After receiving my last four sandwiches with only a few sad thin slices of meat (seriously, I personally need protein) at surprisingly comparable prices now (food inflation is insane! & $5 deals are long gone), Jersey Mike's is my new BF. I have eaten at JM's a handful of times in years past and thought it was a-ok. I was recently in desperate need of some comfort food. I'm a sucker for a good Philly, but I am also a HUGE snob. I had heard great things about JM's "Steak & Cheese." I decided to go for it full indulgence, with all of the cheese, peppers, and onions. I have to admit it did not disappoint. What the heck lol I love Jersey Mikes, I have never been to this location. I got a sandwich today and added avocado and it was brown and tasted like it was rotting all of the avocado on the sandwich was brown rotting not just a piece so my whole sandwich was ruined. So, I decided to give Jersey Mike's a shot instead. I ordered the mini Chipotle Turkey Sub with hot chopped pepper relish on Rosemary Parmesan Bread, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The sandwich was packed with flavor and so satisfyingly hearty. I could even taste the deliciousness of the bread itself! This might just be my new go-to spot for subs. Plus, ordering online made the whole process quick and easy for pickup. If you're calorie-conscious, opt for the mini subs because their regular-sized subs can be high in calories. Up until now, I'm sure I'd been to every sandwich chain in Austin -- except Jersey Mike's. Not sure what put me off (except its distance from my house), but after reading plenty of raves -- and plenty of negative Yelp reviews -- I decided it was time to take care of the last chain on the list. The bottom line is that Jersey Mike's makes a great sandwich. The "meats and cheeses cut to order" gimmick is a smart one -- at the very least you can see you are not getting mystery meat birthed out of some shrinkwrapped bag, though to some extent many of the meats seem to look (and taste) about the same. The line was long when I went (lunchtime) but it moved quickly, and everyone I interacted with had a big smile on their face. Reports of rude service at this location are many, but I didn't see or experience it. I had one of Mike's cold subs (regular size) and found it hearty but easy enough to finish. Pro tip: "Mike's Way" is good but add pickles. The sandwich is just not complete without them. I'll definitely be back to try some of Mike's hot subs in the future. read more

Having some good experiences at my local Jersey Mike's (Belterra location) I ventured in for a togo lunch. Actually even downloaded the app which is rare. Only food app I've technically abused would be Sonic to get better prices on drinks. So, I'm in my office thinking do I really want to eat the same food I made three days ago? Hit a few buttons on my phone because I was craving a cheesesteak. A few more swipes AKA proving I wasn't a robot and I was on the way to picking up lunch. App order done, told me 15 minutes. I walked out with my sammich in 12. I may never get to Pat's or Gino's in Philly; this sammich was more than adequate and since it's Texas you can get jalapenos! Ordered again the next week with excellent results. Only transgression so far was I ordered a mini sammich as I had breakfast and it came with super stale ends of the regular white bread. It's wasn't edible. Also been ordering thru the app for drinks and the occasional cookie as a snack. Only thing that would make it perfect would be a poblano pepper option! read more

Being from the Travis County area I have always loved Jersey Mike's Subs as they make a great sandwich. However, when waiting for my sandwich I was spoken to with a condescending attitude and treated with disrespect by multiple staff members. I do not know if they have fired all of their kind staff members who used to work there, but this treatment was simply unacceptable in any profession. I walked in excited for my sandwich and left with a loss of appetite. Regarding ambiance, the restaurant is relatively nice, but quite small compared to other establishments I've been to. I sometimes choke on words and when I was there on August 1 at noon, I was thinking of what I wanted and the employee I was talking to to quietly said to a coworker " why is this so hard". Very disappointed asked and showed a picture of the #66 which was t portablella cheese steak instead they insisted it was #64 which meant there was no meet, and didn't think to mention or ask if I wanted meat when I specifically said with steak. Then was told to go sit down and they will call out my name and when ready which meant I was thinking able to see and communicate what was wrong. When realizing there was no steak I called and told them and was basically told it was my fault since I ordered a 64 which in fact was not what I wanted. Well all I can say that I was appalled at how they treated my wife, as well as shocked at how intoxicated the staff was tonight. They couldn't understand simple requests no matter how many times explained, and would make rude remarks when my wife would ask for something. This place really deserves zero stars. This was mine and sisters first time coming to jersey mikes. We work here in the mall and thought we would try it out on our lunch break, because we had heard good things. Sadly our experience was less then satisfactory. Jen was the girl making our sandwiches and her attitude was just disgusting. We had both told her this was our first time so we were not familiar with how to order. When she asked us if we wanted it "mikes way" we both asked what that was. With the most annoyed face and voice she said it's on the menu in red. Needless to say I will NEVER eat at any jersey mikes again because of her poor attitude. The sandwiches weren't all that great, nothing special and extremely expensive for a dinky sandwich. Ps based on some of the other reviews, I would strongly recommend hiring a whole new staff, because your current staff doesn't seem to want to do their job. Great service! My wife is deathly allergic to Dairy, not intolerant, but anaphylaxis. When she noticed that they used the same slicer for both meat and cheese, she was disappointed she wouldn't be able to get any food. Without hesitation the Women behind the counter said "I can clean it off for you." She cleaned the slicer with great detail and was polite and patient. We will definitely keep coming back! Jersey Mike's is a pretty good sandwich place. Unfortunately, this location is pretty bad. The employees here aren't really friendly (some are, most aren't). They always mess up the orders; literally, everytime we have gone to this location. The only thing consistent about this location is that you can expect your order to be messed up.
