The resteraunt was filthy with trash on and underneath the tables. The napkin holders were empty and the bread was stale and hard as a rock. The store appears to be run by high school students sitting around on their cell phones. An employee picked up the store phone while wearing cooking gloves and proceded to touch the food. The amount of garbage in the food prep area was appalling. I will not be returning. read more

The food is fine, when you actually get your order correct. It takes several attempts each time we order to get the sandwich I order. It appears they don't read anything further than what type of sub you would like and make it the standard way each time. 3 Seperate Occasions now we have had to re-order the subs and get refunded for the first ones. Ordered two cold subs this time - they were okay. Hot subs are always skimpy on meat, and the one time I tried a meatball sub it was literally cold. Gross. Manager was a jerk on most recent visit and they failed to advise they were out of tea prior to us paying. Not impressed. read more

Stopped by yesterday to get a sub. Saw a bunch of young kids behind the counter goofing around. I placed my order, and as I'm watching them prepare my sub, I noticed the filthy conditions. They had pulled the lettuce bin out to put a new one in. But first they dumped the old lettuce that was wilted and brown on top of the new lettuce. All of the pieces of lettuce and other random food scraps on the counter were pushed into the place in the table where the lettuce bin would go, then the lettuce bin was pushed into the table on top of the scraps. The counter was covered in crumbs and pieces of bread. The cutting board that they were about to use to make my sandwich had condiments leftover from previous orders smeared across the side of it. The cutting board had water pooled on top of it, and more random lettuce and onion scraps on it. I was so disgusted that I cancelled my order and left. read more

I've heard wonders about this place, yet have only been here once. Although the experience was slightly bumpy, I'd go back and would recommend to others as well. Pros: FOOD. This is no lame subway or Quiznos: these are beautiful, real subs for a similar price. They cut the meat and cheese right at the counter. We (easily) ordered one cheese steak w/peppers & one w/o, and a tuna sub with extra pickles (all shorter size). All came just as we ordered and were heavenly. We viewed other subs being made, and let me tell you: HUGE! and stuffed with meat & toppings. No one-slice of ham Subway-style here. The staff was charismatic and pretty efficient. Cons: the store size. it's WAY too small. The line was to the door and so people sitting at the tables were squished by people waiting in line. They should expand to the two adjacent empty stores. We took ours for a picnic after seeing there was literally no where to sit w/o someone's bum in our faces. This also makes it a bit chaotic when ordering, and if your sub is not ready when it's your turn to pay, there's really no where to wait either. read more

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I pre-ordered my meal and when I got there...the order wasn't even started nor even known about. The manager seemed bothered that she had to find the order and then start making it. I was treated rudely and condescendingly by her, and when I finally got my order and got home, I found it wasn't even made correctly. And don't ask for crushed red pepper, apparently that is something they can laugh at you for asking about. read more

The Jersey Mikes in spectrum dr. Frederick is the best ! I stopped going to jimmy jones in urbana when I got a stomach ache twice and the service was poor. Jersey Mike's is always pretty yummy, but the 5 stars is for the gluten free option I just discovered!!! Jersey Mike's has a gluten free roll option!!! The roll itself is huge, the taste is good, it's a little dry, but overall delicious and a fun option for those of you with allergies! I'm the customer who walked in right at noon and ordered close to 15 custom sandwiches today.. Firstly I'd like to apologize for my shortsightedness, but secondly thank you for your graciousness in taking on the task of filling the order anyway (not one sandwich was made wrong either, so again I commend your team). I have only been inside a Jersey Mike's perhaps once or twice before and definitely underestimated the stress it would put on your staff. We were VERY disappointed in this location. First, it took at least 5 minutes until anyone decided to take our order. They were all standing at the back talking and looking at their phones. One girl brought a stack of rolls out and looked right at us and then went back. The meat on our sandwiches was sparse..... Normally, theres twice as much! They were not friendly at all. Also, the place definitely needed some TLC. Besides the tables being dirty, the chip racks were really dusty and the napkin holders needed to be cleaned. We didn't even get a thank you. We had to take our receipt off the register because the guy just walked away. They all went in the back again. Another gentleman came in and waited about 5 minutes before I told him to whistle or yell if he wanted service. My husband stopped in to pick up subs for dinner. We've never had a bad experience at Jersey Mike's. However, the subs tonight were sub par at best. He ordered 2 giant subs and half of each regular sub was all bread with no meat. Our total with tip was $38 for 2 subs. That price is completely ridiculous in my opinion for subs, let alone subs that are part just bread. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our dinner tonight at Jersey Mike's. read more

We ordered our regular of 2 giant sandwiches, a Big Kahuna and a Mike's Phili. The staff took our order promptly (we were the only customers) but they proceeded to goof off behind the counter. Joking around. One person cooking then another. It was quite odd to watch. It seemed to take forever for our cheesesteaks to cook on this particular evening. We finally received our sandwiches (I had to ask for my side of lettuce and peppers) and went home. We arrived home to find very meat filled but overcooked steak sandwiches. The steak was plentiful but so overcooked that we couldn't eat the sandwiches. We like to eat half and save half for the next day. Unfortunately, most of both sandwiches went into the trash. I completely agree with the comment about the haphazard ordering system at this place. It is a complete joke!! I have been here twice and each time the act of actually placing my order has been a royal pain and is extremely frustrating to the point that I doubt weather I would go again. So each time I have been there I went in and was asked for my order. I often place multiple orders (to take back to the office) and after giving my order the 1st sandwich maker will say "I only deal with hot sandwiches, you need to go down the line for cold sandwiches" I will get a receipt from him for the hot subs. After going down the line I have to repeat myself all over again to the cold sandwich makers. They never give me a ticket. Upon paying the person at the register they see the receipt and charge me for the hot subs only. I then have to remind him that I have cold subs ordered. By the time I am done with this transaction my hot subs are ready but wait, I need condiments. I now have to push back into the cold subs line to pass on the message that I need lettuce etc. These people need to get technology!!!!! Going to Firehouse Subs is a pleasure. You place your order. It gets put in a computer and you are done job sorted. If Jersey Mikes is to survive at this location they need to figure out a better system than they have right now. Don't even get me started on the numbering system for the subs. It just makes a confused ordering process even worse. One more thing, some subs you can get small/medium/large and others medium and large. It's not a major gripe but don't these people know the concept of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) The subs themselves are ok. I had the cheese steak, and the southwest steak. The meat is the standard sandwich shop meat (think subway), however the famous roast beef has pretty rare beef which can be a treat. Either way the quality of the food comes nowhere near to making up for the pain that is ordering your sandwich. A disappointing 1 star. Go to firehouse subs you will get a much better sandwich and a lot less hassle. read more

I am originally from New Jersey. I have been to the original Jersey Mike's in Point Pleasant, NJ. Let me tell you, this is how you do a sub sandwich. The bread has made fresh, is soft without being chewy and it has flavor! (Try and say that about Subway's bread). There are dozens of sandwich fillings and the meat is cut fresh in front of you. It was a joy to have a real sub sandwich, wet (that is soaked in oil and vinegar) with just the right balance of meat to bread to veggie ratio. Can't wait to come back! read more

This was my first time at Jersey Mikes.I came in about 7:30 pm. on the 15th of April. Not to busy maybe 3 orders ahead of me. By the time I got my order 15 minutes had past. The tall boy cutting bread and meat was brain dead, the rest of the crew just didn't have it together. This place is amazing. Everything is always fresh. The deli meat and cheese is sliced when you order. It's not piled up in stacks like most places. The subs are made in front of you to your specifications. The subs are huge. I've eaten both their hot and cold subs. It's become our go to place since moving north. Great place. He was very helpful and I ordered the ham and provolone - #3. The place was busy since it was lunch time on a Saturday, but I received my food quickly and the order was correct. I love jersey mikes, I frequently visit the mount airy location. Generally this location is friendly but is very flawed. The place is always dirty and does not look like they ever clean the tables. The bathrooms are always missing paper towels and toilet paper. What really threw me off and prompted me to write this was the female employee who was blatantly speaking with her drug dealer speaking of pick ups/drop offs. There were numerous customers so that really concerned me. Other than the one employee everyone was helpful and friendly. read more

Jersey Mike's never disappoints. As a place nationally known for cold subs they do have a ridiculous cheesesteak though. Do yourself a favor go in there and get a #42 with bacon and you will not be disappointed.
