too. Surprisingly good and authentic renditions of Philly cheesesteaks and NJ deli subs. First, some context: I lived in Philly and NJ for 20 years, and as such am deeply familiar with cheesesteaks and good Italian delis. I was initially skeptical that a chain could faithfully replicate that food, but this place has made me a believer. On my first visit here, I ordered the chicken Philly cheese steak, and it was good, basically as good as the genuine article. Chicken, sliced thin and chopped so it's easy to bite and eat, plus grilled peppers and onions, and provolone cheese - not just placed on top, but melted and stirred in with everything, so that every bite is covered in a layer of melted cheese. All of it served up a good, fresh roll - perfect, just perfect. On subsequent visits, I've enjoyed the various subs they have, with the Jersey Shore (#2) being a fave. The meat and cheese for these subs is sliced to order, and to me that brings extra flavor (if you've ever bought deli meat at the grocery store, and noticed that it tasted great and fresh the day you brought it home, but not quite as good a few days later, you know how important it is for it to be fresh sliced). The sub rolls are good: fresh, soft, with just the right amount of chew. And they've got three sizes to choose from (mini, regular or large), so you can dial in just the right amount of food to suit your needs. Far better than the likes of Subway or Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's is the rare chain that doesn't cost-cut and focus-group its way to mediocrity. There was only one customer in front of us and even when that customer had finished ordering, the employee taking orders walked away without an explanation. Two more employees walked past us to organize napkins and clean up counters, but it took about five more minutes for someone to finally take our order. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and BP had the the Chipotle Cheesesteak. The food took a while until it was ready, longer than I had thought, but when it was finally ready, we could not wait to dive in. Unfortunately, my Chicken Parm was horribly tasteless... It tasted like rubber with marinara sauce. BP's Chipotle Cheesesteak however was awesome. It was zesty, the bread was soft, and the meat was flawless, very tender and juicy. But I just came there at 8:50 when they close at 9 and they told me that they're not doing hot subs, "because the guy already cleaned the grill". I've worked in restaurants. I get it you want to leave early as you can when your shift is up. But don't stay open til 9 if you truly don't. I didn't want to argue as I didn't want a side of spit with my order. So I left. First off, the parking is horrible for this location. When we used to live in the Kentlands, we could and did walk in. Now, when we have to drive there, and park it is more painful. Overall Jersey Mike's does a great job. The folks in the store are friendly. The store is clean and the food is good. The veggies are always fresh (that is critical) and the bread is fresh as well. Jersey Mike's in my humble opinion is a step up from Subway. Always nice to get a great sub on good bread! read more

I could see my order on the counter and eventually asked them to hand it to me. They handed it to me without a word or a thank you and went back to their tasks. Placed an order for two regular subs for delivery via the Jersey Mikes Mobile App - the bread was super hard on one of them as if it was baked or stale in nature. It was not edible at all. I do not drive so that was the point for ordering the food via their mobile app in which they use door dash delivery. I call Jersey Mikes Kentland and was told to call door dash for some reason. I did not understand that - they made the delivery on time - they did not make the food. I am very disappointed for the service of the Kentland, MD location.
