I'm a regular at Jersey Mikes franchises - and a big fan of them at that. I've gone to them out of state and even in Manhattan. Hands down this best sandwich franchise around for sure. I was thrilled when two locations opened in Brooklyn ( one on 7th and one on 5th - and YES I've been to both ) Personally I like the 7th Avenue Location better than the 5th avenue location because they actually listen. My go to item to get is The Giant Sized Original Italian sub + extra meat, Mikes way. Nothing beats this fresh sandwich on a hot summer day. Nothing. I'm truly addicted to this sandwich lol. The last time I came in, I ordered two Original Italians with extra meat and the person preparing made sure it was made with extra meat, and went out of their way to make sure it looked like it was to my liking. I wish I had gotten his name, as he was super kind, and had the best customer service. Props to the 7th Ave location for making sure, for me and looking out!

My stomach hurts but the Philly cheese steak sandwich was tasty. I ordered online so I highly recommend this option as it is a quick in and out of the shop. I noticed many complained about the service but these franchise joint - please be kind to one another - everyone is trying to get back and pay their bill. The young man saw my order and kindly handed my bag to me. The sandwich was fresh and the people working there are doing their best

Went during their opening week when they had the $2 donation deal. I became a Jersey Mike's fan after having the #13 in the LAX airport, so I was very happy to see this new location. I went for the #6, the roast beef, Mike's way and I thought it was okay. The bread wasn't as good as I remembered it to be. The staff is friendly and the store is clean.

They sent me salt & vinegar chips which I didn't order.

I'm only updating this because I think the shop on 7th Avenue deserves it. I went for tuna and although I had to wait for the manager to make some fresh, everyone was very nice and cordial while I waited. I can tell they work hard and businesses that do the right thing deserve good reviews as well. Thanks 7th Avenue for making my experience better than my delivery order from the 5th Avenue , Park Slope location ! I will be back and make sure I let you know it's me. Blessings

Really gross drab sandwiches. Filthy slicer. Generally unpleasant experience. Sidewalk outside was covered in JM branded garbage.

There's a couple of tables in a small store. Above the register there's a menu board resembling a train departures board, cycling through the options (it looks neat, but the printed out menu on your right is a lot more practical). There's a cooler with drinks and salads as you enter on the right. The sandwiches, however, are something special. On my first visit I went with something familiar, the Mean Streets (their Italian sandwich). The bread itself is fantastic (locally baked), and the toppings delicious as well (if I recall correctly the dressings are house made). Pleasantly, they also give you a paper plate with your order, which is a nice touch compared to eating off a wrapper. I enjoyed the first sandwich so much I came back the next day to try the No Sleep Til Gravesend. The sandwich is essentially a hot roast beef sandwich, with a jus on the sandwich reminiscent of a French Dip. Perfect on a cold, rainy day. Overall, 1 of 1 has great (and mostly house made) ingredients and great execution. There's a level of creativity on the menu that you rarely see elsewhere in the city. 1 of 1 is among the best sandwich shops in the city, and a very welcome addition to the area.

Brooklyn DOP - Pizza slices (La Regina, Giseupp (NY style), Nona Mena (grandma) and DOP Sicicilian)

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.

We come to sit, talk, share stories, our personal experiences and of course sip a fabulous beverage. I'm seeing this more and more as I visit fabulous coffee places.. Konditori, Villager, Bakeri, Hidden Grounds, and now Velvette Brew. First, the space: light, airy and I can imagine with their big windows, a sun soaked place on a sunny day. There are plenty of seats: tables and high top tables. Their menu offers a bit of everything from soup, sandwiches, quiche and pastries. There is a nice option of beverages hot/cold. Today, was a bit damp so I ordered a hot chai with bite size checkerboard cookies to dip. The barista was very pleasant and I found a seat while waiting for my chai. I see a lot of patrons working in laptops, some meeting up to talk and sip and even the barista chatted with a local patron. Love it! My chai was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The chai was frothy, rich, the black tea leaves infused with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, sweetener, and milk. I savored every sip and complimented the barista. It is always great to find a new coffee place. I expect to be a loyal local at Velvette Brew. They also host music events and have a collaboration with Cry Baby Ice Cream. It is located in the heart of Park Slope. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Velvette Brew 279 5th Avenue B63 to 3rd and 5th or R to Union Street, 10 minute walk.
