Not all Jersey Mike's are the same. Nothing like they show in those TV commercials. I was in the area of this location, stopped in, and ordered my typical # 6. Disappointing. The cheese was sliced so thin you could see through the slice, and put the minimum cheese on the sandwich that they could. The roast beef wasn't much better. I don't believe corporate should allow this, as it cheapens the brand, and people think this is how Jersey Mike's subs are. My local shop does a much better sandwich. The owner should be watching to make sure their product meets standard quality. This location fails. Will not be going back. read more

Staff was clearly overwhelmed and way behind on orders. Placed an order online for pickup and 45 minutes later things were in disarray. Counter filled with orders and least 10 people waiting for pick up plus a constant stream of customers coming in the door to order on the fly. Social distancing was questionable at best. I paid 17 dollars for an order but left out of frustration without picking it up because it was just a bad. You can keep my money, give it to the staff, God knows they need it. In my opinion this place should close or do online ordering only especially during covid-19 with a small space and an overwhelmed staff. If a sub is going to take 2 hours to make them let customers know. I would avoid this location unless it's very early or late. Corporate needs to figure out a better way to run the business here especially uring the pandemic or close the restaurant until it's safe to do so. read more

This was my first Jersey Mike's experience ever. I'm late to the game. We stopped here on our way to PA to grab a quick lunch. There was a line of about 15 people ahead of us. Since both my husband and I wanted hot subs, we were able to skip ahead a bit as the others were ordering cold subs. I had a meatball and my husband had chicken bacon ranch. Both were just okay. We had to deal with the employees being frustrated with another behind the counter while trying to work and complete orders which resulted in them taking it out on the customers, myself included. We all were rushed, disrespected, and yelled at for absolutely no reason. After I was screamed at the customers asked if they really just yelled at me as they were in such disbelief like myself. In general, I think Jersey Mike's is maybe 3 stars (for out-of-towners). But for this location, the price is comparable to the other local places (a little pricey). Also the staff has been super-friendly which I think is easily 5 stars (which I am heavily considering doing just for the staff)... although I have not been here during peak hours hence my slight reservation. I've been here a few times. My preferences have been the Italian, but may have found a new favorite with the Pastrami Reuben. Roast beef is a little dry even with Mike's Way. I heard good things about Tuna but have yet to try it. Sandwiches are much better than Subways. I do prefer some sandwiches over the local sandwich shops, but the sandwich shops also have their own specialties but usually with a higher premium on cost. read more

I ordered over the phone and they put me "on hold" but I could hear everything that was going on for a few minutes. I hung up and called back a few times with no answer, I was going to give up when they called me back. I placed my order with many apologies from the server. They were quick and gave me my order but as I was waiting I noticed the floor was messy with spilled food and plastic gloves where the workers were working. Do not order. That's all I can say. I called and placed a large catering order via telephone for a client working session we were having. The employee on the phone was clearly new, young, etc, which is fine. Got the order in, got a price quote, requested a receipt, confirmed the time, hung up. The next day, food was due at 11:45 to give time to set up prior to our lunch break. My client and I both had our phones on hand awaiting a call from the delivery team or the security saying the food was there. At 12:15, we did not have a call. I called the store, who informed me that the delivery had arrived and left, because no one answered their phones. They sent the delivery back "immediately", which really means 15 minutes. The food is now 45 minutes late. The two girls delivering brought the food into the building, and left. I requested a receipt and she said she would leave it at security - when I left later, it was not there. As I needed a receipt to expense for work, I called a couple of days later and requested. Did not receive a call back. Called again, spoke to the "Owner and Operator" who informed me he had to request through corporate, and it should be back in 2-3 business days. He also said he was the one who took my order originally, which was clearly a lie as the person who took my order had no idea what to ask and a completely different voice. A full week goes by, and I have not heard a word. I call again, and leave a message. No call back. Call again, same message, same unreturned call. The food was fine, but we didn't have enough plates/napkins, and we got waters and not all the sodas we paid for. For the hassle and COMPLETE lack of service from this place ("owner and operator"), I'd highly advise staying away. Find another sandwich place. read more

I'd heard people refer to Jersey Mike's Subs before with reverence, so we had them cater a meeting. Can't say I was super impressed by the sandwiches (though there was nothing wrong with them). I later learned from a friend that most of the love for Jersey Mike's is from nostalgia and the fact that they cut the meat to order, which makes them better than Subway or Quiznos (high praise, I know). Not clean!! Sandwiches with cross contamination. The sandwiches that you order are stacked next to each other. So if you are a vegetarian your lettuce will touch sandwiches with meat! I first want to start a disclaimer-I love Jersey Mike's Subs and in my opinion is the best sub chain in the northeast. However, this particular location was disappointing to say the least. I went this past week into this location and as always around lunch it was pretty busy. I got in line, waited and ordered my usual. Then I went up to pay, I got out my credit card out and the cashier told me 'Cash only, our machine is down'. I said we'll I don't have cash, I only have credit. Then the cashier rudely replied 'well there was a sign on the door'. I then looked over to the door and the sign was maybe a little bit bigger than 8 1/2 by 11. Secondly, I am pretty sure someone held the door open for me which would have prohibited me from seeing the sign in the first place. Even if someone didn't hold the door open, I was looking in to see how long the line was to see if it was worth the wait. Regardless they should have had the crew members reiterate that their machine was down to avoid this fiasco. There was a gentleman in front of me who had the same issue. Fortunately for him, he was a regular and they told him he could pay the next time he was in. For me, I asked him where the closest ATM was. He pointed me in the direction and I was on my way. However when I left I was so ticked I got in my car and drove away. This lunch was supposed to be on my travel card and it is outside company policy to pay with cash. No conception that resolving the misunderstanding is a chance to cement a customer relationship. First off, I would like to say that I am an admitted sub snob, and I never, ever thought I would convert to a chain restaurant sub shop. I love my subs stuffed with a good amount of meats and cheeses, and over the past 2 years my old go-to Just Subs has been skimpy and not worth the travel or cost. I AM CONVERTED! Not only is Jersey Mike's conveniently located, but I have visited the store 4x in the couple of weeks it has been open and it has been consistently fresh, outstandingly delicious and the staff welcoming and friendly. They never make you feel rushed or silly for asking a question about the menu. I hope it stays this way! I only wish the staff had offered to set me up with the loyalty program, especially since I have already visited 4x. I went to the Warren location today, and they signed me up, and the staff member let me know that Jersey Mike's staff is supposed to mention it every single interaction. Stopped in on a Saturday at 3pm. Employees eating Chinese food from next door in the restaurant while the place was unbelievably filthy. Every table had dirty napkins and lettuce on it. The floor had napkins all over it. Behind the counter looked like it had not been cleaned all day. Very disappointing. I did not eat because it was so filthy. When you walk into Jersey Mike's, you nose will be filled with intoxicating. For a chain restaurant, the environment is clean and friendly and the subs are delicious. In Bernardsville, I would suggest going here as I think it is quick and great for a to-go meal. The prices could be cheaper, but for subs this mouth-watering, I wouldn't complain. The lines are sometimes packed around noon but it's can be worth the wait to have a great lunch or a future dinner.
