The owner was very nice, and the original staff were incredible on all fronts. The store was always clean, everyone had a smile on their face, and they made you feel genuinely welcome. One guy in particular was an amazing worker: always prompt, on top of keeping everything clean, and bringing your food out with a smile. A true jack of all trades. Sadly, I haven't seen him there in a while. It pains me to say this, but over time, the quality has gone downhill. This isn't a one-time thing either. It's been trending down over my last several visits. The first couple of times, I brushed it off, thinking maybe it was an off day, or maybe it was new staff, since the original crew seems to be gone. But after that, it was clear this wasn't something to brush off anymore. The bread is the biggest letdown. It's no longer fresh, and biting into it now feels like biting into stale bread. For anyone who doesn't know, the bread is what makes a banh mi special, so this is a big deal. The meat in mine has also seemed a little lighter than it used to be. The bubble tea has slipped too. When I order light ice, they've been ignoring it and filling the cup more than halfway with ice. When I brought it up last time, the worker told me that there is nothing they can do and that no ice would cost extra, which isn't even what I asked for. If light ice isn't something they actually do, it shouldn't be offered as an option. I really hope they get back to what they used to be, because at its best, this was one of my favorite spots.
