So we ordered online to save time. The giant subs all turkey and provolone went some minor requests. We arrived and they were still being built in the back. Several walks in came in and out with their food. Note to self for faster service lever in store also to ensure your order is as requested. One needed to be light mustered and it was the opposite. So I actually love coming here...service is almost always great. Food is good and staff is friendly and helpful....with that being said whenever I walk in and this particular employee is working I know it's gonna be rough...and not just slightly...she is rude and always has an attitude, consistently gets my sandwich wrong...to the point that I now think it is on purpose. My husband can't have his cell phone at work so I ordered him a sandwich via Postmates. When he received it, there was a long hair in the sandwich. He was disgusted and threw it away. Postmates refused to give us a refund unless he had a photo showing this. Because he's not allowed to have his cell phone at work, he was unable to take a photo. Jersey Mike's in Burien is still going strong. Shout out to Emily for not giving up, being amazingly outgoing, and friendly ... On her FIRST day! I had to update the review just for that alone. I ordered off menu (the 99 is where it is at) and got my roommate a veggie. Crisp, clean, and great update to the store. I am glad to be back at this location after a 5 year break outside the state! Have been coming here since they opened. Back then it was ran beautifully with great food and even better customer service. We come here at least 2 times a week. But today I think will be our final visit. We put in an online order and when we arrived to pick up our sandwich it was made "Mike's way" instead of our custom order. We let the manager (guy in red shirt) know it was incorrect and he proceeded to slam the sandwich in the garbage and began remaking the sandwich all the while slamming everything he touches back onto the counter. My partner and I stopped in this afternoon to get two sandwiches. I truly couldn't believe how smoothly everyone behind the counter got along and every single staff knew how to work well do their job well! So, I decided to grab a quick dinner last night and thought, "hey - why not give Jersey Mike's a try?!", seeing as how my dad always had good experiences to share... Worst. Idea. Ever. I called to place my order at approximately 6pm. I was sitting in my car, outside the business and could see they weren't super busy. The girl working the phone/counter was not the slightest bit friendly, and sounded very irritated, despite my super simple order. I requested one giant "Big Kahuna" on White, one "Ruben" on Rosemary, and one "Meatball" on white. Was given no pick-up time, and went in to pay, about 10min later. There was a friendly gentleman, and two rude females. I had a coupon for buy two , get one free - bringing the total up to $32. Leaving a $2+ tip, on my way out, due to speed of order. Well, little to say, once I got home, I realized why it was so fast...the sandwiches were made like trash (all, aside from my husband's Big Kahuna). My Ruben had virtually no dressing, sauerkraut was unevenly distributed, and the pastrami was lacking...dry, and of little substance, all-in-all...it was almost inedible, but I wasn't driving back. Then, there is my 9yo daughter's meatball sub. It was leaking sauce everywhere, overstuffed, and under-heated. She immediately requested a fork (for a f$&@ing SANDWICH, mind you). And, to top it off - they hadn't even cut the damn thing in half. Overall, the one star is for my husband. This experience was poor on every level for me. $32.00 for ONE fully edible sandwich (had my dad take the other half of mine, and daughter asked if he would take her's, too - he said, no) majority rude service, and garbage quality for the rest of the food. Rude rude rude! They had a GIANT open sign in the window and a bunch of people inside working. I naturally thought they were open - the door was locked. I looked inside and they shook their head no. No explanation, nothing. When I pointed at their sign one of the many employees gestured no then put up two fingers - I got they were opening at 11. I walked away wondering why they would have the open sign up before they were ready. A white construction worker walked up after me and did the same thing- saw the giant sign and found the door locked. They actually walked out and said something to him- and let him in! Walked back and the woman with the fingers started yelling "we are open at 11! We ain't got the lights up even!" Mumbled something as she walked away The construction worker kindly told me they could make a sandwich on wheat if we wanted. That's what they told him-- but not to me. I go to this Jersey Mike's quite often, so this review is aimed to help them improve versus turn people away, because Jersey Mike's is great. Customer service has been rough lately. I understand the team is busy, but several members of the staff can be quite rude. The store itself had a nice remodel but it feels dirty inside. Today there was a storm of flies and it didn't seem like the staff cared. There are homeless people outside of the restaurant that keep their space very messy and dirty. It makes for a less comfortable dine in experience. I'm all for supporting our homeless, but maybe find a way to help them in a different space? Lastly quality and quantity. The bread has been stale and not fresh my last few visits,, and I really think the portions of protein on the sandwich have decreased. They might not have, but it feels like it. I went here a little while back and ordered a turkey sandwich. The girl making mine didn't clean off the surface where she was preparing it and there was still bits and pieces from the people before me( the place was empty when I walked in) and she kept touching things with the same gloves she was preparing my food with. I ordered turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato.... when she gets to the lettuce she starts scraping up the pieces that had fell onto the counter and putting them on my sandwich. I didn't say anything, just kept observing. When I got home and was looking it over i see there was a large ball of her hair in it and I was just so grossed out. She was nice and friendly which is why I just couldn't bring myself to say anything, but she was definitely not serving sanitary food to customers and I will never ever go back lol. They do not get the correct sandwich made and are always wrong at the cashier stage. So I went in to try again this shop; now I will not go there again. So I ordered a #7 Turkey and provolone extra meat; got a chip and a pop. My son ordered #17 chips and pop. My sub did not even have enough turkey to count it as regular let alone extra meat charge of $2.25 for a regular size sub. I was supposed to only be charged my chip as I had a birthday deal. I was charged for a pop extra meat and a chip. We combined orders so I did not notice until I got home from the receipt. My son was to get a free chip and pop and just pay sandwich with Labor Day deal. He got charged the sandwich like should have been but also his pop was too. This is my 6 time that they cannot make a correct sandwich and do not know how to charge people. I give up. read more
